I ran after the truck to catch up with my people, but I couldn't catch up, so I stayed on the road, not knowing what to do next. The experience had me so frantic, I was running back and forth. I just couldn't believe what had happened to me. Fortunately a lovely lady witnessed this and came to my rescue and took me to her house. She also took me to the vet to get me fully vaccinated, spayed and tested for heartworm (fortunately negative). I was on my best behaviour at the vet and even did well with the car ride. I love to run with the big dogs and adore all people, including older kids. Very small kids and cats would not be good combinations, just because I would be too energetic for them or might want to chase cats - seems like a fun game! I am also house and kennel trained and walk well on leash. My foster has been teaching me commands like 'sit' using food, which is a great motivator for me. As a clever girl, I tend to get a bit bored easily, so I will adore a household with people I can interact with. Abandoned for not meeting the standards of being a purebred German Shepherd they thought I was. Isn't that ridiculous?My journey led me to a busy highway here in Lebanon. Shops on the side of the highway saw me and feared for my safety and the safety of the cars getting into an accident. So my rescuers received an urgent call to come get me. They immediately came and rescued me, having to navigate the chaos of the highway to collect me.With gentle hands and soothing words, they picked me up, holding me in their arms. Such a relief that was. As they took me away to safety, my heart was filled with gratitude for the second chance I'd been given.In the days that followed, I found peace in their care. Despite the feelings of abandonment, I began to trust once more, my trust slowly restored with each passing day.I am good with other dogs. Running and playing is a blast. I also love to run while I'm on leash whenever I see rabbits or squirrels but again, I'm not really a hunter so it's likely just the game of chase that interests me.
