Story
Ranger is a 1 year and 3 month old purebred German Shepherd (born October 28, 2024). We got him from a breeder in Florida and have had him since he was eight weeks old. He is a typical shepherd, loyal, follows you around the house, loves playing ball, and loves swimming. Ranger would do best with a calm, confident, experienced handler who can continue building his confidence and provide clear boundaries. He is not a good fit for a home with young children, and would thrive with a single person, a couple, or teens who understand respecting a dogs space. He has worked with a professional trainer since puppyhood, and his trainer will help vet adopters and provide two free sessions to support a smooth transition. Ranger is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, on heartworm prevention, and intact to support his growth. We love Ranger and want to find him the right home where he can truly thrive. Adjectives: loyal, intelligent, goofy, playful, energetic, athletic

Story
Hi-My name is Oliver.I LIKE: treats more than toys but I love to play (especially with the water hose)!I KNOW: I need to work on my leash skills but the volunteers say I am improving. They recommend a harness when we go for a walk so our time together will be more enjoyable. I also know Sit, Paw, Down and can catch treats midair. I like to talk to other dogs so apartment living would not be ideal.***An adopter with big dog experience would be a good fit for this big guy.*** IF YOU`RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE: to join you on an adventure, I`m always ready, let`s go!I AM SPECIAL BECAUSE: sometimes I act silly just to make you laugh.

Story
ASPEN IS ALL EARS! 🐾 ADOPT ME Meet Aspen, an extraordinarily handsome 3-year-old all-white Shepherd mix who is waiting for his forever family! At 70 lbs, he’s a big guy with an even bigger heart. 🤍 Why you’ll fall in love with Aspen: • A Total Goofball: He’s sweet, trusting, and guaranteed to make you smile every single day. • The Perfect "White Shadow": Whether you’re chilling at a coffee shop, or running errands, Aspen is right by your side. • Social Butterfly: He thrives with other dogs and would LOVE a doggy sibling to play and burn off energy with. 🐕 • Smart & Gentle: He walks beautifully on a leash and loves learning new tricks. His Ideal Home: Aspen does great with big dogs, small dogs, and older kids (14+). Because he can get a little "zoomie-happy" and his breed is a little mouthy when playing he forgets his size, a home without small children is best. Ready to meet your new best friend? 🖤 Contact SafePawsRescue.com Our adoption process includes a home visit and veterinarian and/or personal check. Safe Paws Rescue is a small rescue in St. Petersburg, FL so we accept inquiries from residents in Pinellas County only, please. Story
June is a beloved member of our family who we sadly have to find a new home due to family medical reasons. She is a sweet girl, loves all things human and animal alike. She is fully housebroken (NEVER makes a mess), listens to basic commands, and for being almost 7 has great energy. She is very healthy as well. We are sad we have to rehome her but know she will be a great addition to a loving family.

Story
Spay/Neuter of dog is scheduled at a vet of our choosing and is part of the adoption fee - date will be on the adoption contract - this is if not already sterilized.   We take the dogs that are adopted down...so if a dog is on the website they are available. Obedience training and fully fenced in yard is required for all our pups.   Completion certificate for training needs to be emailed once complete.  When applying pictures/videos of your fully enclosed yard is needed. Please only send inquiries to the email in this bio all others will not be answered. Please read the bio before sending questions - we answer all we know about the dog here. If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com   MEET STORMIE  Looking for a smart, loving best friend with a built-in smile? Stormie might be your girl! Stormie is a 10-month-old female German Shepherd who found her way to Heidi’s Rescue after her original owner realized puppy life wasn’t the right fit. She arrived very underweight, but thanks to her love of treats (and her talent for learning tricks), she’s doing amazing and thriving in foster care.  She’s a “pocket” GSD and will likely top out around 50 lbs—perfect if you love shepherds but don’t want a giant one. Stormy is extremely smart, a fast learner, and can pick up new tricks in minutes, especially if snacks or playtime are involved. Despite being a puppy, she’s refreshingly easy:  Sleeps through the night  Loves her crate (it’s her safe place!)  Moderate energy—two walks a day + mental stimulation and she’s happy  Can entertain herself when needed Stormie is affectionate, joyful, and truly lights up a room with her smile. Her favorite things are pets from her person and playing throw (she’s still working on the “bring it back” part ). Important info for the right match:  Not a fan of other dogs in home  Prefers being fed in her crate due to past food insecurity  Not suitable for homes with cats or very small children (she loves to chase!)  Would do well with older, respectful kids who enjoy snuggles Stormie would thrive with a family experienced with working breeds who can offer structure, consistency, and love—the things she’s been missing and absolutely deserves. She’s a happy little ray of sunshine ready to bond deeply with her person.  Could Stormie be the one to light up your life?  Stormie's adoption fee is $500 -  Obedience training after adoption and fully fenced in yard is required for all our pups To apply to foster or adopt please fill out application at www.heidislegacydogrescue.com/apply-to-foster-or-adopt Thank you for completing the application.
