Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sacramento- *special needs* Zooey is a floppy eared Frenchie who came from a backyard breeder. When she became unable to walk because of IVDD, they did nothing. This has left her with two useless back legs and is incontinent. She is super cute with her floppy ears (she looks like a mini English because of them). She gets around on her own with her front legs and will use her back legs to stand up when outside. She will need to wear diapers forever, but it is way easier than you would think. She came to us with poor skin, open wounds, and missing a lot of hair, but now she is looking great and ready for a home. She was super extra with other dogs when she first came and now lives with a gang of them but she is possessive of her crate and her food. She is good with kids (no idea about cats but she is slower than any so it wouldn't matter anyway).   She will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and ready for a life of love.   You can find out more about our available dogs and appt online at: http://recycledpetsnorcal.org/adoptpet/   Adoption fee: $500 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 27, 2024, 12:09 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*SPECIAL NEEDS* Meet Croquette, affectionately known as K, a French Bulldog puppy who is not only adorable but truly special in every way. Despite facing some significant challenges, K embodies the spirit of resilience and boundless joy. This delightful pup shares all the typical traits of a French Bulldog puppy – she loves to play, indulge in chewy hooves, enjoy her meals, and bask in the warmth of snuggles. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and she'll dance with excitement, hoping you'll scoop her up for some extra love. K, however, is a very special girl, born with severe defects, including Spina Bifida with an open defect and leg differences, as well as hydrocephalus (or missing parts of her brain). These conditions mean that her back legs didn't form correctly, and she'll require diapers throughout her life. Her balance is a work in progress, and she may experiences occasional seizures (no meds required as none have helped). While K's special care demands around 45 minutes a day, she firmly believes she deserves attention at all times. She is on the lookout for a family that can provide constant companionship. Foster mom works but luckily someone stops in to care for K during the day.  K will eat hard food but doesn't have the drive for water, so she is fed mush (often by the spoon) to make sure she gets hydrated.  Handling her bathroom needs involves gentle expressions, a routine that K takes in stride. This may seem like a lot, but the reward is immeasurable – the sheer happiness and joy that K brings to every moment. In terms of life expectancy, K's story aligns with another dog adopted out six years ago with similar conditions, who is still thriving today. While the duration of any dog's life is uncertain, what truly matters is the love and cherishment they receive during their time. For those willing to embrace the uniqueness of caring for a special needs pup and provide a loving home, the adoption fee is waived for the right match. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Bubba Sparx, the one-year-old bundle of joy who is as unique as his name suggests. Bubba is a special French Bulldog and Boston Terrier mix, also known as a Frenchton, and he comes with an extra special trait—he's deaf. But don't let that fool you; this charming pup is ready to steal your heart with his infectious personality. Bubba Sparx sports a mostly white coat that adds to his distinctive appearance. His love for people knows no bounds, making him a social butterfly who adores everyone he meets. Full of energy and enthusiasm, Bubba is a playful companion, always up for a game or two. He is only about a year old, so he is pretty puppy still.  Despite his hearing impairment, he's excelling in learning hand signals, showcasing his intelligence and eagerness to communicate. This little guy is making great strides in his training journey. He's acing potty training and has mastered the art of being the perfect houseguest in his crate. Bubba is also in the process of conquering the challenge of using stairs, proving that he's a quick learner with a can-do attitude. Bubba Sparx's heart is set on finding a home where he can share his love for play with another dog companion. His playful spirit and happiness are truly contagious, making him an ideal addition to any dog-loving family. It's disheartening to learn that Bubba Sparx was left at a groomer's office, abandoned by owners who never returned for him. Despite this, he remains a beacon of joy, ready to bring love and laughter to a family who will appreciate his perfection. If you're seeking a loving and resilient furry friend, Bubba Sparx is the ideal match. Give this exceptional pup the chance to be cherished and adored in a forever home that recognizes his uniqueness and embraces his boundless love. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  You can find our adoption process and apply online at: http://recycledpetsnorcal.org/adoptpet/ Adoption fee $800 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 27, 2024, 12:09 am

Story
I am a fun loving little man who you can find cuddling on the couch with my humans or sunbathing outside in my backyard. I will be 7 on November 17th and I weigh approximately 25lbs. I’m a brindle French bulldog/pug mix (3/4 frenchie 1/4 pug) I am the perfect balance of lazy and playful! I love to go for walks and run around but boy do I enjoy a good afternoon nap on the couch with my fuzzy blanket! I am a big cuddle bug and enjoy snuggling up with my humans and getting belly rubs. I love toys and REALLY LOVE to chew on a good bone. I love kids but they need to be school aged! I don’t get along well with other dogs and like all of the attention on me so its best if I am an only pet and spend all my time with humans! When I’m home alone I usually hang out in the living room and sleep on the couch. When my humans go to bed; I sleep in bed with them! I LOVE getting under the covers! I also love going for walks in my neighborhood. I always go potty outside and use my dog door!

