Story
Dustin is a ten-month-old Dutch Shepherd mix with the sweetest heart. This neutered boy may be timid at first, but when he has another dog by his side, his playful, loving personality shines through. He looks to other dogs for guidance and confidence, and truly thrives in a home where he has a furry friend to show him the ropes. Once he feels safe, Dustin blossoms into a cuddle bug who loves nothing more than snuggling up with his favorite people. He’s crate trained, rides beautifully in the car, and is the perfect passenger for road trips or everyday adventures. Since he’s still young, he’s eager to learn and grow with gentle guidance. Dustin is available for adoption in the Greater Los Angeles area, and transport may be an option for the right match. If you already have a dog and are looking for a gentle, loving pup to join your pack, Dustin may be the perfect fit. Story
Meet Zeus! A determined three-year-old Dutch Shepherd currently in Roseville, CA, whose energy and intelligence are matched only by the depth of his soulful eyes and his richly brindled black and brown coat. Zeus is a true working breed; sharp, active, and always thinking. At about 55 pounds of solid muscle and curiosity, he's looking for a dog-savvy pet parent who understands what it means to guide a high-energy pup with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement. While he's still building confidence, once Zeus trusts you, he melts into your side like a marshmallow, offering those classic puppy eyes and soaking up every cuddle like it's his favorite reward (it might be!). Currently thriving in a caring foster home, Zeus is in full decompress mode, learning what safety feels like and discovering that life doesn't always have to be on high alert. On walks, he's still working through his leash reactivity, especially around other dogs, cats, or unfamiliar people. With consistency, trust-building, and brain games to keep his clever mind busy, he's going to be an amazing companion for someone ready to invest in his continued growth. Zeus knows "sit," is house-trained, crate-trained, and neutered. He prefers a peaceful environment with no children, and while he's selective with other animals, he could be compatible with the right dog or cat buddy with slow introductions and supervision. A securely fenced yard is a must. He needs room to run, sniff, and explore safely. Like many intelligent dogs, Zeus can be a little stubborn, and he's shown some resource guarding around his crate, so he’ll thrive with a caregiver who’s committed to using positive reinforcement and perhaps even partnering with a trainer. In return, you’ll get a deeply loyal, goofy, gentle soul who just needs time to bloom. Zeus is more than a handsome face, he’s a story in the making, a heart ready to connect, and a spirit waiting to run free with his person by his side. Could you be the one to help him write his next chapter? Ready to meet Zeus and see if your heart beats the same rhythm as his? If you’re interested in providing Zeus with a loving home, please email meetme@joyfulpets.com for more information about adopting him! Please note that Zeus is currently in foster care through one of our trusted rescue partners and will remain with his foster family until the right match is found. Because rescue-partner pets are managed directly by their respective organizations, their adoption process, requirements, and fees may differ from Joyful Pets’ direct rehoming program. Our team will be happy to connect you with the rescue and help guide you through their process to ensure everything goes smoothly. Content Notice: This pet is represented by Joyful Pets. Story
Meet Lottie, a stunning, resilient Malinois looking for her forever Home! Lottie is a positively breathtaking 1-year-old purebred Malinois with a heart as big as her spirit. Born blind, she may not see the world like other dogs, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit! Lottie has a zest for life, loves to explore, and even surprises everyone with her absolute love for swimming—she confidently gets in and out of the pool once she knows the steps! Originally found as a stray, Lottie was given a second chance thanks to a Good Samaritan and the wonderful team at German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County. She thrives in the company of other dogs, happily following a confident leader, and she’ll do best in a home with a friendly, well-balanced canine companion to help guide her. Like any young Malinois, Lottie has plenty of energy and loves to play—sometimes a little too much for small dogs, so she’d do best in a home with medium to large dog companions. While she may startle easily until she learns the routine, she’s incredibly smart, eager to adapt, and housebroken once she knows the way out. Lottie deserves more than life in a rescue kennel—she needs a loving, patient home where she can continue to blossom. If you have a big heart, an active lifestyle, and a welcoming dog to show her the way, Lottie just might be your perfect match. Are you the one to give this incredible girl the forever home she deserves? Reach out today and make Lottie’s dream of family life come true! She’s currently available for adoption in the Greater Los Angeles area. Please visit our website to complete an adoption application: https://jasonheigl.foundation/adopt/dog/lottie

Story
Zena is a 2-year-old German Shepherd mix with a long, fluffy, beautiful coat. She’s cute, fun, and loves to splash and play in water. Heartbreakingly, Zena was surrendered by her owner to a crowded shelter, knowing she faced an almost certain chance of being euthanized simply because the family had a baby. But the Heigl Foundation and rescue partner Melita’s Dream Animal Rescue stepped in to give her the chance she deserves. Zena will do best as the only dog in an adult-only home where she can soak up all the love and attention. She’s ready to start her new life with a family who will cherish her for the wonderful companion she is. Zena is available for adoption in the Greater Los Angeles area.
