Story
I found Pumpkin at a Girl Scout camp. She was about nine months old at the time. She is now ten years old. She loves to be friends with other animals. She looks disappointed if another cat or dog does not want to lay with her. I think she will be good as an only cat too. She loves laps. She was overweight at one time. She was unable to clean her backside. I had to do that for her. She lost weight and can take care of that for herself now. Other than being a little overweight, she has no health issues. She must be an indoor only cat. She has not been outside for more than nine years. She will not know how to survive outside.

Story
This is Luna. She is 8 years old. She came with my elderly parents who moved in with us several months ago. We have cats of our own and 4 kids. Unfortunately she did not make the transition well and needs to be rehomed. My mom says she used to be a sit in your lap and snuggle kind of cat and she now spends most of the day hiding. We took her to the vet and they said she is completely healthy. I believe she just needs to be in a kid free, single pet household to truly thrive and be happy again. She is very loving and really such a sweet cat. She can be timid at first but loves getting pats and snuggles. She’ll reward you with purrs and sandpaper kisses. She is spayed and has been up to date on shots in the past but is due for a rabies shot now. Asking for a $20 rehoming fee to ensure she goes to a good home. Please be patient with her. She's been stressed and she deserves a happy, quiet environment.

Story
I wanted to refresh the information on this special little guy, as he is truly one of the sweetest cats I've ever had the pleasure of knowing and he deserves a home of his own with at least one other cat buddy. First, about his eye, it comes from an infection he had as a kitten. We thought he would need to have it removed like we did for his siblings, but the vet assured us that no further work is needed now. The eye only lets in a tiny bit of light, hence the cloudiness, but because it is still kept functioning this way it is not in danger of failing. Plus it gives it that super-cool star pattern, fitting of his personality. But more about him, he literally follows me around all day and wants nothing more than loving attention. He loves to play with his fostermates, and keeps active with all manner of felt mice and crinkle toys. He's fine with dogs and kids based on his foster home environment, though would need to go to a home with another cat ideally. With a disposition as sweet and playful as his, he would be a great addition to any household!

Story
Theo is a sweet boy who came to us and quickly took us on quite the journey! A few days after taking him in, his foster mom noticed he was not eating and seemed to have an upper respiratory infection. He went to the vet the next morning where they discovered more was going on and he was rushed into emergency surgery for a blocked urethra. He has recovered nicely, but because of the stress he’s been under, it is best we find him a local home instead of sending him to an out of state partner. He’s been great in his foster home! He’s very loving and is grateful for his new life. Theo is about a year old.April 24, 2024, 2:28 pm

Story
Bird is a 3.5 year old indoor only cat. I got her from a local foster when she was 9 months old & she was the last of her litter to be adopted. She was very anxious and it took her months to warm up to me. She is not afraid to bite and scratch when she is afraid but once she warms up to you, she is kind. If you are not patient about bonding, she is not right for you. She is still anxious and jumpy and I believe that she needs a companion in the form of pet siblings to maker her quality of life better. I started her on Fresh Step litter & switched to Pretty Litter so she's been using Pretty Litter for the majority of her life at this point. Because I had a one bedroom apartment and there wasn't an abundant amount of space, I did let her sit on my couch and bed. I tried my very best to get her not to walk on the kitchen counters and for the most part, she is good but every now and then I'd catch her on there. I was told that she was microchipped but I never was able to figure it out.

Story
Found abounded May 2023 by my sister & she has 3 large dogs, we took her in but have realized we don't have the time or patience for her. Stormie has lots of energy & we just work too much & want to chill in our down time, but she needs a lot of play time. We just would like to find her a good home with someone that has time for her. She does bite when playing.

Story
UNEMPLOYED BARN CATS seeking suitable positions with available vermin. The shelter has barn cats ready for immediate employment. We hate seeing them languish in cages when they could be productive members of wildlife society! If you are interested email animalsvc@georgetown.org with the subject line of "interested in a barn cat". The application/screening process for potential adopters usually takes about 24 hours except when it falls over a weekend or holiday, and then it may take two or three days. We ask that potential adopters please be patient with us; we are only trying our best to ensure that the homeless pets in our care get the best possible home. All cats and dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered (as Texas law mandates). Our adoption fee is currently $70 for non-residents and $75 for residents*. The adoption fee includes: spaying/neutering vaccinations (appropriate to species and age) heartworm or feline leukemia test (appropriate to species and age) de-worming medication microchip (a tiny ID tag inserted under the skin, which allows your pet to be returned to you quickly) There is a $5 Pet License fee added to the adoption fee if the adopter lives inside the City Limits of Georgetown. Story
14 year old brown tabby that was adopted from the Williamson County Animal Shelter. She is an easy going cat who highly prefers a quiet and calm environment without any additional pets (dogs or cats) or young children. She is shy at first and usually takes her time to adjust to her new home, but will sit with you and lay in bed with you once she feels at home. She is a low key cat who doesn't need a lot of attention, but just a few pets and some time together in your presence to feel comfortable. Would also be best with owners who worked remotely.

Story
Mittens is a 2 year old female grey with a hint of orange short haired American tabby cat. She has always been an indoor cat and has lived with big dogs and children and has always had her trusted little brother Ash by her side to play with. She is very well socialized as a result. She loves to be near all the family, lounging in the sunlight, playing with crinkly toys and balls. She is a great cuddler, will jump up next to you on the couch, is happy to be brushed and have her nails clipped. She has not had any health issues.
