Story
Male - 1 year - 65 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - OHHi there! My name is Jace and I am a 1-year-old, 65 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when I am left home alone. I am a sweet boy with my foster parents, though it took me a while to warm up to them. I’ve spent most of my life in a kennel environment so living in a home with people was a new experience for me and I am very shy with new people. I have started seeking affection and enjoying pets from my foster parents and discovering how great it can be! I’ll need a patient, calm adopter to help me grow more comfortable around people.  I love other animals and will require a confident canine sibling in my home to help show me the ropes! I have also been around cats without issue so could have kitty siblings also. I love toys and bones! Any kind of stuffy toy that I can gently carry around is great, and I will also play tug with other dogs with a rope! I ride well in the car and only pull slightly on lead. I take food gently and would love a family who will continue my socialization so that I can grow into my most confident self! I have been learning to come to my foster parents when they call my name and know what it means to be “time for bed”! I am a sweet boy who is ready to find my perfect adoptive family—could that be with you? Story
Male - 5 years - 40 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - NYHi, I’m Ricardo. I’m a 5-year-old, 40 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I use my crate as a safe space mostly; I do not need to be shut in my crate when I am left home alone. I have coexisted well with adults, with a preference for women, though I am very shy and don’t seek much interaction. I will accept calm affection from my foster mom. Most of the time I am happy to people watch from afar. I will need someone willing to be patient as I come around to them and my surroundings in my new home; I had had no or minimal human contact prior to coming to Echo Dogs so this human world is all new to me and I have been trying hard to learn! I love having the company of other dogs and will require at least one confident canine companion to help guide me. I am wonderful about adjusting my play style to match that of the dog I am playing with and all around have good canine social skills. I am also gentle around cats and wouldn’t mind having feline siblings. I have been learning about these things called toys and they’re pretty fun! I especially like the plushy toys and benebones. I have been working hard on leash skills and can now join on quiet outings! I may get nervous at times and need gentle encouragement. I am still pretty uncomfortable with car rides so that is also a work in progress. I have learned to reliably come to my foster mom when she calls me. I currently take clomicalm to help me manage my anxiety. I am a gentle-natured boy who is ready to find a patient human ready to help me continue navigating this human world—could you be my human(s)? Story
Female - 4 months - 18 lbs - Microchipped - Spay Contract - PAHello! My name is Hina and I am a 4-month-old, 18 lb female. My adoption is conditional on my adopter having me spayed at 6 months of age (September 2025). I am doing  well with housetraining and am already crate-trained. I am still a puppy so I will need to be crated when I am left home alone. I actively seek affection from my family and will hop into their laps for snuggles! I can be scared of new people and will create space then approach when I’m ready, which is quickly with people who let me make the first move—then we can be great friends with lots of snuggles involved! I love to play with other dogs and would love having a confident, playful canine sibling or I could also do well by myself. I am playful with toys as well, especially balls or squeaky toys! I cannot go to a home with cats. I walk well on leash and ride well in the car. I have learned sit, come, leave it, and crate cues. I would love to continue learning and working on my socialization as I grow up! Could you be my family? Story
Female - 18 months - 35 lbs - Microchipped - Spayed - NYHi there, my name is Lonnie! I am an 18-month-old, 35 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and am trustworthy being left home alone uncrated. I like to relax and watch out the windows. I am looking for a patient home as I am terrified of people and will do my best to avoid them. I have occasionally sought out attention from my foster mom after a few months together—it seems I did not have much exposure to humans prior to my arrival to Echo Dogs. A patient family who will work with me on my mistrust of humans with me and where there are not a lot of visitors would be ideal! I love other dogs and will need a confident canine companion in my home. I am respectful and love to play with my foster siblings. I will require a securely, physically fenced yard as I love to spend as much time outside as I can at my foster home! I have learned about chew toys and think they are great! I do have a strong prey drive so I cannot go to a home with cats. When I came to Echo Dogs, both of my front legs were broken due to a vehicle collision. I had several surgeries to repair the damage and can now move around comfortably and easily! As a result I am not a fan of cars—riding in them or just seeing them when out and about. Otherwise, I walk well on leash for my foster mom! Now that I am physically healed up, I am ready to start the search for a special family to call my own where I can continue to learn about the human world. Could that be with you? Story
Female - 3.5 years - 60 lbs - Microchipped - Spayed - DEHi! My name is Vaquita and I am a 3.5-year-old, 60 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I can be left home alone uncrated, though I like to have a crate available to me as a safe space for when I become overwhelmed. I have done well with men, women, and older children with proper introductions. I prefer to meet people at my home, where I have been known to jump into the laps of new friends when they sit on our couch! I love to receive pets, cuddles, and to give kisses to my people; I am overall a super affectionate girl! I love toys, especially balls or rope toys, and am never far away from some kind of toy! I would love a family where I get daily play. I can easily clear a short fence so I either need a yard with a secure, tall fence or no fence where I’ll receive exclusively on-leash exercise. I have unfortunately not done well with other dogs and will need to be the only pet in my home. I show reactivity through barking and lunging when I see dogs from a distance. When I have been introduced to other dogs, I have postured and lunged even with proper introductions. I ride well in the car and would love to find a family dedicated to providing continued training so I could join you for adventures! My leash skills are a work in progress (although maybe I’d be a candidate for the Iditarod?), but I have learned how to sit, come, and roll over. I have also learned how to allow you to dry off my paws when they get muddy! Nail trims are a bit of a different story. I am a happy, smart girl who is ready to find my perfect adoptive family—are you my family? Story
Male - 1 year - 60 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - FLHello! My name is Boone and I am a 1-year-old, 60 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when I am home alone, but my foster thinks once I’m a bit older I will be okay out of the crate. I have done well with men, women, and kids. I love pets and snuggles. I am not allowed on furniture at my foster home and respect that, though my foster mom thinks I would enjoy snuggles on the couch if I could come up. I currently like to lay my head across her lap for snuggles. I will alert bark to visitors coming to our home, then settle once they come inside. I do well with other dogs and wouldn’t mind having a sibling or being by myself. I love to play with my foster siblings. I enjoy having toys, though they need to be for tough chewers because I have mastered pulling off small bits of softer toys and may eat them. I cannot go to a home with cats. I was not exposed to a lot of novel experiences while growing up so my foster mom has been helping me build my confidence! When I get nervous, I will tuck my tail and rely on you to guide me through it. I have almost mastered my leash skills and understand walking on a loose leash. I will occasionally get car sick if I am anxious, though I have also successfully gone for short drives without issues. I have learned how to sit, down, and come. I am currently working on heel and stay. I would love to find a family willing to continue my training and socialization. My mom was #EchoDogBliss, and while I don’t look like her I would still love a family of my own! Could you be my family?
