Zeus is a true working breed; sharp, active, and always thinking. At about 55 pounds of solid muscle and curiosity, he's looking for a dog-savvy pet parent who understands what it means to guide a high-energy pup with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement. While he's still building confidence, once Zeus trusts you, he melts into your side like a marshmallow, offering those classic puppy eyes and soaking up every cuddle like it's his favorite reward (it might be!). Currently thriving in a caring foster home, Zeus is in full decompress mode, learning what safety feels like and discovering that life doesn't always have to be on high alert. On walks, he's still working through his leash reactivity, especially around other dogs, cats, or unfamiliar people. I found myself at the pound in Bakersfield, was pulled by a bogus rescue, passed from one person to another, and even spent some time living on a horse farm in a barn. Then, a kind woman in Ohio noticed me and reached out to a trainer with Forte. Thanks to her, I’m finally safe—and now I’m searching for my forever home. I’m a sweet and soulful girl who just wants to please. I’ll be your best travel buddy, walk buddy, and really—your wherever-you-go buddy. I love to chill in the sun, relax at home, and go on long walks by your side. I get excited to see other dogs, and I really enjoy making friends with them. Meet Foi — Your Sweet, Soft-Souled Survivor Foi’s journey hasn’t been easy. She was surrendered to the shelter in heartbreaking condition — left for dead, covered in painful, oozing, bloody skin lesions from a severe skin disease. Her infection ran deep, and it was clear she had endured far more than any dog ever should. But despite everything she had been through, Foi’s gentle spirit never faded. We got her into dermatology right away, and thanks to proper care, love, and time, she is healing so beautifully. She will be on lifelong skin medication, but she has truly come out of her shell — and she is the best girl. Now, Foi is ready for the safe, loving home she’s always deserved. This soft, observant sweetheart is a certified couch potato and a loyal little “watcher.” She loves being part of the home’s quiet rhythm — lounging nearby, taking in her surroundings, and greeting you joyfully the moment you walk through the door. She settles easily for naps and bedtime, enjoys being part of the pack, and still loves her personal space. Gentle forehead pets, tasty treats, and interacting through her toys are her love languages. She does have a fear of heights, so keeping all four paws safely on the ground is her preference. If you’re looking for a mellow, affectionate, resilient companion who just wants to be near you and feel safe, Foi might be your perfect match.
