Story
Dante is a 4 yearold pure bred german shepard that my ex wanted. Hes in the navy so he couldnt keep him so Dante came with me when I divorced. Dante has a loud bark but hes a sweetheart. He loves to play fetch and craves to be near you. Dante is a sweet boy but he does have his share of undesirable traits. Thanks to a unresponsible owner at the dog park poor Dante had been attacked, since then been a tad bit aggressive with his food/water and sometimes toys. I used to petsit so we had many dogs in and out the house and he was always good with them minus a growl/warning lung over some attempting to take his ball. Hes been trained extensively but hes stubborn and will attempt the trash if given an opportunity. He LOVES cats, too much actually. Obsessive enough to chase after them and whine when he cant get to them. So preferrably he should go to a home without cats unless they love dogs.Hes more of an inside dog as he hates the heat outside due to his coats.. unless its for fetch!

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Foster or Adopter Needed Rosie is an estimated 7-year-old, 42-lb. mixed breed female. Though we are not sure of her breed, we do know that she is a sweet and very smart girl. Rosie is cautious in new situations and will require a slow introduction to her new home and other dogs, but will warm up and smother you with kisses once she realizes she’s safe. She gets along with same size to smaller, low energy dogs, but becomes nervous around younger, larger active ones. She would also do well as on only dog as she prefers human company. Rosie has not been cat tested and because she prefers a quieter environment, a home without children is necessary. She is a little bit on the heavy side and could stand to lose a few pounds. Rosie is 100% housebroken and crate trained. Most of her day is spent lounging on her dog beds but she does look forward to her nightly walk around the neighborhood. She gets very excited when she sees her leash. She also likes to lay in the yard and watch the wildlife. She has shown no destructive behaviors as well as no food aggression. She takes treats very gently and is respectful to the other dogs in the house around food. She knows sit, down, stay, and is very responsive to verbal correction. She wants to please and be a perfect girl for you. Rosie also is a great car rider. She is overall quiet but she will bark when new people walk in the home but once they pet her she quiets down. If you are looking for a mellow, loyal companion and can provide a quiet, loving environment, then Rosie is your girl. Rosie is currently attending a board and train program to make her the best girl she can be; she will be available following her training and she will need a home where her family will continue her training at home. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Rosie, please complete and app and tell us about your family. September 15, 2024, 11:48 pm

Story
Hi there! I'm Bonnie, a mix of German Shepherd and Husky with the sweetest brown eyes you'll ever see. I'm making great progress with house-training and crate training—I've mastered eating in my crate and sleeping through the night like a pro. I absolutely love playing with other dogs and I'm super friendly. Walks are an adventure for me, and although I start with a lot of energy, I find my rhythm and enjoy the journey. I'm also very vocal and love to keep you entertained with my chatter. Kids are wonderful, and I have a big personality that shines through in everything I do. I adore cuddling with my human and bringing joy to their life. My enthusiasm is infectious, and I have a special knack for making people laugh. Let's keep working on my training together, and I'll continue being the lovable, energetic, and talkative pup that I am! Please read the requirements on our website www.huskyhavenfl.org/adopt to ensure you meet puppy criteria. The adoption fee is $500, which includes: Vaccines & boosters (our vet) Microchip Fecal test Spay Leash, collar, and HHOFL tag To apply: Pay the $25 here on our website or via Facebook DONATE button Send a screenshot of the $25 payment to our email huskyhavenfl@gmail.com Only then we will process the application. Please know the $25 application fee is NOT a guarantee and it's NOT refundable. Thank you for your understanding. We charge an application fee for puppies because people do not read the post and the criteria in its entirety. So instead of getting 100s of unqualified apps which our volunteers take lots of time to process, this would reduce the amount of those that are not unqualified. Thank you for your understanding.

Maxie is turning 5 y.o mixed German shep & lab and is very sweet and friendly dog and has lots of energy. She's also good with kids and other dogs. I got Maxie together with her sister Marsa from Save A life pet rescue, Inc last 2020 and wa s born 11/08/2019. Unfortunately I a have a 2 year old baby girl and has unresolved skin issues and we just found out that she has a severe allergies to dogs. And now it is sad to say that I need to let go of my dogs for the sake of my baby. I really hope that they can find a loving and safe home. This saddens us, but we need to prioritize my baby's health. Please help us find them a home.

Meet Sadie!  She is a 4-5 month old shepherd mixed puppy.  She was abandoned at a property, left behind when the tenants were evicted.  This sweet girl has wonderful manners and is a quiet and gentle puppy.  She is shy at first but extremely sweet and submissive.  Sadie just wants love and attention.  Sadie will be vaccinated this week and her spay will be scheduled once her adoption is finalized.  Her adopters MUST bring her to her spay appointment, no exceptions.  Adoption fee and contract required. Story
Sasha is being fostered in PA. Sasha needs to be an only dog. She does not like active dogs Sasha can ONLY be adopted to a home with older children or all adults. Sasha is NOT good with cats. Sasha is spayed. Christmas time is here, soon a new year will dawn, and I’m still patiently waiting for my furever home and that special family to give me lots of love and belly rubs. I enjoy walks and will do OK without a fenced yard if you take me out on walking adventures. If you have a fenced yard I will run and play with you. I just enjoy the company of peeps. I don’t care to be with other dogs, just be by myself with my humans. I am a good girl in the house…unless you leave tasty morsels of food on the counter. Then I may just have to help myself! I know Sit, Down, am learning Wait, but I don’t really want to wait, hee hee. I also do pretty well on a leash. I’m still working on some other things like no jumping up on my peeps. I just want to greet and say Hi and give kisses and hugs to my peeps. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
**EXTREMELY URGENT: MUST FIND PLACEMENT BY SEPTEMBER 30th** Jeffery is a 7-year-old, 78 lb, German Shepard looking for his forever family.  Jeffery is low energy and would love a family who will understand him and be willing to work with him while transitioning into an indoor dog life, he has lived his entire life outside in a pen. While he is a little anxious being out of his pen and in the world, he has shown no reactivity and just needs patience. Due to the limited history it is unknown if he is good around cats, dogs, or kids. In order to set him up for success, an experienced home with no kids or pets that is dedicated to helping him learn to socialize is needed. We would NOT be interested in placing Jeffrey in another outdoor living situation - at his age and with the weather in Florida, he deserves a roof over his head. We would be open to placement in a "shop dog" type scenario if he had a climate controlled shop/garage or barn to relax in and escape the elements.  Adoption requirements are as such: No other pets  No kids under 16 due to limited history Experience with undersocialzied/anxious pups Not a first time dog owner No apts/condos Experience with large dogs   Jeffrey has to find his new forever home because his owner passed away and he's currently being cared for by his owner's grandson. Please note, Jeffrey is part of Happy Trails Animal Rescue’s rehoming program. Information provided is based on their current guardian’s statements and limited interaction with volunteers. They are not under the care of the rescue. They are under the care of their current guardian. The owner is subject to placement outside of our organization. We cannot guarantee availability. Adoption fee WAIVED to an experienced home. ##1656808##