Story
Potter is a special needs pup with hydrocephalus; he needs a family that will keep his head safe and be ok with his developmental delays. WHAT IS YOUR NAME? My name is Potter, Hydrocephalus Superhero. ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I’m a little boy. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born around January 28, 2023. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a French Bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? 18lbs WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a cute, little guy! I’m white and brindle piebald, whatever piebald means. I have a little arrow marking on my forehead and white frosting on my ears. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I like moist kibble and dog-friendly treats. I’m not too sure about the carrots or apples that my foster mom offers me, but if you gave me some chicken or other tasty dog-friendly food from your plate, I would probably gobble it up! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? Well, I’m not sure if you know, but I’m kind of a big deal! And all the things that make me different are the same things that make me special. I’m sweet and spunky and living in the moment is my style. I am playful and love to wrestle and chew on my foster brother Tater. I’ve been told I can be kinda demanding; sometimes, I fuss and bark to let you know I want attention, food, or need to go potty. Sometimes, I howl when I’m in my carrier or crate because I want out! But I settle down easily. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day starts with a “good morning, Potter” and scratchies from my foster mom. Then I do a big stretch, go potty, and get ready for breakfast. Sometimes, I go back to sleep for a bit afterward. Once I’m up, I’m ready to play, explore, and find something to chew on like my Benebone. I eat lunch and nap. I spend time chilling, playing tug-o-war, maybe have another nap, and more exploring. I take my medication at 7:00 p.m. sharp and start my bedtime routine of chewing a yak stick, and then snuggle and sleep. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Anything to tug-o-war and my yak stick. If you let me, I will nibble your fingers and toes. Sometimes I wrestle the dog bed and drag it as far as I can! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? No, but I know my name and I come when being called. I’m not sure about learning more. WHAT SCARES YOU? Sometimes loud noises and sudden overhead movement can be scary. I’m little, so people standing over me make me cower or try to get away. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? Yes, but because I can’t play rough and need to be safe guarded, it’s best if I am around older kids that understand. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I don’t think I’ve met a cat, so I am not sure. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I LOVE other dogs. They are fun, but being around gentle dogs that are not too big, who won’t knock me over, or squish me, is safer. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Hanging out with my person or forever family doing whatever they’re doing. I’m easy going. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I was born with Hydrocephalus. I have no idea what that is, but like I said, I’m a superhero and I’m gonna live every day to the fullest. Hydro makes me wobble around, unsteady on my feet, and fall over, but it doesn’t slow me down or stop me from having fun! Humans must be careful with me and ensure my head is protected as much as possible. Other than that, I’m great! Did I mention I am kind of a big deal? WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and my foster brother. I love them both! I really like my foster brother because he lets me chew on him. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I stay in my very own X-pen with toys and a fluffy bed to lounge on, access to my food and water, and plenty of room to potty if I need to. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep on my comfy bed in my very own penned area – you know, superhero style. Sometimes, I fall asleep with my foster mom and magically wake up in my bed. I think it must be one of my superpowers. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? The most important thing for me with walks is that I won’t be going on any walks on the hard pavement. I’ll probably be more of a explore and stumble around on the soft grass kind of guy…. In case I fall over. DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? Um, I like to bark demands and do mischievous stuff, like tear up my potty pads when bored… I don’t think that is so bad. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) No, I go potty on potty pads and sometimes I just go wherever I happen to be. I might be able to be potty-trained, but you’ll have to be very patient with me. DO YOU LIKE WATER? Only to drink and for bathing. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that they protect me, are patient and kind, play with me, and love me. I’m living the dream. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was born different, so some nice ladies rescued me and brought me from far away to NorCal. Now, I live in a wonderful foster home and my future is wide open… Did I mention I am kind of a big deal? If you’d like to have a superhero in your life, I am SO ready to love you forever! **Potter's adoption fee is $1,000.00** If you are interested in adopting Potter, please jump on our website and read why about the adoption fees for special breeds BEFORE filling out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! I am Billy! