I came from an overcrowded shelter in Alabama, and I've brought my Southern charm with me. I love everyone I meet, especially my fellow canine friends. I'm always up for a good game of fetch or a romp in the park. At my young age, I am in my prime for training and socialization. I will make a loyal companion, a playmate, and most importantly, a best friend for an active home. I'm ready to bring joy and love to my forever home. Could that be with you? Submit an application today! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.           Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit  http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/  or email our Foster Coordinator at  foster@k-9lifesavers.orgSponsor Me!    Make a  tax-deductible donation  today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/  . Story
Annie is a gorgeous 3-year-old female Dutch Shepherd mix. She is a very happy, sensitive, smart, and energetic dog. Annie is house trained. She knows the commands sir, lay down and stay. She walks fairly well on leash, she may pull a bit if there is a squirrel to investigate. She usually enjoys a good run at the dog park then she sleeps for the rest of the day. Annie is great with the 1, 2, and 5-year-old children she loves with. She is dog-selective but can be great with other dogs who are more submissive. Annie does have a high prey drive, so she shouldn't be with cars or small dogs. Annie is a very sweet dog who loves to cuddle and loves belly rubs. She does not bark unless she hears something suspicious outside. Annie does need a good fenced in yard or she will try to get out and find neighborhood buddies to play with. Annie would make a really wonderful companion and hiking dog. She weighs 75 pounds and is full grown. She is microchipped. Meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applicants. Adoption fee is waved but the application process is not. We believe you can always teach an ‘old’ dog new tricks so we highly recommend continued obedience training for this smart pup; it stimulates the dog's mind and establishes a good dog/adopter relationship. This pup, like all pups should be on heartworm preventative, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: https://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoption-request-form/ and return it per instructions. Story
Meet Rico, an energetic Dutch Shepherd aged 10-12 months, rescued from an abuse/neglect situation by Animal Control. Rico has overcome his past experiences and embraces each day as a new opportunity. This spirited boy is not shy; he exudes playfulness, fun, and love. All Rico needs is the right home with compassionate individuals who can provide training, guidance, and acceptance for his unique personality. Rico's journey to rescue began when time was running out for him in a high-kill shelter. Thankfully, he was transferred to our rescue, offering him a chance at a fresh start and the possibility of finding his forever home. This stunning boy is searching for a loving family to call his "Furever" home. Rest assured, Rico is fully vetted, microchipped, heartworm negative, dewormed, and is scheduled to be neutered in February (costs covered by the rescue). Now, all Rico needs is an active family that will welcome him as a cherished member of their household. If Rico has captured your heart and you're interested in meeting him, or if you're considering fostering, adopting, or sponsoring this handsome boy, please visit our website at https://serendipityanimalrescue.org for the application or more information.

Story
Bentley is 2 years old and is a sweet German Shepherd. He has experience with other pets (dogs and cats), well behaved, trained in German, and is always down to have fun outside. He’s leashed trained, crate trained, and E collar trained. I’m looking for someone that’s able to give him more time than I can. He comes with a lease, service dog vest, pinch collar, E collar, canopy bed, and 1 MONTH OF FOOD. He’s also experienced with eating 100% raw food, but currently he’s eating UnKibble

Story
Torvi was sold to me in 2020 as an executive protection dog/service dog when she was 4 years old by a business named CQB K9. The owner of the business passed away last year and it’s now dissolved. Torvi has never been able to go out in public: she’s not good on a leash, tries to attack smaller animals and won’t listen to commands in a public space. I’m trying to rehome her so I can make room for a well-trained service dog through a reputable agency or veterans charity. Torvi is good with children, larger animals and the cat we live with. She obeys commands at home and would make a great guard dog.
