Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*SPECIAL NEEDS* Meet Croquette, affectionately known as K, a French Bulldog puppy who is not only adorable but truly special in every way. Despite facing some significant challenges, K embodies the spirit of resilience and boundless joy. This delightful pup shares all the typical traits of a French Bulldog puppy – she loves to play, indulge in chewy hooves, enjoy her meals, and bask in the warmth of snuggles. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and she'll dance with excitement, hoping you'll scoop her up for some extra love. K, however, is a very special girl, born with severe defects, including Spina Bifida with an open defect and leg differences, as well as hydrocephalus (or missing parts of her brain). These conditions mean that her back legs didn't form correctly, and she'll require diapers throughout her life. Her balance is a work in progress, and she may experiences occasional seizures (no meds required as none have helped). While K's special care demands around 45 minutes a day, she firmly believes she deserves attention at all times. She is on the lookout for a family that can provide constant companionship. Foster mom works but luckily someone stops in to care for K during the day.  K will eat hard food but doesn't have the drive for water, so she is fed mush (often by the spoon) to make sure she gets hydrated.  Handling her bathroom needs involves gentle expressions, a routine that K takes in stride. This may seem like a lot, but the reward is immeasurable – the sheer happiness and joy that K brings to every moment. In terms of life expectancy, K's story aligns with another dog adopted out six years ago with similar conditions, who is still thriving today. While the duration of any dog's life is uncertain, what truly matters is the love and cherishment they receive during their time. For those willing to embrace the uniqueness of caring for a special needs pup and provide a loving home, the adoption fee is waived for the right match. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Ora – The Shimmering Little Miracle Ora is a tiny French Bulldog with a heart of gold and a coat as unique as her story. Born on August 20th, she was recently brought to the Antioch Shelter, who reached out to us for help. Despite that rocky beginning, Ora is one of the happiest, most social little pups you’ll ever meet—she adores people, loves other dogs, and clearly came from a home where she was loved. What Makes Ora So Unique? Ora is a double merle Frenchie. This means both of her parents carried the merle gene, which creates beautiful, mottled coats. But when two merles are bred together, it can result in pups with very light coloring and an increased risk of vision or hearing issues—about a 25% chance. Ora beat the odds! She can both see and hear, though one of her eyes is red (likely due to albinism), which may cause some light sensitivity or slightly reduced vision. But don’t worry—dogs don’t rely heavily on eyesight. They navigate the world with their noses, ears, and hearts, and Ora does just fine. More About Ora: Age: Born 8/20 Personality: Outgoing, affectionate, loves humans and dogs alike Health: Appears to see and hear well; may have mild light sensitivity Special Traits: Rare merle coat, red albino eye, emotionally resilient and sweet Behavior: Social butterfly, playful, loves to be near her people &#226&#156&#168 Ready for a Special Kind of Love? Ora is a perfectly imperfect little soul looking for someone who appreciates her rare beauty and big personality. She’s as “normal” as any puppy—just with extra sparkle. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sacramento- Meet Brie, the delightful 2-year-old French Bulldog with a heart as warm as her fur. Brie is a charming canine companion, characterized by her laid-back demeanor and love for leisure. While she may not be a morning enthusiast, her playful side emerges when the mood strikes, making her a delightful playmate. Brie's unique story adds a layer of depth to her character. She was previously the cherished companion of an owner who faced physical challenges but provided her with love and care. Unfortunately, her owner has passed away, and now Brie is seeking a new loving home. This adorable Frenchie is a social butterfly with other animals, displaying a non-dominant and friendly attitude. She's currently in the process of learning crate and house training, showcasing her adaptability and willingness to learn. Brie has been spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  One of Brie's endearing quirks is her preference for sleeping on your bed, where she can unleash her impressive snoring talents. Despite the noise, her comforting presence is sure to bring joy and warmth to your nights. If you're looking for a sweet, easygoing, and affectionate furry friend, Brie might be the perfect addition to your home. Give this lovable French Bulldog the chance to share her love and companionship with a new family. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Stuart – The Fluffy Little Fighter! Stuart is an impossibly fluffy, tiny French Bulldog with a mighty heart. Born Aug 31st  with a cleft palate, he was tube-fed from birth and is still learning how to eat on his own. Because of this, he’s smaller than most pups his age—but he’s growing bigger every day as he gets better at eating. He currently drinks from a water bottle instead of a bowl so he doesn’t accidentally take in too much water through his cleft. What does his cleft mean long term? Most cleft palate pups—just like Stuart—learn to eat and drink normally as they grow. In over 13 years of raising cleft pups, we’ve rarely needed surgery, and don’t recommend it unless a dog develops chronic sinus infections. These surgeries can cause more issues than they solve, and Stuart has been thriving without them. Because he was hand-raised, Stuart is very bonded to people and loves being close to his humans. He’s happiest when he’s snuggled up in your arms or following you around the house. His eyes appear to be extra sensitive to sunlight, and he may have some level of albinism, so wearing doggles (doggy goggles) outdoors in bright light will help protect his vision. Why You’ll Love Him: Sweet, gentle, and people-focused Fluffy, unique, and absolutely adorable Resilient and growing more confident every day A once-in-a-lifetime kind of companion Adoption Fee: $900 Ready to find his forever family! Apply: AdoptPet - Recycled Pets NorCal Anyone would be lucky to welcome this special little boy into their home. If you’re ready to love, protect, and spoil him as he deserves, Stuart is ready to love you right back.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 19, 2025, 3:56 pm

Story
Angelina loves affection, she likes to go on walks, car rides, to sit on a chair or sofa, cuddle with you on the sofa, she loves to be with people who love her and she also likes to chill. She will patiently wait for you to get up in the morning and then wiggle with excitement when she sees you. It’s one of the things that I love to see her do. She is such a sweetheart. We want Angelina to go to a family who will love her and enjoy her cuteness. There weren’t a lot of choices to choose from for my reason to rehome Angelina so I picked doesn’t get a long with another pet. There is an option to continue with Angelina’s pet insurance or to let it go. She is in good health. I prefer to keep her in the surrounding Sacramento area to avoid any stress from a long travel but I’m open to talk about it. Contact me with any questions.
