WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org 🌋🐾 Meet Pacaya — Adventure Enthusiast, Water Lover & Certified Good Girl 🐾🌋 Hi! I’m Pacaya, an athletic, happy, and downright charismatic girl with a heart full of joy and paws made for exploring. I’m friendly, engaging and I has got a gorgeous coat that goes from a warm tan to a rich red when the sun hits me just right. I'm always ready for the next adventure — especially if it involves hiking, swimming and exploring(yes, I take the scenic route whenever possible). If you love the outdoors, we’re already best friends. Trails? I’m in. Lakes? I’m already splashing. Hills? I’ll meet you at the top, tail wagging proudly. I thrive with an active person or family who enjoys getting out and doing things — I make an excellent hiking buddy, jogging partner, or “let’s-see-what’s-over-there” companion. But don’t let my athletic side fool you — once the adventure is done, I’m all about the wind-down life. Belly rubs, ear scratches, lounging with my people and giving the best hugs are absolute perfection. I’m not wild or frantic — just a well-balanced girl who knows when to go full throttle and when to relax like a pro. 🐾 Pacaya at a Glance: ✔️ ~2 years old, ~40 lbs of happy athletic energy ✔️ Friendly, confident, and full of personality ✔️ Loves hiking, swimming, and climbing ✔️ Great with other dogs ✔️ House trained and well-mannered ✔️ Smart, attentive, and eager to engage with her people A quick note from management: while I adore dogs and humans, cats and chickens are not on my guest list. (Nothing personal — just best to admire them from afar.) I bring joy into every space I enter, communicate with my bright eyes and expressive personality, and truly enjoy being part of a family. I pay attention, listen well, and love being involved in whatever my humans are doing — especially if it ends with a nap under the fan. If you’re searching for an active, loving, adventurous companion who’s equal parts fun and affectionate, I might just be your perfect match. 🌟 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Pacaya lead you into your next great adventure! 🐾💛

Story
Meet Buggie, a Fiest born approx 6/7/23. Buggie is a silly, playful, cuddle buddy that would love to follow you around the house. Her favorite place to be is on the couch. She likes other dogs and does great with cats. She has a moderate energy level, so a few quick zoomies to get the energy out, and then she is happy to lounge around the house, look out the window, or play with her toys. She is kennel-trained and is very excited about learning and practicing commands. She came into rescue very shutdown and fearful and has made great progress in learning to trust people again. She is still shy when meeting new people or visiting new places, but once she knows you, you will be her favorite person! Her confidence is growing everyday and she is well on her way to becoming her best, sassy self. Due to being on the shy side, her ideal home would have older children or adults only. She'd do great in an apartment or in a home with a yard. She goes outside to do her business on a routine schedule, but she prefers to be inside the house, so someone who likes to spend time at home would be her ideal match. She'll thrive in a quiet home that provides the gentle patience and structure she needs to grow into the perfect best friend. If you're looking for a sweet, cuddly, moderate energy, medium size dog, then Buggie is the little girl for you!        Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $495.00Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 31, 2026, 2:22 pm

Hi, my name is Prance and I am from Georgia! From his foster: Prance is a sweet, playful boy who loves toys and likes to cuddle up in his bed! He does well with other dogs—he’s especially fond of our resident dog. He is a little timid at first but warms up quickly and has started to find his own personality! He has been doing really well with potty training. He sleeps well in his kennel and absolutely loves playing outside when the weather isn’t super cold. Prance is great with kids and loves our 1 year old son! He would do great with a home that has a yard to play in. He is ready to bring joy, snuggles, and plenty of tail wags to his forever home!

Hi, my name is Vega and I am from Oklahoma. From her foster: Vega is a sweet soul- and she will attach herself to you. She follows me around the whole house and will sit in my lap when I sit. Her favorite is to nap in my armpit- she is a snuggly girl who wants to be close. She is finding her voice and will let you know if you leave her behind. Vega is sporty and has already learned how to go up and down stairs. She is working on potty training and is good at sitting. She is sweet with my 4 year old son and gets along with my two 12lb and smaller chihuahua mixes. She will go in her crate, but she will let you know she would rather be in your arms.

Hi, my name is Mylee and I am from Oklahoma! From her foster: Such a wonderful puppy! So sweet and she's very smart - she picks up tricks and adjusts behavior so quickly as she learns. She knows sit, down, and shake! Loves to play with my resident dog and cat and responds to their body language and cues appropriately, also plays well independently when on her own. A total love bug who likes to be held and snuggled. Typical puppy manners still in progress; mouthiness when excited, some separation anxiety when left alone in her crate, and potty training. All improving day by day and I have no doubts she'll keep learning quickly!

