Sasha is being fostered in PA. Sasha needs to be an only dog. She does not like active dogs Sasha can ONLY be adopted to a home with older children or all adults. Sasha is NOT good with cats. Sasha is spayed. Christmas time is here, soon a new year will dawn, and I’m still patiently waiting for my furever home and that special family to give me lots of love and belly rubs. I enjoy walks and will do OK without a fenced yard if you take me out on walking adventures. If you have a fenced yard I will run and play with you. I just enjoy the company of peeps. I don’t care to be with other dogs, just be by myself with my humans. I am a good girl in the house…unless you leave tasty morsels of food on the counter. Then I may just have to help myself! I know Sit, Down, am learning Wait, but I don’t really want to wait, hee hee. I also do pretty well on a leash. I’m still working on some other things like no jumping up on my peeps. I just want to greet and say Hi and give kisses and hugs to my peeps. BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Layla is a sweet, very playful 1 yr old, (11/29/24), weighing in at 60 lb on 1/2/26. She does follow some commands but, clever and often hard-headed to do this with consistency. My trainer is offering assistance to any new owner. She eats well between 5-6 pm. Started 2nd heat cycle on 1/4; spay appt tentatively scheduled for 2/18. Motivated by food. Enjoys toys but, must be sturdy! She is finally acclimated to life with my 7 year old unneutered 152 lb Presa canario and 37 lb 13 year old Terrier mix. This took 3 months. I have had both of mine since they were 8 weeks old. Both have a very calm temperament and were initially disrupted by her very playful behavior. However house training has improved much by a watchful eye on their behavior. She requires a lot of time and attention, particularly for me, being over 65 with a recent TKR. Want to avoid kill-sites; all no-kill facilities have been full for some time now. Hopefully a permanent home presents sooner than later.

Pluto was given to my youngest son as a gift from his aunt. His aunt has the mom, dad and brother, however, could not keep that many dogs in her house. Pluto is one year & a couple of months old. He was born February 26, 2025. Pluto is a in house dog who needs to go for good walks at least three times a day. We are looking for a home that has ample secure backyard space in the ability to handle his husky howling and need for attention. My son recently went off to college and was not able to take Pluto with him. Pluto is an energetic, loving, playful, mixed breed.

Meet Max! This handsome boy may be big but he is a huge lover. Max was pulled from the local shelter just hours before he was put to sleep. The shelter thought he had a foreign body, but turns out he had pneumonia. Though his story starts off sad we are hoping the rest of his years makes up for it. He has been being spoiled in foster care and is now ready for his new home! Max is about three years old and gets along with other dogs but with proper intros. No cats for Max, he's too playful. Max does have some resource guarding that he is working through but has been doing good. He needs someone who has experience in his breed and is willing to continue working with him. He deserves the best life in a forever home. Max loves adventures and water! Max is also a huge cuddle bug and walks very well on a leash and loves to go on trails for walks. Hi, I’m Journey They say every dog has a story—and mine almost ended too soon. I was in a crowded shelter with very little time left, not because I did anything wrong, but simply because there wasn’t enough space. Then someone saw me—really saw me—and gave me the second chance I didn’t know I’d get. Now I’m safe, loved, and ready to find a forever home where I can truly belong. I’m about a year-and-a-half old, with striking blue eyes that people always stop to admire. I’m crate trained and housebroken, though if I’m moving into a new place, I might need a few extra breaks at first—new routines and spaces can take a little getting used to. I walk beautifully on a leash, and when I feel unsure or nervous, I’m great at listening and taking gentle redirection. When I meet other dogs on leash, I do really well. Inside the home, though, I can get a bit protective of my space, so I’d probably do best as your one and only, or maybe with a very calm and kind dog who helps me feel at ease. I just want to feel safe. My foster says I’m incredibly attentive and loving. I notice everything and love to stay close. I respond best to soft, gentle voices, and I really try hard to please. I’ve got a silly side too—they say I remind them of Scooby-Doo, and honestly, I kind of agree. When I want to connect, I’ll gently place my paw on your arm, like I’m saying, “I’m here, and I’ve got you.” It’s my little way of showing love. I’m okay with kids, especially if they’re quiet and kind. Sudden noises or loud voices can still scare me, and I’m working on being brave around things like passing cars. Sometimes I’ll jump up when I’m excited or nervous, so if that’s not your thing, I understand—just know I’m learning and trying my best every day. I’ve come so far already, and I’m proud of how hard I’m working. My foster is proud of me too. I just want a calm, patient home where I can keep growing and discovering how safe and beautiful life can be. And when I get a little scared? Well... sometimes I jump into your arms like Scooby-Doo. I’ve got a big heart that’s learning to be brave—one paw at a time.
