Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. How can you resist this face?  Chance came to the rescue as a puppy with parvo.  He has never had a real home.  Chance is a fun boy with a lot of energy. He can be very timid around new people but given a chance he will gain more confidence.  He enjoys playing with toys and other dogs in our play yard. He would benefit from having a home with a yard where he can play and explore. He wouldn't be apartment appropriate. Chance will do best in a home that has the time and patience to allow him to gain the confidence he needs to be the best dog companion ever. If you think you are his perfect people, please complete a companion dog application found on our website www.adoggie4you.org. Story
Hi, my name is Sunny. If you are looking for a sweet, calm and laid-back dog, I’m the one for you. I’m a beautiful 12 yr old golden lab mix, around 40 lbs. I have so much love to give … will you be my person? Just a slow walk, some snacks (ok lots of snacks) and a few belly rubs and bum scratches, and I’m as happy as can be. I love other dogs and people but I would prefer a home without really small children – I’d like to enjoy my golden years laying around and taking it easy. Can you find room in your home (and your heart) for a beautiful old boy? All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kenneled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel.

I am young and fun so I have lots of energy and am super excited to learn obedience training with my hoomans. I love other dogs, and all the people and I even like cats! I'm basically packed and ready to start my new life with my new family. I’m the pick of the ‘pumpkin’ patch – pick me! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
DAISY aka DOODY Lab/Sharpei mix, 1.5 yrs Miss Daisy is the embodiment of "happy to be alive". This sweet soul ended up at the local shelter with extensive wounds to her face and chest, her medical notes indicated she had likely gotten caught in a wire fence or perhaps attacked by other dog. Rescue busted her right out of there and got her to a local vet, where she was diagnosed with ehlers danlos. That's just a fancy way to say her skin is a little more delicate than a normal dogs and tears really easily so she needs to be a little more careful than most dogs and can't roughhouse or engage in "mouthy" play. Daisy is the last to know though, she loves to zoomie all around the yard and her very favorite game is keep away from her foster mamas (especially when it's time to go inside). Daisy does well with dogs of all sizes but needs slow intros. She should be monitored while playing to avoid any potential owies. Daisy is crate trained and a happy playful little soul. She requires a little more care and caution than a typical puppy, but will pay you tenfold in smiles and snuggles. *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
Hi, I’m Koda and I’m looking for my special furever family. I’m a 3 year old lab mix, around 45lbs. My foster mama thinks that I’m very sweet, shy, and loving. I love being with my four legged friends – either dogs of all sizes or cats! That’s right, you can call me your little love bug and I will follow you around for love pats and belly scratches. I even have a trick – yup I’m a magician - throw a dog biscuit near me it will disappear! I’m smart too – I know some commands like "House" to go to Mandalay's kennel to eat, my name and I even come when I’m called! Ok well, mostly I come LOL. I’m still working on the leash bit – I get a bit too excited and a whole bunch anxious so … sometimes I forget all my manners. It probably is better that I go to a family that has older kids (and a little calmer) and I would love to have some four legged friends to play with. Well, that’s me … do you have room for a little love bug in your family? *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. Story
Meet Aria! She is a naughty and somewhat submissive little girl, she has shown this personality since she was little, but she is still a very tender, adorable and loyal puppy. She loves to meet new dogs and lives with cats without any problem, she is so excited to go for walks and walks, she likes to play with balls and ropes and she is used to live with other dogs. She is very intelligent, but her high energy makes it difficult for her to concentrate on a command, haha, she is adorable. Although she looks big in the pictures, she is a small dog that won't grow more than 38-40 pounds, she currently weighs 28 pounds, and will be 7 months old. She likes to be by your side, and have a good nap with you, she is learning to walk on leash, as she loves to run and jump. Ideal for growing up with children. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washignton. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Story
So stop me if you have heard this one...... I was walking down the road, minding my own business when BAM! I was hit by a car!!! You haven't heard this one yet??? Well, sit back and relax and let me tell you my story of despair and hard work and now, REDEMPTION!!! Yes, I was literally minding my own business- I was searching for food, water and maybe some love in the mean streets... The car accident actually SAVED my life and now I am in my foster home and it is SO AWESOME!!! BUT, I have a forever home out there looking for a hard working, happy and SWEET fuzzy (a little gray)face and I am going to find you! I am such a good girl, smart and sweet and huggable. I have been through alot of recovery and am getting around great (see I was partially paralyzed for a month or two after the accident) but with the knowledge and love of my foster family I WALK again! I am pretty independent now and ready for the COUCH of my dreams! Look at my video and see how far I have come. I am great with other dogs, all people and for my safety sake would LOVE a KID OF MY OWN!! I actually am AMAZING WITH SPECIAL NEEDS KIDS :) I just seem to have a special connection with the special kids and sure hope to find one to be my bestest friend!! In return for your family and love I will give you my WHOLE life of love and happiness. I mean, look into my gorgeous soulful eyes and ADOPT ME!!! My foster mom can tell you all about who I am and you can decide to adopt me! ***This dog has a special need from her family. Please identify how you will continue her special care when you adopt her- Noel has bilateral hip dysplasia as well as weakness in her back end. She gets around very well, but needs monitoring and a quiet home. She takes joint supplements daily for life and anti inflammatory meds.**** Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area. Temporary $50 fuel fee will be applied)

Story
Old Yeller, is that a new trend? Old stuff made NEW?? Cause I am NOT old, although I am Yeller, a really pretty YELLER COLOR!!! :) I am a Yeller Chesapeake bay retriever/ YELLER lab mix, it is important for my new family to know about the Chesapeake bay breed. We can be very stubborn, smart and independent and I really like to be in charge, so my new family needs to be strong leaders too. I am a handsome bloke, with swirls of yellow and white all through my coat. I am very smart and very sweet. I can from a high kill shelter with no hope- Now I EXUDE hope!! And LOVE!!! I WAS heartworm positive but have already finished the treatment and am NEGATIVE and just stay on prevention for the rest of my life. I am good with other dogs, but really would be best in an only dog home, cause I want all the attention :) I LOVE MY people and I tend to take "control" of my home so have to have a couple of things... 1) STRONG leadership owner, 2) I have to have an owner who will be wiling to not let me meet everyone who visits.. I want to protect my home a little too much... and 3) I have to stay in the San Antonio/TX area so my rescue friends can keep close tabs on me and how i am doing :) I have been running and playing since I am safe, but really am a couch potato. I am a bigger boy and about 65-70#. Look me up, get my number, text or call me OR just APPLY to ADOPT ME!!! I will be waiting by the phone!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)