Story
Hi, my name is Cyrus and I am from Oklahoma! From his foster: Meet Cyrus, a professional Velcro-dog in training who believes personal space is just a myth! This sweet boy is looking for a home where "cuddling" is a full-time requirement. The Ultimate Sidekick: If you’re moving, he’s moving. He wants to be wherever the people are. Social Expert: He’s mastered the art of living with a "crabby" canine roommate, knowing exactly when to give her space and when to bring the fun. Bouncy Enthusiast: He doesn't just fetch tennis balls; he literally boings after them. A+ Student: While he has those typical puppy urges, he redirects like a pro and is a superstar with potty training on a schedule. Crate & Chill: He might give you a few minutes of "opinionated" feedback when entering his crate, but he settles quickly and sleeps like a dream all night. Cyrus is ready to bring his signature bounce and world-class snuggles to your sofa!

These pups are in Hudson, Wisconsin too!

History: We welcomed a group recently from a partnering organization of ours, Villalobos Animal Rescue. A Note from the Foster: Giant is no giant but his heart is! He is a really sweet and loving little fella who arrived to rescue very afraid and unsocialized. It took him a good couple of days to settle in before he started trusting us and he has been wonderful. He has been fine with women and men as well as small children. He is a playful young boy but has been respectful playing with people. He is dog-friendly with dogs of all sizes and has show no interest in cats. He has never had an accident in the home or his crate and is overall a quieter chihuahua mix. He sleeps through the night and has been a really A+ boy here at our home. He will make a great addition to a lucky family looking for a fun cuddly dog!

Story
History: Our Out of the Cold Rescue Effort was a great success in welcoming over 180+ animals to rescue from rural areas in North Dakota before the cold set in. These animals are all so deserving and thankful to get a second chance in finding a forever home of their own! Ginger came into rescue already carrying a precious surprise — she arrived pregnant and soon gave birth to three beautiful puppies while in foster care. From the very beginning, she has been an exceptionally devoted, gentle, and attentive mama, watching over her babies with care and love. A Note from the Foster: 🐻✨ Meet Ginger ✨🐻 Loving Mama • Brave Survivor • Total Sweetheart When her puppies were just shy of three weeks old, Ginger experienced a tragic accident and was hit by a car. She sustained a broken leg, several lacerations, and significant road rash. Despite everything she has been through, Ginger has handled her recovery with remarkable grace. Over the past month, she has been doted on in foster care and has shown just how trusting and resilient she truly is. Her open wounds and road rash are healing beautifully, and her leg continues to heal with weekly cast changes under close veterinary supervision. What stands out most about Ginger is her heart. She is an incredibly affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with her people. She loves to snuggle, wants to be close to her humans, and genuinely aims to please. Everyone who has cared for Ginger has been deeply impressed by her sweetness and her calm, cooperative nature, even during medical care. She seems to understand that the humans around her are helping her, and she has been wonderfully participatory throughout her recovery. Ginger is estimated to be around 18 months old and weighs approximately 18 pounds. Her foster family believes she may be a corgi and terrier mix. She has the short legs and sturdy build of a corgi, paired with the personality and instincts of a terrier. While she is small, her bark sounds like it belongs to a much bigger dog. It is confident and expressive rather than yappy. Ginger does very well with other dogs in the home and enjoys playful, goofy moments once she’s comfortable. She has been doing great with house training, when taken out consistently, she does her business right away and doesn’t need much encouragement. Like many young dogs, Ginger can get excited by the world around her. She is particularly enthusiastic about squirrels, passing dogs, and new people, and may bark when she first encounters something unfamiliar. With reassurance and guidance from her people, she settles and continues to show her loving, people-focused nature. This excitement comes from curiosity and engagement, not fear, and is something she will continue to improve with time, routine, and positive reinforcement. Ginger will be spayed on February 13th and is available as a foster-to-adopt opportunity. Coco’s will continue to monitor her healing, and she can officially be adopted once she receives a clean bill of health. Ginger is truly special. She is a brave survivor, a loving mama, and a dog who is ready to pour her heart into a family of her own. If you’re looking for a deeply affectionate companion who has already shown incredible strength and trust in humans, Ginger may be the perfect match.

Story
History: We welcomed a group recently from a partnering organization of ours, Villalobos Animal Rescue. A litter of 4 chihuahua/terrier mixes needed help specifically and arrived to rescue from this transport. They are under socialized and working hard on their trust and confidence in foster care. They seem to prefer women and men right now are scary so a patient and committed family will be important for each of them to work through this! Packer is undergoing heartworm treatment and is available as a foster to adopt through her treatment and recovery. A Note from the Foster: Packer (also called Penny) is a playful, energetic dog who loves people, other dogs, and even cats. She’s social, affectionate, and happiest when she’s included in whatever is going on around her. She’s a smart girl who enjoys food puzzles and enrichment activities. Packer is crate trained and does well in her kennel, though she prefers to be out with her people. She’s currently working on potty training and continuing to build good habits with consistency and routine. Packer is still young and learning appropriate boundaries, especially with older dogs, but she responds well to guidance. She enjoys toys, especially stuffed ones, and would do best in a home that can provide regular activity, playtime, and structure. If you’re looking for a friendly, active companion who enjoys engagement and interaction, Packer could be a great fit.
