Story
Behaviors observed by this animal leads us to state the following:Buzz is a small Frenchie mix with a big heart hidden beneath layers of fear and uncertainty. Life hasn’t always been kind to this sweet boy, and as a result, he startles easily—loud noises, sudden movements, or unfamiliar environments can leave him trembling. But behind those wide, worried eyes is a gentle, sensitive spirit just waiting for the right person to help him heal. Buzz takes his time when it comes to trust. He’s not the type to run up and greet you at the door—but give him time, patience, and space, and he’ll quietly start to show you how much he wants to be loved. Each small step he takes toward connection is a victory, and you’ll feel proud watching him grow a little braver every day. He’s looking for a calm, quiet home with someone who understands that healing isn’t linear. Buzz doesn’t need grand gestures—just consistency, compassion, and a whole lot of patience. He may never be the life of the party, but in the right home, he will be someone’s loyal, loving shadow. Are you the kind soul who can give Buzz the steady, safe world he’s never had? He may take a while to warm up, but once he does, your bond will be one of quiet understanding and deep trust. Children Recommendation: Adults Only Personality Traits: Knows Sit Knows Shake Knows Wait Treat Motivated Easy Going**If you are interested in this animal, please contact 209-831-6364 for further information****If you are interested in this animal, please contact a 501c3 Non-Profit Animal Rescue to help facilitate an adoption**

Story
Hi! My name is Loki! I’m a darling brown brindle French Bulldog, approximately 2 yr of age and 30 lbs. My foster Mom says I’m a bundle of fun! I love all people and every dog I meet, so it’s pretty hard not to love me! I get so excited that my usual greeting is some pretty impressive jumping (my foster Mom says it’s not good for me to do that so I’m learning to control myself, but it’s hard)! I’m a happy, friendly, active boy and I keep busy just being busy. Whether exploring the yard/house, playing with toys, or my favorite thing which is playing with my doggie friends, you will find me doing something all the time. I’m always ready to go with you and down for doing anything fun. I’m crate trained and sleep quietly through the night (after some bone chewing). I'm housetrained I’m good on leash (although I need reminders not to pull) and I love going on my daily walks. I’m such a ‘people dog’ and really just love being with my humans… belly rubs are a major plus!! My favorite thing is playing with other doggie friends. I’m good with dogs of all sizes as long as they can handle my exuberance and play style. My ideal home will have another young dog to match my energy and play. I have no experience with kids and due to my exuberance and mouthy play my new home should not have children under 7 yrs of age. Although I’m a very healthy boy (per my veterinarian) my breed comes with certain predisposed medical issues so my new family should be well aware of these issues and the costs involved with owning my breed. My adoption fee is reflective of the high costs of neutering this breed…adoption fees include health examination, current basic vaccinations, neuter, microchip, flea and deworming treatment along with any other medical/dental deemed necessary by our veterinarian.

Story
**Big Tank is currently in boarding (through no fault of his own) and needs a foster or adopter as soon as possible! All Better World Rescue intake is closed until we can get Big Tank out of boarding** Meet Tank, a short, squishy-faced senior bulldog mix with a heart as big as his adorable blocky head. He’s a low-energy sweetheart who loves nothing more than curling up on the couch, taking naps, and soaking up all the affection he can get. Tank adores people—every single one of them—and he does the cutest little tippy tappies when he sees you have treats. He’s also wonderful with kids and would make a loving, gentle companion for a family. Tank prefers not to share his space with large dogs, though he may do well with small dogs after a slow introduction, and he may also be okay with dog-savvy cats. He rides calmly in the car and is about as easygoing as they come. He has been let down more times than any dog should endure. Tank was first placed on the euthanasia list at Manteca Shelter, then adopted, then rehomed, and eventually ended up at Stanislaus Shelter, where he again faced euthanasia. He went to a foster home but recently lost that placement through no fault of his own due to landlord issues, and he is now in boarding. Through every setback, Tank has remained gentle, loving, and hopeful. He’s ready for a calm, caring home where he can finally enjoy the stability and love he deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal couch buddy and a sweet senior who will make your home warmer just by being in it, Tank is ready to meet you. All Better World Rescue dogs qualify for complimentary private and/or group training to help ensure a successful adoption. Tank is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you would like to meet Tank to see if he is a good fit for your family, please fill out our adoption application: www.betterworldrescue.org/adoption-application Upon receipt of your application, one of our passionate volunteers will reach out within one business day to answer any questions and schedule a meet & greet. If you are interested in fostering Tank, please fill out this application instead: www.betterworldrescue.org/foster-application