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am such a sweet boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born in August 2022. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? French Bulldog HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? 24 pounds WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a soft black and brown brindle coat, slim frame and long legs! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I would like to eat everything, but I’m only allowed larger kibble because I have a cleft palate. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am pretty sure I was a cat in my previous life. While I am friendly and playful, I am also super particular about how I like to be touched. Sometimes I am okay with belly rubs, and other times I am uncomfortable with it. Sometimes I like having my back massaged gently, but then I might wiggle away the next time you try. If I’m feeling cuddly, I might curl up next to you, but then if you try to cuddle me, I’ll have to think about whether I’m alright with that. See, I’m a cat trapped in a dog’s body! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day would be playing with my fellow foster siblings, getting my zoomies out in the yard, sunbathing, and then napping next to my humans. Plus treats, treats, and more treats! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? My favorites are soft toys, no squeaker required! They are soothing to me! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I do! I am very good at SIT, especially when I know there are treats being offered as a reward! I know EAT means go to my crate and wait patiently for my kibble! And my foster grandma has taught me PAW, which I’m very proud of! My foster mom says I’m pretty smart, and I have to agree with her on that! WHAT SCARES YOU? Well, I’ve always had a nervous disposition. My foster mom says I’m like her little Italian grandmother, always slightly worried about something…except fireworks. Those don’t bug me at all! HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have been around children ages four and up, though I’m probably best with kids that understand I am not into hugs. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I’ve never met one…unless we count my past life experiences. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I am very friendly with other dogs! I get along well with all the other fosters and resident dogs in the home! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Snuggled up on the couch with my forever family! Oh and I just LOVE sunbathing every chance I get! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I have a cleft palate that requires that I stick to a certain size kibble so it doesn’t get caught in my cleft. And if you know clefties, we sometimes sneeze a lot to clear our palates! I am very good at letting my grandma blot my nose when I sneeze. I was also born with an underdeveloped left eye, but it has grown to a healthier size over the last several months! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom, foster grandma, and several young adults that come over almost every day. I love them all, but I would say grandma is my favorite because I nap with her on a leather recliner while mom is working. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? Safely in my crate, which is my favorite safe space! WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep very well in my crate! DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? Well, since you asked nicely, I’ll tell you … I am really not a fan of leash walks. The idea of leaving the house is just not appealing to me. I have everything I need at home! DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I like to “nibble” on my people. I don’t bite, but it is soothing to me to nibble. I also love to chew the tags off blankets, so my foster mom makes sure those are cut off. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Yes, I am house trained and go out the doggie door perfectly every time I need to potty. If there isn’t access to the doggie door, I will come tell you I need to go! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I love drinking it, but I’m not a fan of bathing in it so please make those quick! I will go out in the rain to do my business because I am a good boy… But I certainly won’t stay out there too long. No thank you! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love hanging out with the other foster dogs and my humans. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I was surrendered the day I was born due to my cleft palate and underdeveloped left eye. NorCal Bully Breed Rescue saved me, tube fed me until I could eat safely on my own, and made sure that I have been loved for my whole young life so far. But I am ready to find a family that I can call my own. Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hello! I’m Sasha! 👋 ARE YOU A GIRL OR A BOY? I'm a sweet, sassy girl. 💖 HOW OLD ARE YOU? I’m told I am two years old. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French Bulldog. 🐾 HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? 25 pounds WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a shiny black coat with a white patch on my chest and the cutest puppy dog eyes you’ve ever seen. My foster parents tell me I’m perfect, and I have to agree with them on that one! 