You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Spunky Frenchie!Meet Eloise – A Petite Pup with a Giant Heart! Age: 3 years | Weight: 24 lbs | Breed: French Bulldog | Spayed Say hello to Eloise, a 3-year-old French Bulldog with a heart full of love and a face full of personality. This darling girl is looking for a forever home where she can be the center of your universe—she prefers to be your one and only furry companion. Eloise is all about the snuggles and sunshine. She adores belly rubs, gentle kisses on her smooshy face, and lounging in the warm rays of the sun. A backyard to call her own would be a dream come true—she loves to explore and chase after squirrels and birds with joyful determination. While she came to us with some medical needs, we're helping her get the care she deserves. Eloise will need continued support for her skin issues and her recent Cherry eye surgery was a great success! She’s incredibly resilient and has so much love to give in return for a little extra TLC. Because of her sensitive nature, Eloise will thrive in a calm, quiet home with adults or older children, and no other pets. She’s longing for someone with a big heart and a cozy lap to help her blossom. Could you be the one to give Eloise the happy, healthy future she deserves?    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 14, 2025, 7:31 pm

Story
Koda  is recovering from a difficult past and a recent ear surgery, but you’d never know it from his spirit. He’s an incredibly sweet, outgoing, and friendly dog who gets along well with kids, cats, and dogs of all sizes. Koda  loves to play with toys and fetch them!   He also loves zoomies with his foster siblings.  He currently lives with two large pit mixes and a poodle mix, and he loves playing with all of them, being particularly skilled at matching their play style and energy.   Energy Level?  Not very high  House trained?  Working on it  Describe how they are on a leash?  Easy, he's a great walker. Describe how they are with other dogs?  Great! Have they been around cats or other animals? How were they?  He has not lived with cats but he has met a dog savvy cat and did fine.  Commands they know?  Sit, and he is good with name recall  What are their favorite things?  Snuggles, toys, and friends  What do they need to work on?  Potty training-We are being patient, but French Bulldogs are known to be challenging with potty training, but he will get there! How are they when left alone? How long have they been left alone?  He stays in his crate when not supervised.  Longest alone has been 4 hours.  Where do they sleep?  In bed  What is their ideal home?   Koda ’s ideal home would be one that can provide lots of love and attention to this super special pup.  He loves to snuggle his humans.  He is quite the couch potato and would stay there all day if he could.  But, just as much as he loves a good cuddle, he also loves to play with his foster brothers and sisters and go on little strolls through the neighborhood.  He really is an easy-going guy.  The ideal home would also understand that Frenchies do require a bit of extra care and is willing to offer that. Koda's Adoption fee is $525.   For adoption consideration or to meet our dogs , please complete our online adoption application at  www.everypetsdream.org/adopt . Story
Coach is a 1 year old bulldog mix who came into the shelter with a recent history of rectal prolapse, repaired with a local emergency room partner. As of 12/9/25, he has had another rectal prolapse. He has had intermitten diarrhea in shelter, which can worsen risk of prolpase. Prolapse can occur from straining due to diarrhea or other causes of increased abdominal pressure (breed related respiratory changes). He has received metronidazole, propectalin, proviable probiotics - we are now trialing hydrolyzed diet and psyllium husk, as well as ongoing probiotics. Stress of sheltering can worsen diarrhea. Due to recurrent rectal prolapse, Coach is in need of rescue as stress of shelter is not helping his medical condition.

Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, December 13th from 12-3pm unless adopted prior to the event. To be considered for adoption, pls submit an application in advance.   Adoption fee: $650 Meet Elf, a 2–3 year old Frenchie/Pug mix weighing about 23 lbs, who is equal parts soulful companion and laid-back couch buddy. Elf has a wonderfully predictable routine that makes him easy to live with, paired with a deeply affectionate nature once he feels safe and settled.   Elf usually wakes up between 7:30–8:00 am, though he’s flexible— he’s happy to sleep in with you or start the day a bit earlier if that’s your routine. Despite going to bed early, he never wakes his people up. In fact, you’ll have to start getting out of bed before he even considers following you. Evenings are his favorite time of day. Around 8:30–9:00 pm, he’s officially “done” and will gently try to convince you to sit on the couch so he can begin his very serious bedtime ritual of snuggling next to you. If you’re busy, he’ll sigh internally and settle down on his own without complaint.   Elf loves sleeping next to his people—ideally close, preferably near your head. When he first arrived, he slept on the couch, but once he felt comfortable and decided he belonged, he confidently joined the family bed. No objections accepted. On weekends, after greeting everyone with kisses, he sprawls out, claims his space, and offers his belly as tribute.   During the week, mornings start with a walk followed by breakfast. Elf enjoys taking his time outside— his potty routine is unhurried and exploratory— so walks are usually 30–40 minutes long. The upside? After that, he’s perfectly content without another walk until the evening. He is fully housetrained and very reliable in that department.   Elf spends most of his day snoozing in his bed or on the couch. He’s not especially playful, but he will occasionally make a few lazy attempts to engage. He enjoys puzzle toys, sniffing mats, and anything involving food. Chewing on bones or pig ears is one of his favorite pastimes. He may briefly follow you into the kitchen to investigate, but once he realizes food isn’t on the menu, he retreats to resume resting.   Elf can stay home alone for about 8–9 hours. Like many dogs, he has good days and bored days. On the bored days, he may express himself by relocating shoes, dismantling empty Amazon boxes, or placing pillows artistically on the floor. Other days, he keeps things tidy.   Evenings include another walk, dinner, and then winding down for the night. Elf is calm indoors but surprisingly energetic outside. He loves long walks and is endlessly curious about the world, stopping to sniff everything along the way. On leash, he doesn’t pull, though he may get excited if he sees another dog. Redirecting him is easy, and he follows guidance well. He’s very food-motivated and shows clear potential for training, especially with positive reinforcement.   When Elf first arrived, he was frightened and unsure, trying to escape and clearly overwhelmed by change. Within a few days, he chose his person and settled in beautifully. Now, it feels like he’s always been part of the family. He isn’t a velcro dog, but he likes to check in— especially if you head to the bedroom or kitchen— before returning to his favorite resting spot.   Elf is an exceptional cuddler. Once you’re on the couch, you belong to him. He’s deeply trusting with his people and feels safe enough to fully relax. If someone knocks on the door while he’s cuddled with a family member, he often doesn’t even bother barking.   He does take a little time to warm up to strangers. With new people, he may be cautious at first, quietly observing until he feels comfortable. Given a bit of patience and space, he adjusts well and shows his sweet, affectionate nature.   Elf is great with kids. He doesn’t jump on them unless invited and is especially gentle. He tolerates bigger kids picking him up and carrying him from room to room.   Elf occasionally barks if someone is at the door, but overall he’s a quiet, calm presence in the home. He snores a bit when first falling asleep— a charming Frenchie trait future adopters should be prepared for.   Elf is incredibly loving and bonds quickly. His world revolves around a small number of things: his person, food, bones, and walks— with you always coming first. He can be a little jealous and may try to insert himself between people during hugs, so continued training and structure will help him thrive. Thankfully, he’s highly food-motivated and eager to learn.     A fun fact about Elf: during one of his bored moments, he repeatedly chose a math notebook as his target for destruction— twice. After that, he never touched it again. Clearly, he has strong feelings about math.   Elf is a lovebug through and through, and once he chooses you, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without him.December 14, 2025, 4:46 pm

