Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Stuart – The Fluffy Little Fighter! Stuart is an impossibly fluffy, tiny French Bulldog with a mighty heart. Born Aug 31st  with a cleft palate, he was tube-fed from birth and is still learning how to eat on his own. Because of this, he’s smaller than most pups his age—but he’s growing bigger every day as he gets better at eating. He currently drinks from a water bottle instead of a bowl so he doesn’t accidentally take in too much water through his cleft. What does his cleft mean long term? Most cleft palate pups—just like Stuart—learn to eat and drink normally as they grow. In over 13 years of raising cleft pups, we’ve rarely needed surgery, and don’t recommend it unless a dog develops chronic sinus infections. These surgeries can cause more issues than they solve, and Stuart has been thriving without them. Because he was hand-raised, Stuart is very bonded to people and loves being close to his humans. He’s happiest when he’s snuggled up in your arms or following you around the house. His eyes appear to be extra sensitive to sunlight, and he may have some level of albinism, so wearing doggles (doggy goggles) outdoors in bright light will help protect his vision. Why You’ll Love Him: Sweet, gentle, and people-focused Fluffy, unique, and absolutely adorable Resilient and growing more confident every day A once-in-a-lifetime kind of companion Adoption Fee: $900 Ready to find his forever family! Apply: AdoptPet - Recycled Pets NorCal Anyone would be lucky to welcome this special little boy into their home. If you’re ready to love, protect, and spoil him as he deserves, Stuart is ready to love you right back.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 19, 2025, 3:56 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Ora – The Shimmering Little Miracle Ora is a tiny French Bulldog with a heart of gold and a coat as unique as her story. Born on August 20th, she was recently brought to the Antioch Shelter, who reached out to us for help. Despite that rocky beginning, Ora is one of the happiest, most social little pups you’ll ever meet—she adores people, loves other dogs, and clearly came from a home where she was loved. What Makes Ora So Unique? Ora is a double merle Frenchie. This means both of her parents carried the merle gene, which creates beautiful, mottled coats. But when two merles are bred together, it can result in pups with very light coloring and an increased risk of vision or hearing issues—about a 25% chance. Ora beat the odds! She can both see and hear, though one of her eyes is red (likely due to albinism), which may cause some light sensitivity or slightly reduced vision. But don’t worry—dogs don’t rely heavily on eyesight. They navigate the world with their noses, ears, and hearts, and Ora does just fine. More About Ora: Age: Born 8/20 Personality: Outgoing, affectionate, loves humans and dogs alike Health: Appears to see and hear well; may have mild light sensitivity Special Traits: Rare merle coat, red albino eye, emotionally resilient and sweet Behavior: Social butterfly, playful, loves to be near her people &#226&#156&#168 Ready for a Special Kind of Love? Ora is a perfectly imperfect little soul looking for someone who appreciates her rare beauty and big personality. She’s as “normal” as any puppy—just with extra sparkle. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.*SPECIAL NEEDS* Meet Croquette, affectionately known as K, a French Bulldog puppy who is not only adorable but truly special in every way. Despite facing some significant challenges, K embodies the spirit of resilience and boundless joy. This delightful pup shares all the typical traits of a French Bulldog puppy – she loves to play, indulge in chewy hooves, enjoy her meals, and bask in the warmth of snuggles. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and she'll dance with excitement, hoping you'll scoop her up for some extra love. K, however, is a very special girl, born with severe defects, including Spina Bifida with an open defect and leg differences, as well as hydrocephalus (or missing parts of her brain). These conditions mean that her back legs didn't form correctly, and she'll require diapers throughout her life. Her balance is a work in progress, and she may experiences occasional seizures (no meds required as none have helped). While K's special care demands around 45 minutes a day, she firmly believes she deserves attention at all times. She is on the lookout for a family that can provide constant companionship. Foster mom works but luckily someone stops in to care for K during the day.  K will eat hard food but doesn't have the drive for water, so she is fed mush (often by the spoon) to make sure she gets hydrated.  