😊 WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love my kibbles, but I think I love my treats just a little more! Just know, I never turn down any food you give me . . . Or drop on the floor. 🤭 WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I’m a big snuggle bug! I can be a little sassy when I don’t get what I want. When the sass doesn’t work, I pull out my secret weapon… My puppy dog eyes.🥹 That usually does the trick. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Oh, that’s an easy one… Breakfast, playtime, a mid-morning nap, then I wake up and do it all over again! Squeeze in a walk and some cuddles (obviously) and I’m the happiest pup EVER! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love ALL the toys!!! I have my favorite stuffed animal, my nylabones, and my squeaky toys. 🧸 DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know sit, wait, and I have recently learned shake, which is a favorite in my foster home. Treats always help when you want me to do tricks. I’m easily persuaded with food. 😁 WHAT SCARES YOU? Cleaning stuff! I hate when foster mama cleans. The vacuum, mop, leaf blower, spray… I must protect the household from all of it. Either that, or she can just stop cleaning! 🤔 HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? DO YOU LIKE THEM? I don't have any children in my foster home, but I have met one kiddo and he was a pretty neat little fella who I can hang with. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I’m not sure I even know what a cat is!😺 HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love my doggy foster sister and brother! It may take me some time to warm up to other dogs, but once I do, I love them with my whole heart. ❤️ Just set me up for success with slow introductions, please! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Anywhere my humans are! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I am happy and healthy. I snore a lot, but everybody knows that about Frenchies, right? We are world-class snorers! 😬 WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? My foster mommies and doggy foster brother and sister! My foster mamas are my closest companions, but I love my foster brother and sister because we play and cuddle all day long! WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? In my kennel. I will put up a fuss for a bit when left alone, but then I just go to sleep. 💤 WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? In my kennel with my own comfy puppy bed and toys. 🧸 DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love going on walks and exploring the outdoors! I even know to sit so my foster mom can put the harness on before we go for our walks. I’m such a good girl, right?!? DO YOU HAVE ANY "NOT-SO-GREAT" HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? FOR INSTANCE, DO YOU BARK OR DIG IN THE YARD? If I know you’re home, I want to be out and about with you. So if I’m in my kennel, I am pretty vocal with my complaints to management. 😜 And I am protective of what’s mine, especially when it comes to food, treats, and toys. So it is important to supervise playtime if toys are involved. And please give me private space to eat my meals so I can relax and eat peacefully. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED? (MEANING DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE) My foster home has a doggy door and I know “Go potty outside” means it’s time to go outside to handle my business. I am very good at letting the humans know when I need to potty. ☺️ DO YOU LIKE WATER? I am not a fan of bath time, but I put up with it like a good girl. I’m not built for water activities, though, so I need to be kept safe from pools, please. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? They show me patience and unconditional love and care. My doggy foster brother and sister have been so helpful, teaching me how to be a good dog and how to have fun! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? I don’t really remember much about it, actually. I just know I ended up in the shelter until NorCal Bully Breed Rescue saved me and found a wonderful foster family to help me. And now I am ready for my own loving forever home. Will you please show me what happily ever after looks like and take me home with you? 👑💖 ⭐️Sasha’s ADOPTION FEE IS $1500⭐️ For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa If you are interested in Sasha, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas. Story
*FEE NEGOTIABLE* Jughead is a 6yo LOVER and wants to be with his people. All he wants is to be nearby to the point of touching or almost touching you, to eat food, and to get good pets in. He is anxious when separated & has been that way since we got him at 6mos old from a breeder (can be worked on through positive reinforcement), he is now reactive toward other dogs because he was attacked unprovoked by two different bull males in 2020 (can also be worked with through positive reinforcement), and he has typical Frenchie reflux. Temperament toward humans and cats: a total DOLL. He is LOW ENERGY, great with gentle kids and deserves just that, he is not fit for a home with rambunctious kids due to his breed’s spine sensitivities. Ideal owner: a WFH/SAH owner who would enjoy training him through separation anxiety as needed; will get pet insurance to cover unforeseen breed specific issues; regularly groom nails/hair/face folds & buy special food that keeps yeast low.

