Meet Winnie, an adorable brindle and black cutie! She’s full of personality and all about playtime—her favorite thing in the world is having a furry friend to romp around with. She absolutely adores kids and loves being part of the gang. When she’s not busy playing, she’s a total cuddle bug. If given the choice, she’d happily spend the whole day snuggled up with her person. She’s both house trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to the right home. Toys are her love language—especially squeaky ones! Be ready to stock up, because she’ll happily squeak them all day long, and it brings her so much joy. She already knows basic commands like sit, down, no, and off, and she walks nicely on a leash. She does bark to alert you when something seems out of the ordinary, so she would do best in a home (no apartments or townhomes) with a good-sized yard where she can run and get her wiggles out. This sweet, playful girl is looking for a loving home that will embrace her energy, her cuddles, and her big joyful personality. Hi, I'm JoJo! I'm a 2 year old Dutch Shepherd mix. I'm as loveable as can be and am such a good boy! I get along great with other dogs, walk okay on a leash, and am even potty-trained. I need a home without cats though as I like to chase them. I'm in a foster home and patiently waiting for my chance at a forever home. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! I adopted this little guy in LA last year. He's a really sweet dog. At first he was wild and injured my shoulder. After that I went through training with him and he cleared up a ton! Its just that now after I moved here for work, he developed this separation anxiety I can't really take care of due to my work commitments and other stuff like going to the gym. Pair that with him living in a cramped apartment - this poor little guy deserves better than what I can provide. He is super cuddly and curious. Anytime he hears someone new on a call he joins and watches them. He'd always be with me in the kitchen when I'd cook and give me puppy-eyes for a sample. He doesn't pull when I walk him. He loves to cuddle. He has never had a history of being aggressive towards other dogs. He knows the commands: sit, lay down, poop (yes he poops on command) and reluctantly does 'go' when you point somewhere. He comes with a month of food, treats, toys, & a crate. He deserves a good life :(