Handling her bathroom needs involves gentle expressions, a routine that K takes in stride. This may seem like a lot, but the reward is immeasurable – the sheer happiness and joy that K brings to every moment. In terms of life expectancy, K's story aligns with another dog adopted out six years ago with similar conditions, who is still thriving today. While the duration of any dog's life is uncertain, what truly matters is the love and cherishment they receive during their time. For those willing to embrace the uniqueness of caring for a special needs pup and provide a loving home, the adoption fee is waived for the right match. Brie is a charming canine companion, characterized by her laid-back demeanor and love for leisure. While she may not be a morning enthusiast, her playful side emerges when the mood strikes, making her a delightful playmate. Brie's unique story adds a layer of depth to her character. Unfortunately, her owner has passed away, and now Brie is seeking a new loving home. This adorable Frenchie is a social butterfly with other animals, displaying a non-dominant and friendly attitude. She's currently in the process of learning crate and house training, showcasing her adaptability and willingness to learn. Brie has been spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.  One of Brie's endearing quirks is her preference for sleeping on your bed, where she can unleash her impressive snoring talents. Despite the noise, her comforting presence is sure to bring joy and warmth to your nights. If you're looking for a sweet, easygoing, and affectionate furry friend, Brie might be the perfect addition to your home. Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi! I’m Mía! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I am a very pretty girl. HOW OLD ARE YOU? I was born on March 21, 2022! WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I am a French bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I weigh 24 pounds! WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a blue merle, so my coat is swirl of grey and white! My beautiful hazel eyes are quite mesmerizing, but my main showstopper is my adorable floppy left ear! WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love food and would eat anything I'm given. However, I have some allergies to chicken and other poultry products. My favorite treats are salmon bites my foster mom gives me! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am perky and energetic! I love to chew on my squeaky toys or be cuddled while getting a belly rub. I love love LOVE being with my humans! But my most favorite thing to do is steal toys and play catch me if you can! DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: My perfect day is eat, play, sleep, cuddle on repeat! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? My favorite toys are the ones I steal from others! Especially the rubber spikey kong balls, squeaky toys, or the Benebones! DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I know "sit" so far! And I know to go to my crate when it's time to eat or sleep. WHAT SCARES YOU? I have a case of FOMO (fear of missing out) but that's about all so far. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? Yes, I've only met older kids so far (9+ years old). I like that they give me a lot of attention and love to play with me and my toys! DO YOU LIKE CATS? I haven't met a cat. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? I like them a lot, big or small! Especially playing keep away with toys! It's my favorite game! Though since I can be a toy hog, slow introductions are important. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? I love to be with my humans getting attention or just cuddling on the couch. When it's warm out, I do love sunbathing! HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? I’m an IVDD survivor! I have recovered amazingly from surgery and just have a little wobble when I walk. So I use soft stairs to go up and down the couch, and I avoid hard stairs. Did I mention I'm allergic to poultry? Typical Frenchie right? WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom, foster grandma, and five other dogs! There are two large Cane Corsos, two other frenchies (Peru and Billy), and something called a "chiwhatwhat.” I'm closest to my foster mom because she took such good care of me while I healed, but also because she's my snack supplier. Though, I have a little crush on Peru and like stealing his toys to make him chase me. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang in my x-pen area or an extra large crate. I have enough room to stretch my legs WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? Same as my hangout area. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? I’m pretty great on leash and love going on walks and adventures! Though my walks aren't very long just yet since I'm slowly building up my muscles and stamina. DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? Well, I guess stealing toys is frowned upon by some when I get overzealous about it. So toys have been a slow introduction when in shared spaces. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? I use a doggy door with confidence if I have access to it! Though if there's a potty pad in my x-pen, I'll use that too. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I LOVE to slurp it, not sure how I would feel about a splash pad on a hot day, but I’m willing to try it out when the weather warms up! No swimming pools for me. