Meet Elvira, our ghostly gorgeous Shepherd- Husky lady with a heart as big as a full moon and a howl that'll haunt your heart. Loyal and unflappable Elvira has a playful sparkle in her eye but prefers laid-back broom rides (or car rides, we suppose) to high-speed zoomies. She's the perfect mix of mysterious and mellow, with a soft fluffy coat made for midnight cuddles. She is as gentle as dogs can be. Elvira loves people more than a vampire loves a blackout curtain, and she's been known to cast a charm on everyone she meets. Whether it's spooky season or any season, she's ready to be your loyal familiar, your couch companion, and your moonlit shadow. Elivra does well around other dogs and would do well as either a solo pup or with doggy siblings. We are confident that Elvira will make an excellent addition to any home. Miss Elvira joined us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services. Due to her senior status, they felt she would do best to find her forever family with a senior focused rescue.

Her frame is bony under her fur, ribs are somewhat visible, more than they should be, her belly sags from nursing puppies we’ve never met… but we know she gave them everything she had. Needless to say, she deserves far better her next go around. Bebe is a beautiful 3-year-old rescue who is embracing her new life as an indoor family pet after spending her early years outdoors. Estimated to have been born in early March 2022, she was found tied to a park bench by Animal Control officers who immediately recognized her potential. Today, this sweet girl is making incredible progress in her foster home and is eager to find a loving forever family. Bebe is already housebroken and is learning to use a crate. At night, she sleeps peacefully on a bed next to her foster mom. She’s a well-mannered girl—she doesn’t dig or bark but occasionally enjoys a good chew, so she’ll want a toy or two to keep her entertained. One of Bebe’s favorite activities is going on neighborhood walks, where her curious nature shines. She alerts to deer, birds, and squirrels but isn’t overly reactive. She also attends doggy daycare and gets along wonderfully with all the dogs in her playgroup! While we don’t know how she is around cats, her moderate prey drive suggests she’d need careful introductions. Because Bebe spent her early life without much human interaction or training, she’s still learning the basics. But she’s a blank slate, eager to learn, and food-motivated when high-value treats are involved! She’s already making amazing strides in trusting people and is becoming more affectionate each day in her foster home.
