Story
Hi! My name is Quinn and I am available for adoption!I am a large breed dog and I weigh about 76 lbs.I am a friendly, energetic young man looking for an active family. I will do best in a home if I have things to do, and things to keep my mind busy. I need a bit of structure and patience to really become the best dog I can be. However, I am a loveable guy overall. I am VERY eager to please, and I walk very well on leash. I have shown positive interest in other dogs here at the shelter, but it is always best practice to take introductions slowly when meeting new dogs.I am a member of RASKC`s playgroup pals! Ask staff if you would like to know which dogs I have met and how I interact with other dogs! You can visit me at the Pet Adoption Center on weekdays from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Pet Adoption Center is located at 21615 64th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032.Come and visit me today, I`d love to go home with you!

Story
HI -I'M NOMI! I'm a 5-year-old beautiful Dutch Shepherd-Pit mix in need of a foster or forever home. My name means "beautiful" and "delightful" and it is so fitting, because I have a gorgeous brindle coat and a sweet face. I was rescued from a California shelter, and now have been waiting patiently for someone to notice me! I am gentle with people, and am friendly with most dogs, though I can get jealous at times. I would probably thrive as an only dog where I could get all of the attention, or hang out with a submissive male. I weigh 68 pounds. I would love a new home! Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Meet Juno! Juno is a 5-year-old, 60 lb Shepherd mix who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter. With his stunning brindle coat and soulful eyes, Juno may look a little intimidating at first glance ~ but he’s truly a sweet, loving, and loyal boy once you get to know him! Juno bonds deeply with his people and loves being out and about with his handler. He would make an excellent adventure companion for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. He’s affectionate, eager to be close to his person, and may even jump up for an enthusiastic “hug” when he’s excited to see you. Once Juno chooses his person, he’s all in. He’s a smart, eager-to-please dog who thrives with structure and consistency. Juno already knows sit, down, and his adorable “happy spin” at mealtime, and he would do great in a home that wants to continue working on training while providing both mental and physical outlets. Juno walks well on leash and enjoys getting out for walks and exploring. He would do best in a standalone home with a fully fenced yard (no apartments or condos) where he has space to decompress and move freely. When it comes to other dogs, Juno can do well with canine companions, especially with slow, thoughtful introductions. He has made dog friends and enjoys playing, particularly with larger female dogs, which tend to be his favorite match. He could also be happy as an only dog. An adult-only home or a home without young children (and no cats) is recommended, as Juno is strong, enthusiastic, and still working on some manners. Juno has so much love and loyalty to give ~ he’s just waiting for the right person or family to see what an incredible dog he truly is! Juno is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

Story
She was found in the middle of nowhere, in the bones, and with too much fear, she tried to bite us until she could understand that we were not going to hurt her, we just wanted to help her, and she got on her belly, letting me know that she trusted me. She is a really sweet, intelligent, loving dog, she has too much love to give, and she needs to receive even more. She is a very loyal dog, and tends to dance with her front paws when she gets excited. She gets excited when she goes for a walk, she likes to see new places and sometimes she is a little shy at first with strangers but she understands quickly when people don't want to hurt her. On the contrary when she knows that people are a threat to her or to you, she is very protective. She gets along well with very few male dogs, she is dominant and does not usually play with other dogs, but she gets along very well with adults and children, she would be ideal for a family with small children, she knows how to measure her strength, and she is not at all rude with babies. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Story
Raven is my name and kind of like a raven, I am a 'loner'... except for the puppies i had when I arrived at the rescue... I was saved by a trapper on the streets, they weren't even there to save ME that day, but they did!!! I am obviously a beautiful girl, big and solid as well as black and brindly. I am a loving girl, in my own way... i lived on the streets for who knows how long and I honestly am not a cuddly girl or even a sit by your feet dog, YET... I have all kinds of love to give, you can see in my eyes that I have always dreamed of someone with the patience to love me for who I am and who I can be!! I am great on a leash and do love walking around and exploring. I am good with other dogs and likely would do best with another dog who is calm and confident with his/her family. I am so so ready for you, I have the shepherd double coat so I will shed in your house, must have a great vacuum cleaner and tolerance of hair :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Jack is a male Shepherd mix, about 4 yrs old (est DOB 7/23/2021). He weighs 45#. He is a good dog... no aggression but also no training. He has been getting some leash training of which he's doing very well. JACK needs to have a companion to take him everywhere, go on hikes, and maybe even swimming. He loves people and is great with other dogs. He does need daily exercise but I’m sure he will calm down after he knows he’s in a forever home and gets his love and exercise every day. He deserves a second chance…he needs someone who believes in him! Check our You Tube Video: https://youtu.be/zawD9-77Oxs This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. If you are not in the position to afford a puppy/dog but still want to be an important factor in dog rescue, we recommend fostering. Fostering ensures you incur no vet bills and no boarding fees while saving a life and enjoying the love of a canine companion. We are always in need of good fosters. You can sign up to foster at this link: https://shaynesrescue.com/foster-application/ This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose. Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Story
Robin is happy girl who loves to play but likes her down time as well. She can be very timid when she first meets people but craves attention. Her age is estimated to be 3 years old and she weighs approximately 45-50lbs. In April, Robin was found dumped in a remote park, along with another German Shepherd mix, Batman. She has been in a foster home since then that has helped to build her confidence and trust in people. Robin would love to have another dog to play with, and her ideal family member would be Batman, who is also available for adoption. While they can be adopted separately, they’d be happy to be back together. Robin loves to play ball and will go as long as you’re willing to throw it. She loves other toys as well and will entertain herself. Her home must have a very secure, fenced yard as she is a run risk. She can never be taken off leash outside of a contained yard and we strongly recommend that she wear her harness and be double clipped to her harness and collar on walks. Robin has a strong prey drive and will take care of any moles in your yard but has done well with cats indoors. We aren't sure if a cat was outdoors and ran if her prey drive would kick in, so we suggest a home with no cats or indoor only cats. We also recommend a slow introduction with the cats having a place they can escape to while they adjust to life together. Kids in the home must be dog savvy, and aware enough to know that they can’t forget to close the door.

Story
Batman is a gorgeous, happy boy who is energetic and looking for a home with a strong leader who is active and will keep him busy and engaged. His age is estimated to be 2-3 years old and he’s approximately 80-90lbs. In April, Batman was found dumped in a remote park in Snoqualmie, along with another German Shepherd mix, Robin. Batman wasn’t neutered when he was first found and had some attitude, wanting to do things on his own terms. He has since been neutered and more importantly, he’s spent quite a bit of time at board and train. He is now a total love bug but will need an owner with power breed experience that can lead him instead of letting him lead them. Batman loves the ladies, and would do well living with a female dog that he could play with. Robin, who he adores, is also available for adoption and while they can be adopted separately, they’d be happy to be back together. Batman is mostly indifferent with male dogs as long as they are not intact. He may be able to live with a male dog, but he’ll need to be tested with any dogs already in the family. With a lot of energy to burn, he’d love to be a running buddy or hiking buddy, NEVER off leash, or have a huge, fenced yard where he can play fetch with his favorite toys. He does know how to settle down and just chill too but understand, he will need his exercise or he will likely get up to no good. Batman is currently in a home with younger children and has been great with them, but they are also very dog savvy, so we recommend older children but are happy to discuss on a case by case basis. We have not yet evaluated Batman with cats other than at a distance, but he hasn’t shown any interest so far.