Story
Linus is part of Charlie Brown Litter. Holly mom is French Bull Dog /Boston Terrier mix. 2/16/24 DNA test results: Dad was a Cattle Dog 40% and 9% Border Collie. They should be medium size adults and smart. Holly was abandoned at a distant shelter and was very pregnant. Linus' DOB: 12/1/23. Once we rescued Holly and she arrived at her foster home within 2 hours she went into labor and gave birth to 5 puppies. 2 girls and 3 boys. Whew! Just in time. All the pups and mom did great at their foster home. Home raised healthy lovable and social. The 5 pups are now learning at their next foster home for puppy training. All are playful snuggly and lovable. We do not know what they are mixed with. They seem larger than Frenchie pups and have tails. We will start to review applications Jan 20th. Puppies will be 8 weeks old on Jan. 27th and will get their first vaccinations and deworm. Need home with attached backyard. More info. to come on each puppy's personality. 1/24/24 Update: The 3 boys are fairly similar all playful and slower than the girls. Linus and Snoopy are a little more timid but get more playful when riled up by Brody. All love attention and to be held. They all did very well getting their first shots and these puppies are extremely smart and well behaved for such young puppies. They are learning sit and not to bite and are all doing very very well. They will make wonderful family pets for someone. Their temperament is fantastic gentle playful and sweet. 2/9/24 Update 10 weeks old: Patty is definitely the smallest with smallest paws. Snoopy and Linus are about the same size 12 pounds and Patty is 10 lbs.. I think they will be medium sized dogs. Snoopy and Linus are slower and calmer. Patty is spunky and more independent and curious and a little more Frenchie personality . All learning crate training. Few accidents on pee pads now. They will hold to go out to backyard for potty biz. 3/1/25 Update: Linus is older kid friendly. He loves to get cuddles and loves belly rubs. He poops and pees in backyard. He likes to play with his brother Charlie. They enjoy running and playing with each other. He likes to go for a walk. He is trained to be in a crate to sleep. Able to understand instructions: come sit walk wait walk with me. In English and Hindi. Linus loves all varieties of dog friendly fruits and vegetables. Loves long drives. Basically he just loves to stay with family. Need experienced guardian to guide him. 5/2/25 Update: Linus needs and wants routine home. He gets very nervous with change. At his foster boarding home and trainer after a day or two he is great with large dogs and they run/play. However he is reactive to new incoming dogs into their home. He does fine on walks and did fine at our showcases with new people and other dogs. 7/11/25 Update: Linus needs a new foster home due to previous foster home's travels. He is now in a boarding/training foster home as we search for adopter or foster to adopter. He is smart and learning all commands. He is social friendly and great with all dogs and people. Lovable and very sweet once he adjusts. Loves running and playing with the adult big dogs and teen pups. Prefers to have someone around. Did great with vet exam and everyone adores him. CATS: Tama vet has an office cat that has walked around him and he didn’t seem to care.September 8, 2025, 12:37 am

Story
Adopt Barbie! Hi, I’m Barbie! The vet thinks I’m about 4 y/o. I am a vocal high-energy 17lb. Frenchie with separation anxiety. I had a neglectful past and suffered from Demodex mange and lost almost all my fur, but look at me now! Due to abandonment issues, I need someone that works from home or can take me to work. It’s not enough that I see you. I am ok to be crated for a few hours. I need a house with a fenced in yard (no apartments as I have a very loud voice), another non-dominant dog companion to cuddle and play with, and absolutely no cats! I will say that even with a sibling, you will be my main focus as I would like to be your shadow, run all your errands with you, and nibble on your fingers and toes (I’m very gentle). I am spayed, love all toys, car rides, to be pet and loved, and am food/treat motivated. Potty training has gone well. If you think I could make a great addition to your family, please apply to adopt me! A breed savvy person would be best for me. Frenchies have a lot of issues and my anxiety is one of them! I love to be with you and I want somebody that has time for me. I will be your best pal! Located in El Sobrante caSeptember 2, 2025, 9:02 am
