Please contact Echo Dogs (adoptions@echodogs.org) for more information about this pet.Male - 2 year - 65 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - OHBIO Hello! My name is Jace. I am house trained and crate-trained. I am currently crated when I am left home alone. I am a sweet boy with my foster parents, though it took me a while to warm up to them. I’ve spent most of my life in a kennel environment so living in a home with people was a new experience for me and I am very shy with new people. I have started seeking affection and enjoying pets from my foster parents and discovering how great it can be! I’ll need a patient, calm adopter to help me grow more comfortable around people.I love other animals and will require a confident canine sibling in my home to help show me the ropes. I have been around cats without issue so I could have kitty siblings as well. I love toys and bones. Any kind of stuffy toy that I can gently carry around is great. I also play tug with other dogs with a rope.I ride well in the car and only pull slightly on lead. I take food gently and would love a family who will continue my socialization so that I can grow into my most confident self. I have been learning to come to my foster parents when they call my name and know what it means to hear “time for bed”. I am a sweet boy who is ready to find my perfect adoptive family, could that be with you? Story
Male - 5 years - 40 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - NYHi, I’m Ricardo. I’m a 5-year-old, 40 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I use my crate as a safe space mostly; I do not need to be shut in my crate when I am left home alone. I have coexisted well with adults, with a preference for women, though I am very shy and don’t seek much interaction. I will accept calm affection from my foster mom. Most of the time I am happy to people watch from afar. I will need someone willing to be patient as I come around to them and my surroundings in my new home; I had had no or minimal human contact prior to coming to Echo Dogs so this human world is all new to me and I have been trying hard to learn! I love having the company of other dogs and will require at least one confident canine companion to help guide me. I am wonderful about adjusting my play style to match that of the dog I am playing with and all around have good canine social skills. I am also gentle around cats and wouldn’t mind having feline siblings. I have been learning about these things called toys and they’re pretty fun! I especially like the plushy toys and benebones. I have been working hard on leash skills and can now join on quiet outings! I may get nervous at times and need gentle encouragement. I am still pretty uncomfortable with car rides so that is also a work in progress. I have learned to reliably come to my foster mom when she calls me. I currently take clomicalm to help me manage my anxiety. I am a gentle-natured boy who is ready to find a patient human ready to help me continue navigating this human world—could you be my human(s)? Story
Female - 3.5 years - 60 lbs - Microchipped - Spayed - DEHi! My name is Vaquita and I am a 3.5-year-old, 60 lb spayed female. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I can be left home alone uncrated, though I like to have a crate available to me as a safe space for when I become overwhelmed. I have done well with men, women, and older children with proper introductions. I prefer to meet people at my home, where I have been known to jump into the laps of new friends when they sit on our couch! I love to receive pets, cuddles, and to give kisses to my people; I am overall a super affectionate girl! I love toys, especially balls or rope toys, and am never far away from some kind of toy! I would love a family where I get daily play. I can easily clear a short fence so I either need a yard with a secure, tall fence or no fence where I’ll receive exclusively on-leash exercise. I have unfortunately not done well with other dogs and will need to be the only pet in my home. I show reactivity through barking and lunging when I see dogs from a distance. When I have been introduced to other dogs, I have postured and lunged even with proper introductions. I ride well in the car and would love to find a family dedicated to providing continued training so I could join you for adventures! My leash skills are a work in progress (although maybe I’d be a candidate for the Iditarod?), but I have learned how to sit, come, and roll over. I have also learned how to allow you to dry off my paws when they get muddy! Nail trims are a bit of a different story. I am a happy, smart girl who is ready to find my perfect adoptive family—are you my family? Please contact Echo Dogs (adoptions@echodogs.org) for more information about this pet.Female • 2-3 Years • 60 lbs.• Microchipped • Spayed • GABIO Hello! My name is Tam. I am 2 or 3 years old. I am house trained. I do not like to be crated. I do not need to be crated when you cannot supervise me. If you do leave me alone, I will sleep most of the time. I have other dogs here to keep me company. I am good with both men and women. I am not much of a snuggler, but I love to be pet. I’ll come over to you for attention. I will even roll over for belly rubs. In the daytime I will approach strangers slowly. At night if I don’t recognize a person, I will bark at them. I do very well with the other dogs in my foster home. They are females, different sizes. One dog is high energy, another not so much. I did not do so good with the cat. So, it is best if you do not have a cat. I like to destuff toys and pull all the toys out of the toy box. I guard my toys and food from the other dogs so foster mom doesn't leave anything laying around and is proactive with trying to work on this issue. I ignore loud noises like thunderstorms and sirens. I am nervous about getting in a car, but Foster Mom and I are working on this. I love my daily walks, and I am pretty much a dream walking companion as I am completely nonreactive on leash even to the point of ignoring squirrels.I would like to find a home with someone who is home more often than not. I do like running around & playing with one of the dogs here at my foster home. A home with someone that has patience and can continue working with me to build my confidence. I am currently undergoing heartworm treatment. When that is complete, I will be spayed. I will be ready for adoption in October. I get very excited when visitors come to the house. I am very friendly and affectionate, especially with children, I love children.I am friendly with all the dogs I meet. I even had a puppy friend to play with. I have not met any cats, so I do not know how I feel about them. I love my stuffies and chew toys. I like going for rides in the car. I walk very well on a leash. I come when you call my name and I know no means no. I am very good about getting baths. I was in bad shape when I came into rescue and foster mom had to give me lots of baths. Look at me now! I will require iron and joint supplements to help me continue to do well.I would like to find a home with someone that would love a very sweet old girl with spirit like me to follow them around. I am great with children but would do best as a companion to someone that is home more often than not. I am really a gem that deserves a good life with someone that loves me. Could that be you? I am currently being house trained and doing very well. I’ve had no accidents since I first came to my foster home. I am also learning about being crated. Since I am still very young it is best to crate me if you cannot supervise me. I am cautious when strangers come to the house. I bark a little, but I will settle down when we are introduced. I am learning how to trust people. I am very affectionate and I will warm up to someone that spends time with me. I have met a lot of different dogs. I greet them in a very friendly playful way, even when I am out on a leash taking a walk. I am very well on leash. I don’t pull or bark at anything. I love playing with chew toys and tug. I know how to play fetch. I also like toys with treats in them. I am doing better in the car. I like it when we go somewhere fun. We visited family and I was quiet and well behaved. I have not met children here, however I did meet a toddler with no problem.I would like to find an active home with someone who is home more often than not. Someone who likes the outdoors to take me hiking and play. I love running around. I hear obedience and agility classes are fun.