Story
Meet our lovely Gianna. She is a one-year-old, 20-pound, tan, French bulldog. When she was surrendered to AFC, she was in rough shape! She was bruised from head to toe from an apparent beating. She had awful skin and missing hair. She has experienced both abuse and neglect. However, she didn't allow that to change her loving heart. She has absolutely blossomed in her foster home. She is a sweetheart and loves people of all ages. She is fine with most other dogs. She would also be happy to be your one and only love. NO CATS as she will chase them. She is happy and playful and loves her toys. Gianna will chase a ball if you throw it but she won’t bring it back! Can you teach her to fetch? *(A short walk or outdoor play session with their owner each day should provide enough exercise to keep the French Bulldog in shape. Frenchies enjoy participating in canine sports such as obedience, agility, and rally. As a flat-faced breed, however, they are prone to breathing difficulties and should never be allowed to exert themselves in hot or humid weather)*. Gianna is on grain free salmon and sweet potato dog food and she is doing well on it. She also eats out of a Slow Feed Puzzle Bowl. Her skin and coat are now healthy. She is housetrained to a dog door. She is crate trained but absolutely LOVES to sleep in your bed! Warning though, she is a bed hog, lol. She will need leash training. She rides well in the car. She would be a wonderful addition to almost any home. Breed experience REQUIRED. She has been spayed, microchipped and currently vaccinated. Here is a list of things that should help us answer you in a more timely manner. 1. When you apply please always use the same email address. If we need to look something up later and you used a different email we are often not able to find it. 2. Adopt a Pet and Petfinders ask you to send us an enquiry. This always delays our response. (Why) a. Our biographies are always very detailed. Therefore sending an enquiry asking us to repeat what it says in the biography causes a lot more work and delays our response. b. We are a small non-profit and do not always have the help to answer as many enquiries as we get. c. Again our Biographies are very detailed and if you just click the link near the bottom of their bio you can fill out an application which we will respond to. 3. For the AFC website (scroll down to the bio at the bottom it says (apply to adopt today- click that link) www.animalfriendsconnect.org 4. For Petfinders ( scroll down to the biography then click the adoption link) http://animalfriendsconnect.org/adoption-application-dogs/ 5. For Adopt a Pet (scroll way down past “Ask about me”) you will see the biography and underneath that will be the adoption questionnaire link. Story
Meet Banjoe, a friendly and independent girl with a goofy streak that can make anyone smile. She's a curious explorer, always eager to sniff out a new adventure. Whether it's chasing after a squirrel or investigating a rustling leaf, her zest for life is contagious. Banjoe thrives in a home where she can be herself, independent yet always ready for a cuddle. She's the perfect companion for someone who appreciates a dog with a quirky personality. Adopt Banjoe and let her bring a joyful, goofy, and adventurous spirit into your life. Banjoe does not like to be grabbed so we are requiring that any children in her new home are age 10 or older so they can understand her boundaries. Banjoe enjoys the company of other dogs but is still learning her dog manners, so we will be providing a dog introduction to potential adopters who already have a canine companion at home to ensure that Banjoe's new friend will be comfortable.Adoption Price: $200Monthly Promotion Applies

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sacramento- Meet Tootsie Roll, an adorable English Bulldog with a heart as sweet as her name. Tootsie Roll is a special pup, as she has Spina Bifida, a condition that affects her bladder and bowel control. Despite this, Tootsie Roll walks just fine, radiating joy with every step. To manage her incontinence, Tootsie Roll wears a diaper, a routine that, for those unfamiliar, is not as daunting as it may seem. It requires less than half an hour of care each day, and the more time without a diaper, the better off she is. This lovable Bulldog is, otherwise, a "normal" English Bulldog, complete with the charming quirks that make the breed so beloved. Tootsie Roll isn't a fan of hot weather, but the joys of diapers mean that outings are more flexible, especially during hot or rainy days. Despite facing the heartbreaking prospect of euthanasia due to her condition, Tootsie Roll's resilience shone through, and she is now ready to bring joy to a loving home. This happy and social girl adores attention, playtime, and, yes, she snores loud! Tootsie Roll would thrive in a home with another dog companion, relishing in playful interactions. However, humans willing to engage in tug-of-war and toss games will also find her to be the perfect playmate. Caring for a dog with Spina Bifida involves managing skin care and bowel and bladder functions, but this can be navigated through various approaches. Tootsie Roll's foster parent has found success by using a pen at night and during work hours to give her diaper-free time. For those interested in welcoming Tootsie Roll into their lives, the adoption process is conveniently available online at http://recycledpetsnorcal.org/adoptpet/. The adoption fee of $500 covers her spaying, microchipping, and up-to-date vaccines. This fee is waived for a home with a human also dealing with Spina Bifida, recognizing the unique connection that can be formed. To gain insights into caring for a dog with Spina Bifida, there's a helpful Facebook group dedicated to English Bulldogs with the condition. Additionally, for information on bowel management, the website https://www.handicappedpets.com/blog/bowel-management-incontinent-pets/ can be a valuable resource. Tootsie Roll is more than a pet; she's a testament to resilience and the capacity for love. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this special Bulldog, she is eagerly waiting for her perfect forever family.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 27, 2024, 12:09 am
