Story
Dakota is a beautiful 5-year-old purebred German Shepherd with a loyal heart and playful personality. He originally came from Arizona with a friend of mine, but when my friend had to move back and couldn't take him along, I took over caring for Dakota so he would have a safe home.Dakota is a happy affectionate who loves people and enjoys spending time with his owner. He loves playing fetch and chasing balls, getting belly rubs and scratches, and watching the world go by from the window--especially keeping and eye on squirrels and bunnies he wishes he could chase. He is well behaved in the house, crate trained, and sleeps comfortably in his crate or on the floor. Dakota has good manners and does not get on the furniture. Dakota would thrive in a home with a yard where he could run and play, and with someone who has time to give him attention and companionship. Like many shepherds, he forms a strong bond with his person and is very loyal.Dakota does not do well with other dogs

Story
Male - 1 year - 65 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - OHHi there! My name is Jace and I am a 1-year-old, 65 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when I am left home alone. I am a sweet boy with my foster parents, though it took me a while to warm up to them. I’ve spent most of my life in a kennel environment so living in a home with people was a new experience for me and I am very shy with new people. I have started seeking affection and enjoying pets from my foster parents and discovering how great it can be! I’ll need a patient, calm adopter to help me grow more comfortable around people.  I love other animals and will require a confident canine sibling in my home to help show me the ropes! I have also been around cats without issue so could have kitty siblings also. I love toys and bones! Any kind of stuffy toy that I can gently carry around is great, and I will also play tug with other dogs with a rope! I ride well in the car and only pull slightly on lead. I take food gently and would love a family who will continue my socialization so that I can grow into my most confident self! I have been learning to come to my foster parents when they call my name and know what it means to be “time for bed”! I am a sweet boy who is ready to find my perfect adoptive family—could that be with you? Please contact Echo Dogs (adoptions@echodogs.org) for more information about this pet.Male • 5 Years • 66 lbs. • Microchipped • Neutered • FLBIO Hello! My name is Rocky. I am house trained and crate trained. You do not need to crate me when you cannot supervise me. I am a mature guy and not destructive. I love getting attention from everyone I meet. I am quiet when strangers come to visit and warm up quickly when we are properly introduced. I enjoy being close to my family. I sure do love those butt scratches.I have met a lot of other dogs and I am friendly. I do get very excited; we are working on my manners when greeting other dogs. I love going for walks, especially when I can sniff around. I do pull a bit when I see other dogs because I am so excited. I live with cats here at my foster home. I usually ignore them. I don’t chase them. I just don’t like it when they try to steal foster mom away. I really like soft toys, but they don’t stand a chance. I like to play fetch with balls and squeaky toys. I even put all my toys away in my crate. I know lots of commands. I like to show off when you ask me to do them. Foster mom says I am incredibly smart and a quick learner.I would love to find a home with a family that has a yard and maybe a resident dog that likes to play. I could be an only dog, if you are home more often than not and can provide the activities and training to continue to help me become the best dog I can be. I am housetrained and crate trained. Although I will not touch anything when you leave, I will try to follow you out the door. That’s why my foster mom crates me when she goes out. I love everyone I meet and really like all the attention I can get. I’ve met a lot of different dogs and I know how to play with them, even the smaller ones. I didn’t do so well with cats.I like playing with squeaky toys. I don’t know how to play fetch, maybe you could teach me. I like going for car rides. I know my basic commands. I like training and learning. After all, I am still a very young guy. I am extremely loyal. If I’m busy and you call me I will come. I just don’t really like when you leave.I would like a home that has a well settled canine companion and a good, structured routine. I like to know what to expect. Story
Please contact Echo Dogs (adoptions@echodogs.org) for more information about this pet.BIO Hello! My name is Trooper. I am house trained and crate trained. Since I am still young it is best to crate me when you cannot supervise me. I was hit by a car, and I am doing very well following my FHO surgery. I love all the people and children I meet. I will seek attention and love belly rubs. Someday I may even be a snuggler. I currently live with other dogs at my foster home. I am friendly to them. I like smaller or same size dogs best. Big dogs scare me. Foster mom is working on that with me. I feel better when I know I am safe. I had a rough start for a young pup. I was cat tested when I was boarded and I passed, so it is ok if you have a dog savvy cat. I love all of my chew toys, stuffies, squeakies and balls. Maybe you could teach me how to play fetch. I like going for car rides. I am learning commands. I walk well on a leash. When I see other dogs while we are out walking, I get a little defensive until I feel safe. I would love to find an active family home with a confident, nonreactive canine companion. Someone with patience who understands the importance of consistency. Someone to help me on the road to my recovery. Follow me on Facebook:  #EchoDogTrooper2026 For more information, please contact adoptions@echodogs.org.   Echo Dogs fosters dogs in many states.
