Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi hi!! I am Diego! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a spunky little boy! HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born in mid-2024. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a potato! Oops… I mean, I’m a French Bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I am around 20 pounds. Perfect, right? WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a handsome fawn fox (at least that’s what foster mom says, and I don’t disagree!) I’ve got darker fur on my muzzle and around my big, curious eyes. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love any and all food. To keep me healthy and growing strong, my foster family feeds me kibble and it’s delicious. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a very energetic young man! I love life and have no problem entertaining myself with my toys. Let’s play! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day would start with breakfast and then a walk or play time. After that, I would love to take a nap, play some more, maybe walk some more if I can convince my human to go out again, and then it’s dinner time. After dinner, I would play a little more and then go to bed. I love to ride in the car and am really great company running errands. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? My foster family has lots of toys for me. I love the ones I can toss around. My favorites are rope toy and a long snake. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? Is being really handsome a trick? Because I’ve got that one mastered! I also know sit and come and I am learning leave it and spot (a place command). WHAT SCARES YOU? I am a pretty brave little guy. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have not. I should be in a home with adults only because kids will not understand that my stuff is my stuff and I don’t want to share! DO YOU LIKE CATS? There are no cats in my foster home. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I have met a few other dogs and I liked them. With proper introductions, I think I could have some good times with a dog friend. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I love to be around my humans and will follow them anywhere. I am an excellent supervisor in the kitchen. And when it is quiet time, I will curl up on my bed next to my humans like a good little companion. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? My health is good. When I first came to the rescue, I had a hard time breathing, but NorCal Bully Breed Rescue made sure I got the surgery I needed. I am a new boy now and, oh wow, is life fun when you can breathe! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I’ve got great foster parents! I like my foster mom so much! I would follow her anywhere. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I am a very good boy napping in my X-pen when I am left alone. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep in my X-pen. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I love going for walks, even though my little legs wont carry me very far. Everything is very exciting out in the big world, so I am still perfecting my leash manners. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I am still a young man, so sometimes normal puppy behavior surfaces, but my foster family always makes sure I’m supervised so I don’t get into mischief. Sometimes, I get worried that people are going to take my things, and that makes me uncomfortable. Until I figure that out, I would prefer to have my own space while I play with a treasured toy or eat my meals. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I am potty trained like a very good boy! DO YOU LIKE WATER? I love to drink water. I don’t mind a bath. My legs are not built for swimming, so that’s the only water I need. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love their company! People are so much fun! Oh, and they also feed me and give me toys, which is pretty cool of them. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOUR FUTURE ADOPTER? I am so excited for what lies ahead for me. Perhaps you and I can explore what the future would look like together? I can’t wait to spend forever with you! Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! I’m Mía! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am a very pretty girl. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born on March 21, 2022! WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I weigh 24 pounds! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a blue merle, so my coat is swirl of grey and white! My beautiful hazel eyes are quite mesmerizing, but my main showstopper is my adorable floppy left ear! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love food and would eat anything I'm given. However, I have some allergies to chicken and other poultry products. My favorite treats are salmon bites my foster mom gives me! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am perky and energetic! I love to chew on my squeaky toys or be cuddled while getting a belly rub. I love love LOVE being with my humans! But my most favorite thing to do is steal toys and play catch me if you can! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day is eat, play, sleep, cuddle on repeat! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? My favorite toys are the ones I steal from others! Especially the rubber spikey kong balls, squeaky toys, or the Benebones! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know "sit" so far! And I know to go to my crate when it's time to eat or sleep. WHAT SCARES YOU? I have a case of FOMO (fear of missing out) but that's about all so far. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? Yes, I've only met older kids so far (9+ years old). I like that they give me a lot of attention and love to play with me and my toys! DO YOU LIKE CATS? I haven't met a cat. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I like them a lot, big or small! Especially playing keep away with toys! It's my favorite game! Though since I can be a toy hog, slow introductions are important. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I love to be with my humans getting attention or just cuddling on the couch. When it's warm out, I do love sunbathing! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m an IVDD survivor! I have recovered amazingly from surgery and just have a little wobble when I walk. So I use soft stairs to go up and down the couch, and I avoid hard stairs. Did I mention I'm allergic to poultry? Typical Frenchie right? WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom, foster grandma, and five other dogs! There are two large Cane Corsos, two other frenchies (Peru and Billy), and something called a "chiwhatwhat.” I'm closest to my foster mom because she took such good care of me while I healed, but also because she's my snack supplier. Though, I have a little crush on Peru and like stealing his toys to make him chase me. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang in my x-pen area or an extra large crate. I have enough room to stretch my legs WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Same as my hangout area. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I’m pretty great on leash and love going on walks and adventures! Though my walks aren't very long just yet since I'm slowly building up my muscles and stamina. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? Well, I guess stealing toys is frowned upon by some when I get overzealous about it. So toys have been a slow introduction when in shared spaces. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I use a doggy door with confidence if I have access to it! Though if there's a potty pad in my x-pen, I'll use that too. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I LOVE to slurp it, not sure how I would feel about a splash pad on a hot day, but I’m willing to try it out when the weather warms up! No swimming pools for me. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? They make me feel safe and loved, and give me so many toys to play with! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUED? Well, I was used for breeding, then given up when it took a toll on my body. The vet hospital that did my surgery contacted NorCal Bully Breed Rescue to help me find a loving home. Now that I’m all healed up, I am ready to spend the rest of my fabulous life being loved and cuddled and playing and going on walks. And did I mention love? I would LOVE to love you forever if you give me a chance! **MIA'S ADOPTION FEE IS $ 750.** If you are interested in adopting MIA, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi there! I am Zinnie! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am a super cute little girl! HOW OLD ARE YOU? Hmm… my best guess is around one year old as of mid-2025. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I’m a French Bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I weigh around 17 pounds. Perfect, right? WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? Adorable isn’t even enough to adequately describe my cuteness. I have a GORGEOUS merle coat that is so soft, you will want to pet me constantly. My foster mom calls me a little snow leopard! I love that description! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I mostly eat kibble with a little wet food mixed in just for fun. I play with blueberries a little bit because they’re kind of like a ball, as far as I can tell. I’ll tell you more about my love affair with balls later! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? My personality is the best! I am such an easygoing girl. I am always happy and just love to be loved. If you give me belly rubs, I’ll be your best friend! I absolutely ADORE playing with a ball. I carry my ball around and fall asleep with it in my mouth most of the time. It is my favorite thing in the whole world! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY I wake up happy and love a good play session after my morning potty and breakfast. Of course, that play session will definitely involve chasing the ball around! I can’t see it, but boy oh boy is it fun to chase that little rascal around the yard! I take naps in between play sessions and meals throughout the day like a good little girl. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? Ummmm… I think we covered this already, right? Ball is life, of course! Let’s go play! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I am really smart, so I can learn whatever you teach me. My most impressive talent right now is that I sit my little booty down after I go potty and then make a beeline directly for the treat jar to get my “good girl” treat. It’s really cute, if I do say so myself! WHAT SCARES YOU? I’m pretty brave, actually. I am open to trying new things, although it is probably good if we have a consistent setup for my water and food bowls, furniture, and the toy box so I don’t have to sniff too hard to find them. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I have been around my foster family’s young granddaughter and I like her a lot. But I should probably just be around older children. I sometimes try to grab my toy while we play tug and don’t realize it is not in your hand, so a young child might get scared if it seems like I am biting. I’m really not biting, I’m just not sure where the toy is at that moment! DO YOU LIKE CATS? I have not been around cats. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I like dogs, but I should be in a home with a dog that is patient and tolerant of me when I am a little bit of a pest. Hey, don’t judge! I haven’t had that much exposure to other dogs and it is all very new. Please make sure you set me up for success with slow introductions! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Anywhere that you are, as long as you bring my ball with us! If there are belly rubs and a ball, I will be a happy little nugget! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? Well, first of all, I am blind. Yup, you read that right. But it does not slow me down a bit. I like to say that I can do anything that other dogs can do, except see! I am running, playing, chasing my ball, and getting around the house without a problem. I’m all over it! I’ve got some eye drops that the doctor wants me to have long term to help my eyes stay healthy overall, but that is the only medical treatment I need. My foster mom thinks I might be a little hard of hearing, too, but I am responsive to loud claps or commands. WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster parents, their two resident dogs, and one other foster Frenchie. My best friend is definitely my foster mom. She takes such good care of me, teaching me how to be a good girl and how to navigate around the house like a pro. I love to follow her around wherever she goes! WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I am so cozy and comfortable in my very own crate! It’s my happy space. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep through the night like a little angel in my crate. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? Enh, I’m not a huge fan of the leash. It is a little bit much to be out there with all those smells overwhelming my nose! I am alright with short walks in cool weather, but I tend to get tired and overheat easily, so let’s not push it, okay? DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I sometimes find myself in spots that foster mom says I should not be in. I try to tell her I’m just checking things out, but she tells me to “get out of there!” and I am a good girl, so I do it. And I tend to walk really close to my humans, which means I am often right underfoot and might trip them up or get myself stepped on if they don’t know I’m there! ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Yes! I have only had one accident inside. I have a regular routine so I am going potty outside consistently throughout the day. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I am all about drinking water (who isn’t, right?), and I am a very good girl in the bath. I should definitely not be around a pool or other body of water, though. Frenchies just aren’t built for water activities, and the fact that I am not able to see makes it especially important to keep me safe from that stuff. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? What’s not to love? They took me in when I needed a safe place to stay, and they have shown me what it feels like to be treasured and loved. They have taught me that I am deserving of a life full of toys and food and belly rubs and balls. WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUE? That’s a good question, but I don’t have much of an answer. All I know is that I was at a shelter, which was no fun at all. I couldn’t see anything and it was pretty scary and confusing. But I stayed strong until NorCal Bully Breed Rescue came for me, and they got me out of that place and into my wonderful foster home. Now that I have been here for a while, I am ready to find my forever home so I can have more fun new experiences. Will you show me what life is like with a family of my own? **ZINNIE’S ADOPTION FEE IS $350** If you are interested in ZINNIE, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org At this time we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi hi! My name is Frankie! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am an adorable little girl. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born in early 2025. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French Bulldog mix. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I'm a compact 18-pound little peanut. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I have a beautiful chocolate-colored coat with fawn accents and the most adorable speckled legs and face. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I LOVE food. Love it! But my foster parents make sure I am healthy, so I only eat puppy food, and sometimes I get treats for training. WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am a fun-loving playful puppy! I play, nap, play, and nap again. And I am a cuddle bug who will never pass up a cozy lap to curl up in. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: Every day is perfect to me right now! Everything is fun and exciting, even though it is the same thing I did the day before. I play with my dog friends, I have lots of naps and cuddles with the humans, and I get to lounge around baking in the sunshine. If any of that sounds like it would work for you, then my days would be even more perfect with you in my forever home! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I love all kinds of toys, but stuffies are my favorite. