I'm always ready for the next adventure — especially if it involves hiking, swimming and exploring(yes, I take the scenic route whenever possible). Her favorite is to nap in my armpit- she is a snuggly girl who wants to be close. She is finding her voice and will let you know if you leave her behind. Meet Buggie, a Fiest born approx 6/7/23. Buggie is a silly, playful, cuddle buddy that would love to follow you around the house. Her favorite place to be is on the couch. She likes other dogs and does great with cats. She has a moderate energy level, so a few quick zoomies to get the energy out, and then she is happy to lounge around the house, look out the window, or play with her toys. She is kennel-trained and is very excited about learning and practicing commands. She came into rescue very shutdown and fearful and has made great progress in learning to trust people again. She is still shy when meeting new people or visiting new places, but once she knows you, you will be her favorite person! Her confidence is growing everyday and she is well on her way to becoming her best, sassy self. Due to being on the shy side, her ideal home would have older children or adults only. She'd do great in an apartment or in a home with a yard. She goes outside to do her business on a routine schedule, but she prefers to be inside the house, so someone who likes to spend time at home would be her ideal match. She'll thrive in a quiet home that provides the gentle patience and structure she needs to grow into the perfect best friend. At just 3 years old and 8 pounds, Gordo is living proof that the very best things come in the tiniest, snuggliest packages. This sweet Chihuahua mix is equal parts lap warmer, cuddle champion, and loyal sidekick. He adores being close to his person and will happily follow you from room to room like a tiny, devoted shadow. If you’ve ever wanted a dog who truly wants to be with you — not just near you — Gordo is your guy. He does have a soft spot for the ladies (Gentlemen, don’t worry—he’ll accept you too, but he’s a mama’s boy at heart!) and would thrive in a calm, quiet home.
