Story
Hello! My ex-wife and I adopted Brisket from Front Street Animal Shelter in Sacramento when she was under a year old in early 2020. The shelter believes she's a Dutch Shepherd mix. She's fully house-trained, has never had an accident, and doesn’t destroy anything except her toys. Brisket is generally good with people but can get anxious in loud environments (parties, live music, construction) and has nipped at guests before. She barks at outside noises or deliveries with a deep bark, but stops after a few seconds. At home, she’s okay with other dogs as long as they don’t bother her; if they do, she’ll growl or slap them. She also has some leash aggression when directly approaching other dogs during walks. Brisket is very loving but has always been a bit fearful, though she’s improved over time. She’d likely do best in a calm home with someone who enjoys a smart and loving dog.

!!URGENT: DEADLINE FOR ADOPTION OR RESCUE: WEDNESDAY 2/18 @ 5:00 PM!!Meet Brian, the brindle Dutch Shepherd who proves not all Brians are the same! Unlike the Simpsons version, this boy is all wiggles, grins, and delightful mischief. He’s the fun-loving, slightly naughty sidekick you didn’t know you needed.Brian is that perfect combo of handsome, intelligent, and loyal—a dog who learns quickly, bonds deeply, and keeps life interesting. He’s a medium-sized adventurer who prefers exploring the world over pursuing any musical ambitions. (Trust us… no rockstar career in this guy’s future. He’s way too busy having fun.)Whether he’s showing off his happy dance, trotting proudly at your side, or flashing you one of his trademark smiles, Brian brings a spark of joy everywhere he goes. He’s ready for hikes, yard play, and all the excitement you can throw his way.If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts brainy, bouncy, and bursting with charm, Brian is your guy. Come meet him and let the adventures begin!Brian has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. He`s a helper dog in playgroups and loves to play, so he`s brought lots of dogs out of their shell by convincing them to play with him. He`s also sharing his shelter suite with a friend he met at the shelter. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match! Check out his playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!

Story
The two photos show how her fur changes color in the Sun versus in the shade. Vivian is the biggest love bug you will ever meet, she adores affection and attention. She lived a very rough life on the streets and was written off by many other rescues as unfavorable because of her advanced abscesses and sexually transmitted cancer that she was facing. The recommendation was to euthanize her. Thankfully her advocate contacted us and with the help with our skilled veterinarian team we were able to save her! She is now ready to start the next chapter in her life cancer free!

Tiramisu is a dog who has become an integral part of my life. She is a lively and friendly companion, bringing joy and warmth to our household. Tiramisu is currently two years old and finds great delight in spending time in the living room, where she has ample space to run, play, and explore. She has been trained and is familiar with being sprayed for hygiene purposes. In search of a new home, Tramisu would greatly benefit from a larger living space, preferably with a yard where she can freely frolic and engage in outdoor activities. Tramisu has a sociable nature, thoroughly enjoying playtime and interactions with people. She possesses an abundance of energy, exudes affection, and eagerly embraces meeting new individuals.

To apply or learn more, go to: https://www.heartsforpawsrescue.com/219873/2025/11/11/bravo MEET MAN’S BEST FRIEND: BRAVO Currently being fostered in Davis, California Bravo is a social, people-loving boy who thrives on companionship. He’s generally well trained and knows sit, stay, fetch, and retrieve—and he’s an excellent ball player who happily retrieves and drops the ball like a pro. He’s very quiet (rarely barks), great in the car, and settles beautifully in the home. Bravo does well with easy-going dogs and truly shines when he’s with his person. Bravo was found walking the streets in full gear and is believed to have belonged to a homeless man. Because of this, he strongly gravitates toward his person and clearly loves being with someone full-time. He shows tremendous patience, calmness, and loyalty with his people. He would make an outstanding support or companion dog for an active veteran or anyone seeking a 24/7 best friend. Bravo could also thrive with an experienced German Shepherd family—but fair warning: he loves to jump up and is 80 pounds of fun, so a confident, dog-savvy home is important. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, adventure buddy, and constant companion—Bravo is your guy. $200 Adoption Donation includes: Neuter, Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella, and microchip Interested in adopting? 1. Story
Clay is a 4 year old neutered male livestock guardian/shepherd mix. He loves people more than anything. He is good with cats and small dogs. He is okay with some large dogs and not others. He has not been observed around young kids. Clay is medium energy. He loves to run and play as well as cuddle and nap. He is still building confidence in new situations and with new people. He is very shy in public. At home, he is confident and always wants to be by his person's side. He will need someone willing to go slowly when introducing him to new people, animals and experiences. Clay was found on the streets of Modesto as a stray. No one claimed him. He was set to be euthanized at the shelter due to overpopulation before we took him. At the shelter, he was terrified and kept to himself in the corner, shut down in fear. In his foster home, he is lively and social.
