Jenny is a young sweet girl who likes to sleep in baskets and loves to be outside on the screened porch bird-watching. She also enjoys the company of her BFF, Apricot (her foster kitty brother!) Jenny's ideal home is one that is more on the quiet side. She'd like a very patient family to let her adjust to her new home at her own pace, and who won't pick her up. He is a very sweet boy that loves being around people (but he also very much enjoys snoozing on the screened porch by himself), he just doesn't like being held. He has a very cute meow. Apricot came to us as a pretty small baby and has flourished in foster care. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, fiv/felv-, and microchipped. To apply please visit apply.neshamarescue.org.

Story
Will-O-Wisp had a very tough start in life. He was trapped by animal control from a home that was hoarding cats inside and outside their home. He was one of he unlucky ones that was forced to fend for himself outside. It must have been so terrifying for him. It is a testament to his courage that he survived at all. He had some access to food, but he was small and underweight when he came to us. His interaction with people was likely minimal. He is a little guy but is tough as nails. He loves other cats but is a little leery of humans right now. He has made great strides since he came into foster care. He accepts chin rubs, loves to rub your legs, marking you as his own. He even will come out and greet you when you come into the room. The purrfect home for him would be someone who has a friendly cat that will be his buddy and is willing to work with him in a small room until he gets comfortable. He wants to badly to interact – he just needs time and patience. Willie is a wonderful kitty. For more information or to apply to adopt please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/

Story
Junior Mint came to Purr Partners as a shy little boy, not used to being around people and other animals. He took immediately to the other foster cats and loves to play with them. When he is held he purrs and purrs, and if he is alone with his foster mom, he wants her attention and will stretch out on the cat tree and reach out to her. He has become efficient with the computer and he especially loves to help his foster mom work. 😻Junior Mint has tested positive for FIV, but that is not an issue. It is NOT contagious to other cats except through deep puncture wounds like those caused in fights by two unneutered males. It is NOT transmitted by using the same food and water bowls, litter boxes or toys, and many of us have FIV cats happily living with non-FIV cats in our own homes. FIV positive cats, with good vet care such as you would give any cat, can live a normal life span. 🐾For more information or to apply to adopt please go to: https://www.purrpartners.org/adopt/

She will occasionally sit with her foster mom, if she doesn't already have cats on her, as Poetry does not like to cause a fight with the others. Story
Cloud is a very outgoing, energetic, and personable fellow!  He loves cuddles and gives head butts. Good with older kids. Probably fine with a nice dog. He is neutered and current on shots. Cloud has tested positive for the feline leukemia virus. At this time he is perfectly healthy and should live many years. He also has mild cerebellar hypoplasia which leaves him a little wobbly but can walk, climb, run and jump as well as any other, just doesn't land as gracefully as he thinks he does.  Know that Cloud is as super smart as he is super handsome.  He must go to a home with no other cats or with cats who are vaccinated for FeLv. He might require additional occasional veterinary treatments if the virus flares up. Please submit an adoption application at www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##1196073##

Story
Abby is a mature and independent feline who loves to enjoy her solitude! As cats grow older, they often become less interested in socializing with other cats or dogs. They prefer to spend their time relaxing and sleeping in a peaceful environment. It's important to provide older cats like Abby with a comfortable and quiet space where she can retreat for when she needs some alone time. This could be a cozy bed in a quiet room or a favorite spot in the sun. Additionally, providing plenty of toys and stimulation can keep her entertained and mentally stimulated during the day. As for affection, Abby loves attention - on her own terms, of course! Many cats enjoy being petted and cuddled, but it's important to always respect their boundaries and not force them to interact if they don't want to. When I'm in the mood for some love, I'll let my human know by approaching them and rubbing against them. Overall, it's wonderful  knowing what I like and don't like. I want to keep enjoying my peaceful and relaxing lifestyle! Abby is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all shots. For more information and to fill out an application, go to www.pawsforlifenc.org. Foster to adopt option is available. ##552665##
