Story
We got Marlowe from the Michigan Humane society, she is 1 and 1/2 years old. I think she would thrive in a home with no other cats and with a family that likes to go on adventures! She enjoys car rides and definitely still has a lot of that kitten energy. She is very clever, and can be trained to do food puzzles and even fetch (she can get into some mischief as well). She'll treat every horizontal service like a place for her lay it all out and chill, including you! If you're looking for kitty with a lot of personality and fun then Marlowe is for you!

Story
This little guy was a stray cat living outside, starving for both food and attention. He had some cuts on his face and an upper respiratory infection, but he was still really affectionate to humans and nearby dogs. We took him home, saw a vet the next day, and it turns out he is FIV+. As we have other cats in the household, we can't keep him like we intended. But don't let that stop you from loving him! He shows no symptoms and most FIV+ cats have normal lifespans and can live rewarding lives. FIV is only transmissible to other cats and is only transmitted through deep bite wounds. He's about a year old, got his vaccines, and was treated for fleas and his URI, so he's perfectly healthy otherwise. He was neutered on 8/27/25. He deserves a good home without any other cats (or with other FIV+ cats) where he can play and be loved on! He'll be begging for cuddles and love. He's very vocal and playful - as you can see in the second pic of him rolling around on the floor at the vet's office.

Story
Meet Gummy Bear, a delightful feline resident of our local shelter. Known for his friendly and mellow nature, Gummy Bear enjoys a good play session as much as a cozy nap in a sunny spot. His goofy antics are sure to bring smiles, and his sweet disposition makes him a great companion. Whether you`re looking for a playful buddy or a calm friend to relax with, Gummy Bear fits the bill perfectly. Adopting Gummy Bear means giving him the loving home he deserves and enjoying the unique joy a pet like him brings.Gummy Bear has a history of being agitated by other cats in the shelter, and was in conflict with cats at a previous adopter`s home. For these reasons it is highly recommended that he be adopted to a home where he is the only cat.

Story
Yoohoo is a part of our Hardworking Cats program. This program is generally for cats that would not be suited for traditional adoption, but that would thrive as barn cats, warehouse mousers, or indoor/outdoor companions. Hardworking cats often enjoy a level freedom and independence that other cats may not require but can bring the benefit of chemical free pest control and successfully deter other unwanted animal guests from your property.Yoohoo came to Michigan Humane after being left by his previous family. He is not a feral cat, but is very under socialized and stoic. Yoohoo is not an outgoing guy, rather he is an independent fella that keeps to himself. He likes to hide and keep from sight but will come out at nighttime to feed, explore, and socialize with other cats - especially his brother, Nesquik. Yoohoo unfortunately was not able to be safely returned to his original environment and is now looking for a new farm or barn to call his new home.Due to his lack of socialization and timid nature, we believe that Yoohoo would be best suited as a barn cat. If Yoohoo is going to live in a barn, it is important that he be slowly introduced to the environment and contained for 1-2 weeks while adjusting as he may flee from his new home if allowed to roam free too quickly. It is also important that even though he will be an outdoor barn cat, his adopter will still need to provide food, water, and necessary vet care. Yoohoo is a calm, laid back guy that generally minds his own business and keeps to himself, but does come around when he knows it`s time to eat!

Story
Hey there, wonderful folks! I'm Chickie, and I'm learning that the world isn't such a scary place after all. Getting head scratches and being showered with love? Count me in—it's pretty awesome! I'm that gorgeous tabby with a white belly and an adorable pink nose that you've been dreaming of. As the sun casts its warm glow, you'll find me enjoying the perfect spot, taking in the beauty of the day. I've been observing from afar, and I've got to say, people are growing on me! I like hanging around with my feline friends and, believe it or not, I'm even good with respectful dogs. While I haven't had the pleasure of meeting smaller kids, I'm pretty sure I'd be just fine with a gentle and respectful child. All my medical needs are sorted—I'm FIV- and FELV-. My adoption fee includes vaccines, spaying, and a microchip. I'm ready to bring a touch of sweetness and charm into your life! Ready to let this shy beauty blossom into the affectionate companion you've been searching for? Visit providingforpaws.org to make me, Chickie, a cherished member of your forever family. Let's create a lifetime of love together! Visit providingforpaws.org to submit an adoption application for me!