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I have magic powers! I can instantly make your world so much more full of love and fun with one look at my cute little face. Does that count? WHAT SCARES YOU? I’m not afraid of anything! HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I’ve been around my foster mom's toddler grandson. I love him so much! Since I am young and excited for a little human playmate, foster mom makes sure to watch us together so we are both safe. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I've never met a cat, so I'm really not sure! HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I love all the dogs I've ever met. My foster brother and sister, both frenchies, are some of my best friends! IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? If I could be anywhere, it would be with my humans and, ideally, with one or more dog friends to play with. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m very healthy! I did have cherry eye in both eyes when I came to NorCal Bully Breed Rescue, but I had surgery to repair them and I am doing great now! WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster parents, their two French bulldogs, and my sister, Fern, who was rescued with me. I love them all, but Fern is my closest companion. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I have a puppy pen that I hang out in with my sister! WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? I sleep like a little angel in my pen. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I am learning to love it! DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? I'm a jumper when I greet people. I just want to be where all the action is and I love people SO much! My foster parents are helping me work on keeping my paws on the ground. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? With consistency and patience, I am figuring out the whole potty situation. I am young and learning is a process, but I am doing really well for my age. I will continue to improve with time. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I should not be participating in any water sports, that’s for sure! I am a Frenchie, which means I am better on land than in the water. Please keep me safe! WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? My foster mom and dad love to play with us as much as they love to snuggle! My favorite is a long nap in a human lap after a play session. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOUR FUTURE ADOPTER? I’m SO ready to enjoy the rest of my life with my forever family! I would love to come home with you. Let’s do this! ** FRANKIE’S ADOPTION FEE IS $ 750** If you are interested in adopting Frankie, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Stuart – The Fluffy Little Fighter! Stuart is an impossibly fluffy, tiny French Bulldog with a mighty heart. Born August 31st with a cleft palate, Stuart was tube-fed from birth—but he’s come an incredible long way. He now eats completely on his own and continues to grow stronger and more confident every day. While he’s still smaller than most pups his age, he’s thriving and proving just how resilient he is. Stuart currently prefers drinking from a water bottle rather than a bowl, which helps him manage his cleft safely and comfortably. What does his cleft mean long term? Most cleft palate pups—just like Stuart—learn to eat and drink normally as they grow. In over 13 years of raising cleft pups, surgery has rarely been necessary and is not recommended unless chronic sinus infections develop. These procedures can create more problems than they solve, and Stuart has been doing wonderfully without surgery. Because he was hand-raised, Stuart is extremely people-oriented and deeply bonded to his humans. He loves being close—whether that’s snuggled in your arms or toddling along behind you from room to room. He lives comfortably in a busy home with lots of dogs and children and does great with both. Why You’ll Love Him: Sweet, gentle, and incredibly people-focused Eats on his own and continues to gain confidence Great with dogs and kids Fluffy, unique, and undeniably adorable A resilient, once-in-a-lifetime kind of companion Adoption Fee: $700 Apply: AdoptPet – Recycled Pets NorCal Anyone would be lucky to welcome this special little boy into their home. If you’re ready to love, protect, and spoil him the way he deserves, Stuart is ready to love you right back. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ora – The Shimmering Little Miracle &#226&#156&#168 Ora is a growing French Bulldog with a heart of gold and a coat as rare and beautiful as her story. Born August 20th, she was brought to the Antioch Shelter, who reached out to us for help. Despite that rocky start, Ora has blossomed into a happy, confident, social young dog who is more than ready for her forever home. Ora is no longer a tiny baby—she’s getting bigger, stronger, and more playful by the day, and she truly needs a family of her own now. She absolutely adores people, loves other dogs, and clearly came from a home where she was loved and well socialized. What Makes Ora So Unique? Ora is a double merle Frenchie. While this creates her stunning light coat, it can come with increased risk of vision or hearing issues. Ora beat the odds—she can see and hear and functions just like any other joyful, active young dog. One of her eyes is red, likely related to albinism, which may cause mild light sensitivity, but it does not slow her down. More About Ora: Born: 8/20 Size: Growing quickly and no longer a tiny puppy Personality: Outgoing, affectionate, and people-focused Health: Sees and hears; possible mild light sensitivity Behavior: Playful, social, loves dogs, happiest with her humans Special Traits: Rare merle coat, red albino eye, resilient and joyful &#226&#156&#168 Ora Is Ready—And Waiting Ora doesn’t need a rescue anymore—she needs a home.
