Story
Hi there, friends—my name is Winter, and I’m a four-year-old girl with warm brown eyes and a tail so perfectly curled, my foster family calls it a cinnamon roll! 🍥 My story? It’s a bit bittersweet. I was very loved by my human, but when he passed away, my whole world turned upside down. I lost the only home I’d ever known, and it broke my heart. I stopped eating and didn’t know how to feel safe again. But then something beautiful happened—a foster family took me in and has been giving me all the patience, love, and understanding I need to find myself again. I’m housebroken, crate trained, and on the smaller side for a Husky mix (so I fit just right on the couch next to you). Every morning, I greet my foster family with a big smile and a toy in my mouth—because I’m finally happy to wake up in a home where I feel safe. I absolutely love toys… and having my very own people again. I live with other dogs and do great with them now, though I was a bit protective of my crate in the beginning (can you blame me?). I also live with children, and while I adore them, I’m still learning my manners, so a home without small kiddos would be best for me while I continue to grow. I’m a good listener, but hey—I’m not perfect! I’m working on keeping my paws off counters and learning that not every stranger is a threat. I take my job of protecting my people very seriously. Once you’re "family-approved," though? I’ll show you my sweet side, complete with my pearly smile and all the love in my heart. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend with a gentle soul, a goofy grin, and a deep appreciation for second chances—I’m your girl. I may have been broken once, but I’m healing, and I’m ready to give my whole heart to someone who sees the magic in me. Will you be my forever?

Story
Hello! I'm Bella, a sweet 3-year-old Shepherd mix with a heart full of love. I'm searching for a forever home where I can have another furry friend to keep me company, so I never feel lonely again. My story is a difficult one. When my family decided to retire and live on a boat, my brother Marley and I no longer fit into their plans. Our owner announced that if no one took us by the time he reached his property, he would shoot us. With a gun in his possession, he was on his way to carry out this unimaginable act when, thankfully, our kind-hearted marina manager couldn't let that happen and called a loving couple who stepped in to save us. It's hard to believe that someone we trusted could consider such a fate for us. Marley and I were inseparable, and for a while, I couldn’t imagine life without him. But one day, his perfect family came along, and he found his forever home. I miss him dearly, but I know he’s happy. Now, it’s my turn to find a family who will love me just as much as he was loved. I've been spayed, I'm up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and housebroken, though I'm not crate trained. I get along well with other dogs and am very people-focused, though I'm not sure how I am around kids. I love going for walks and am very calm on the leash, even with distractions. I never pull at all. I'm a quick learner but need help with impulse control, as I can be a little squirrel-obsessed. I've been known to chase chickens, though I've never hurt one. Proper introduction to cats will be necessary. I'm sweet, playful, and eager to please my people. If you want a running partner, a dog to do agility, flyball, or other athletic activities, I'm your girl. I love having a job and light up when the trainer is working with me. At the end of the day, I turn into a couch potato who thinks she's a tiny lap dog. Despite everything, my spirit remains unbroken. If you're ready to give me the loving home I deserve, I'll be waiting with a wagging tail and an open heart. 🐾❤️

Story
Meet Teddy. Hi there, I’m Teddy — as cute as a button and ready for adventure! I’m a nature-loving pup who would make the perfect hiking buddy. I love to dig and nibble on plants, so I’ll need a watchful eye around anything toxic. I’m the sweetest cuddle bug around — I love giving kisses, snuggling up, and following my humans everywhere. I enjoy a good long nap but I also love to play with toys and chew on, well… everything (shoes included). I’m a big talker — I’ll yip, howl, and chatter until you scoop me up in your lap… then I turn into a total lovebug. Right now, I eat three times a day and I’m doing great with crate training at night (I usually just need one potty break). During the day, I still need frequent potty trips since I’m just a baby. I’m smart, eager to learn, and already picking up on “sit,” “stay,” and “come.” Best of all? I get along wonderfully with kids, dogs, and cats. Ready for adventure and snuggles? Because I am.
