This funny pup is named Theodore. He was born 1/2/2025 and originally came to our shelter with 2 littermates. He looks to be a pug that got mixed up with a large breed dog - very unique and nothing we've seen before! He looks like someone hit the "randomizer" option when building this boy. :) He has grown to a hefty 45 lbs, but still remains quite short and stocky. We know someone's out there who would love to have a giant pug! He was adopted as a pup, and unfortunately didn't receive the proper housetraining required for a puppy, so he still is working on that. He is back with us due to his family not being able to provide the proper care and training, as they did not have the time. He spent all his alone time in a crate, so we hope to find a home where he doesn't have to be in one again, and he receives the attention he deserves. He has many good marks on his record that they learned while he was in their home - he is a lovely, social boy who gets along with everyone, and he has many good experiences playing with other dogs his size. He loves a good car ride, and he enjoys a little off-leash running time at the local dog park. He is great on leash for walks as well. His favorite activities include playing fetch, snuggling with his people, and playing with rope toys. Though his training isn't complete, he has been taught commands such as "sit," "lie down," and "paw." $350.00 adoption fee for this great boy. He is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. Courtesy post Meet Rolo. He is a 12 week old Pug who somehow ended up homeless. Luckily he was quickly placed with a foster to has children, dog and cat so he is well rounded little guy. He is a baby so a home with someone home during the day rather than being alone for 8 to 12 hours per day is very important. Rolo is neutered and has had 2 vaccines. He is on his way to being fully crate trained and is doing great on the potty training. His new family will need to be able and willing to continue with his training. Dynamic Danny is a sweet and charming one-year-old Pug mix, who is eager to find his forever home. He is the sweetest boy with lots of love to give. Weighing about 14 pounds, he has a tan coat mostly smooth coat that should be easy to care for. Rescued out in the country along with three other dogs—believed to include his mom, Daisy, a French Bulldog/Pug mix, and some siblings from different litters—Danny is a bit shy at first but warms up quickly and enjoys the company of people. He gets along well with other dogs and is in the process of learning leash manners and house training, making good progress with routines like “go potty” and using the doggie door. Danny is scheduled to be neutered soon but is available for adoption now; he is microchipped and vaccinated. We’re looking for a home with breed experience and to help continue his training and socialization. Demi is the Buddha of all dogs. She is calm, grounded, gentle and extremely loving to humans and dogs of all sizes and ages. Demi currently lives with cats but would need further training to co-exist with small animals. She is housebroken, crate trained, is comfortable navigating all stairs, doesn't bark, doesn't jump up and is not interested in much physical exercise. After all she has been through she has earned the right to lounge. Demi thrives on affection. She will lay her big head in your lap and just lean in and soak up all the attention. She also loves to slump over and lay belly up for a good tummy rub. She is mouth gentle but cherishes her food so should always be fed separate as a precaution. Demi has completed entropion surgery to help with her sight, but she will need a pat of dry eye ointment in each eye two times a day forevermore to continue being the brown eyed beauty she is. She is an angel and just sits patiently while you tend to her. Demi was also suffering chronic, untreated ear infections before coming into rescue care and is receiving Teca-bo surgery to address this, which leaves her deaf in one ear. Demi truly makes owning a dog easy. She's great for a laidback lifestyle and also for a first time dog owner. Meet Tank, a short, squishy-faced senior bulldog mix with a heart as big as his adorable blocky head. He’s a low-energy sweetheart who loves nothing more than curling up on the couch, taking naps, and soaking up all the affection he can get. Tank adores people—every single one of them—and he does the cutest little tippy tappies when he sees you have treats. He’s also wonderful with kids and would make a loving, gentle companion for a family. Tank prefers not to share his space with large dogs, though he may do well with small dogs after a slow introduction, and he may also be okay with dog-savvy cats. He rides calmly in the car and is about as easygoing as they come. He has been let down more times than any dog should endure. Tank was first placed on the euthanasia list at Manteca Shelter, then adopted, then rehomed, and eventually ended up at Stanislaus Shelter, where he again faced euthanasia. He is currently flourishing in a loving foster home. Through every setback, Tank has remained gentle, loving, and hopeful. He’s ready for a calm, caring home where he can finally enjoy the stability and love he deserves.