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? They make me feel safe and loved, and give me so many toys to play with! WHAT WAS YOUR LIFE LIKE BEFORE BEING BROUGHT INTO NORCAL BULLY BREED RESCUED? Well, I was used for breeding, then given up when it took a toll on my body. The vet hospital that did my surgery contacted NorCal Bully Breed Rescue to help me find a loving home. Now that I’m all healed up, I am ready to spend the rest of my fabulous life being loved and cuddled and playing and going on walks. And did I mention love? I would LOVE to love you forever if you give me a chance! **MIA'S ADOPTION FEE IS $ 750.** If you are interested in adopting MIA, please jump on our website and fill out an adoption application - www.norcalbullybreedrescue.org For information on why our Bulldog fees are set as they are, please click on the following link: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=5004742079644959&id=333019703483910&mibextid=qC1gEa At this time, we are asking for adopters to be in the Sacramento and IMMEDIATE surrounding areas (which means Sacramento County, parts of El Dorado County and parts of Placer County). Story
WHAT IS YOUR NAME? Hi, I’m Eleanor! ARE YOU A BOY OR A GIRL? I’m a darling little girl. HOW OLD ARE YOU? Great question! The best estimate I’ve been given is that I am between one and two years old as of the end of 2025. WHAT BREED ARE YOU? I'm a French Bulldog. HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH? I'm a petite, perfectly-proportioned, 14 pounds. WHAT DO YOU LOOK LIKE? I am a stocky little tri-colored potato with huge ears, an adorable underbite, and a darling tongue that is sticking out of my mouth a teensy bit most of the time. WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO EAT? I love my kibble and have just discovered the most AMAZING delicacy… mini marshmallows! Yummy! WHAT KIND OF PERSONALITY DO YOU HAVE? I am the sweetest little nugget. My preferred position is snuggled up with a human, seconded by playing with a doggy friend. I want to please and am enjoying learning new things. DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY: I wake up and do a biiiiiig stretch before I head outside for potty time. I spend a good portion of the day napping with a human while they work from home or playing with my dog friends. After dinner, I love to play ball or just run around with the other dogs in the yard. Then it’s sleepy time after a very fun day! WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TOY? I’m just getting used to playing with toys. My favorites so far are chew toys, like Benebones. DO YOU KNOW ANY TRICKS? I am a work in progress now that I’m safe in my foster home. No one in my past spent the time to teach me anything, but, hey, if you’re willing to hand over a few of those tasty marshmallows, I’d be up for some training time! Let’s have some fun! WHAT SCARES YOU? I’m a pretty brave little girl. I haven’t found anything scary since I’ve been safe in foster care. HAVE YOU BEEN AROUND CHILDREN? I love everyone! I have been around older kids and I love the attention they give me. DO YOU LIKE CATS? I do! I think they see me as one of their own because I’m just their size. HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT OTHER DOGS? Yes! I get along great with the resident dogs at my foster home. IF YOU COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD, WHERE WOULD IT BE? Snuggled up with a human, snoring! Either in the sun or under a blanket, dealer’s choice there. HOW IS YOUR HEALTH? Now that NorCal Bully Breed Rescue has taken such great care of me, I am in perfect health. WHO DO YOU LIVE WITH IN YOUR FOSTER HOME AND WHO IS YOUR CLOSEST COMPANION? I live with my foster mom and her two sons, age 10 and 15. There are also two resident dogs, two cats, a tortoise and six chickens. I spend the most time with my foster mom since she works from home, but I really love to play with everyone else outside in the yard. WHERE DO YOU HANG OUT WHEN YOU ARE HOME ALONE? I hang out in my crate. It’s a safe place and the resident dogs have crates right next to mine so I am not alone. WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? At bedtime I sleep in my crate. During the day, I sleep on the couch, on the chair, in the sun, on the other dogs… I really excel at naps. DO YOU LIKE WALKING ON A LEASH? It is still new to me, but I love to smell all the smells, hear all the sounds, and see all the things, so let’s go!! DO YOU HAVE ANY “NOT SO GREAT” HABITS THAT WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT? Not really. I do take a little time to warm up to new dogs and am not shy about telling them to give me space. That’s not really a bad habit, though, it’s just me setting healthy boundaries. ARE YOU HOUSE TRAINED (DO YOU GO POTTY OUTSIDE)? Yes! I have been a very good girl, and I even potty outside when it is RAINING! Foster mom was proud of me for being so brave. DO YOU LIKE WATER? I don’t hate the rain, don’t love the bath (who does, right?), and am a Frenchie who should not be partaking in water sports to keep me safe. Hmm…that’s about all I’ve got on the topic of water. WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR FOSTER FAMILY? I love that I am safe and have friends and toys! I love that I get so much attention. Feeling like part of the family has been wonderful. IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO TELL YOUR FUTURE ADOPTER? I’m SO ready to start the next phase of my life with my forever family! Let’s do this!
