Story

We adopted Frankie on 11/21. She had a beautiful temperament even in the shelter, taking treats gently and had a great meet and greet with our older Shepherd border collie mix. Frankie is a 10 month old Malinois. She has quickly learned several commands. She’s great on a leash, great with other dogs, large and small. Great with strangers, men, women and not reactive to small children when we walk. You can pet her and cuddle her when she is eating, she is not aggressive or guarding. She is calm when crated. She is a loving, affectionate addition to our family of 4. Our reason for rehoming her is that we don’t feel she is a good fit for a home with cats. That being said she is a puppy so we do not know for sure, but she wants to chase cats and squirrels on our walks. She has chased our cat the few times that they were not kept separated. When that happened she was very difficult to redirect. She is a special, beautiful dog.

Bucky came from the Long Beach Animal Shelter. He’s a sweet 9 month old Shepherd Mix. Very cuddly and playful. He does have a high energy drive. He is fixed. I have his records and even a free exam voucher. I have a two bedroom apartment that he does well in. I do have two cats and he hasn’t gone after them. He seems more scared of them if anything. I can provide food, leash, harness.

Adoption fees vary based on age, breed, size and the costs incurred on the dog's behalf by us i.e. medical, behavioral training, etc. Puppies are not house-trained although they may have begun crate-training and/or potty pad training in their foster home, depending on their age. House-training is a process that will need to be completed by their adopter. Puppies, if left unsupervised and not redirected will develop negative behaviors such as using the restroom in the wrong place, chewing, barking, whining, etc. Please be sure to do research on raising a puppy and be sure that you are prepared to do so.
