Hi, my name is Vega and I am from Oklahoma. From her foster: Vega is a sweet soul- and she will attach herself to you. She follows me around the whole house and will sit in my lap when I sit. Her favorite is to nap in my armpit- she is a snuggly girl who wants to be close. She is finding her voice and will let you know if you leave her behind. Vega is sporty and has already learned how to go up and down stairs. She is working on potty training and is good at sitting. She is sweet with my 4 year old son and gets along with my two 12lb and smaller chihuahua mixes. She will go in her crate, but she will let you know she would rather be in your arms.

Hi, my name is Prance and I am from Georgia! From his foster: Meet Prance! Prance is a sweet, playful boy who loves toys and likes to cuddle up in his bed! He does well with other dogs—he’s especially fond of our resident dog. He is a little timid at first but warms up quickly! He has been doing really well with potty training. He loves his kennel as a safe place and absolutely loves playing outside. Prance would do great with a home that has a yard to play in. She is doing well with potty training- holding her pee in her crate and using the puppy pads as it’s still a bit chilly to go outside. She has learned how to go up stairs but not down yet. Story
Meet Zoe, a Chihuahua born approx 3/7/2020. Zoe is a sweet girl who has had a lot of transitions in her life. She can be a little slow to warm up, but once she does, she is very cuddly. She has seemed to attach strongly to the mom of the house and does get anxious when she leaves, but eventually settles down. She’s been alone up to 6 hours, has been free floating around the house, and has not had any accidents or destroyed anything during that time. Zoe is house-trained, and scratches at the door when she needs to be let out. She is not kennel trained. She has been great with our 3.5 year old daughter. Initially she was respectful and a little afraid of our cat, but she has had a few instances of lashing out toward the cat, She has been great with our small dog, and has met other big dogs on leash and has reacted positively. She loves walks, and while she pulls sometimes, she is easily redirected. Zoe is a medium energy level. She loves running off-leash on our acreage, but can also curl up on the couch and be content. In the car Zoe wants to ride on your lap, but also does fine in the kennel during rides. Zoe is treat motivated, playful, and sweet and will make a great family dog for a very lucky family.    Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Hi, I’m Maggie. Im a 2 year old chihuahua mix! I came to mn from Mexico, where i was found living in a hole inside a rock mountain. When I got to mn my foster mom realized I was limping quite a bit. It then was determined by our vets that I needed a double back knee surgery as I had luxating patella in both my back knees. Don’t worry, my foster momma did all the hard work and I feel so much better now and am like a brand new dog!  Now for the fun part! I am such a joy to have around. At first I am not trusting of people but once I learn you wanna be my friend we can be best friends. I am goofy and will play with other dogs big or small but it may take me a few days to warm up to them. When I am in cuddle mode, I don’t like to share my space with other animals and may snap at them if they disturb my sleep. I love cuddles, I am the most cuddly girl ever especially with this thing called winter. I would rather curl up and cuddle with you under a blanket all day long. I am kennel trained and do really enjoy hanging in my kennel. I am for the most part potty trained, occasionally I have accidents here and there but 98% of the time I go outside. I sleep in bed curled up next to my foster momma all night long. As for cats they are fine, if they are more active cats I may try to play with them or chase them but I leave the more laid back cats alone. I will bark at new people coming into the house but will calm down and as long as they leave me alone they can stay. If they are too intrusive or in my face too much at our initial meeting I may growl. I never snap or bite though. I just need some extra time to learn new people are okay!  Anyways do you think you could be my forever home??  Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Lourdes is a Chihuahua born around 11/8/24 with a big personality packed into a sturdy little body. She’s the perfect mix of happy, curious, playful, and cuddly, with just a touch of puppy mischief to keep life fun. This sweet girl is high-energy and full of joy, she absolutely loves to play! She became instant best friends with another foster dog and spends her days wrestling, cuddling, and snoozing like a sibling pair. While she does well with other dogs, Lourdes doesn’t require a canine companion as long as her humans are ready to play and engage with her. Lourdes is alert but not yappy. She may bark at unfamiliar people or outside noises, but barking is the only “guard dog” behavior she shows. She’s friendly, confident, and comfortable being handled, and she warmed up to her foster home right away. When playtime winds down, Lourdes turns into a total cuddlebug. She loves to snuggle, sleeps in bed with her foster, and has a gentle, sweet side that balances her energetic moments. Despite her small size, she’s robust and sturdy, not a fragile, delicate toy breed. She does great in the car, on a leash, and in a fenced yard. While she won’t bolt, she is curious and may wander if not supervised, so leash time is important. She hasn’t met children yet, but based on her personality and love of energy, she would likely do very well with them. Lourdes is still very much a puppy, having been found as a stray, so she’s continuing to work on potty training and appropriate chewing. She uses puppy pads reliably if she can’t make it outside in time and is making steady progress. She isn’t destructive, her occasional chewing is limited to things like shoes or paper and is easily managed with supervision and puppy-proofing. She can be crated when her people are away and will benefit from some crate training when her humans are home. Best of all, she is smart, treat-motivated, and very trainable. With consistency and love, she’ll continue to blossom into an amazing companion. Having Lourdes around is like having a built-in mood booster, she brings energy, laughter, affection, and endless cuddles wherever she goes. If your home could use a little extra pep, warmth, and puppy love, Lourdes may be the perfect match for you.
