Story
Meet Parson — a 4-month-old German Shepherd mix who somehow skipped the “chaos gremlin” stage of puppyhood and went straight to “gentle, snuggly marshmallow.” 🐶💛 This sweet boy has mastered the art of balance: • Zoomies? Yes, but tasteful ones. • Playtime? He has yet to meet a toy he doesn’t like. • Cuddle breaks? Mandatory and frequent. Parson currently weighs about 20 pounds of pure softness, with a plush coat, floppy ears, and the sweetest face. He adores other dogs, worships toys, and believes that the best place to rest is right up against you… or on you… or halfway in your lap, depending on his mood. If you’re looking for a puppy who’s equal parts playful and snuggly, with a heart as big as his future paws, Parson is ready to steal your spot on the couch — and your heart. 💕 If you are interested in finding out more about Parson, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BRO/Dog Parson is being fostered in Leominster, MA. The adoption fee is $600. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Nicholas, a sweet German Shepherd looking for a fresh start after his family lost their housing. This handsome boy is everything we love about German Shepherds—affectionate, intelligent, and wonderfully attentive. He bonds closely with his people and is happiest when included in daily life, especially if it involves car rides, which he adores. At the shelter Nicholas is a happy wiggle butt and his tail is always wagging and he has done well meeting new people. Nicholas has no known history living with children, so we’re recommending a home without young kids while he settles in and gains confidence. He may enjoy sharing his home with another dog, but a meet prior to adoption is essential a good match. He is great with handling - except for nails/feet and will need his new home to be willing to work on helping him to get better with this. Staff would be happy to provide potential adopters with info to help Nicholas progress with this issue. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will reward your care with devotion and love, Nicholas may be the perfect partner. He’s ready to begin his next chapter—could it be with you?If you are interested in adopting Nicholas please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm. If you are unable to come to the shelter during those hours please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to see if there are other times available to meet him.

Story
Meet DJ Dingo a young shepherd mix who is looking for a new start. DJ Dingo is affectionate, playful and silly. He loves to spend time with his people and enjoys playing with toys. DJ Dingo really enjoys spending time outside and will happily go for long walks with his favorite people. DJ Dingo never fails to have staff members laughing and is truly the life of the party.DJ Dingo came to us very skinny and has slowly been gaining more weight, and will need to keep gaining. This sweet boy has gained 12lbs in care at the shelter. He has been working hard on his house training but is not quite there yet. DJ Dingo has done well meeting new people and will happily rub himself all over you for attention and love. He may enjoy living with older kids and other dogs, but we have no history on that so they would have to meet first. If you are looking for a goofy, spirited and loving companion DJ Dingo is the perfect match for you. If you are interested in adopting DJ Dingo please come to the shelter on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 12-4pm. If you are unable to come to the shelter during those hours please email dogs@worcesterarl.org to see if there are other times available to meet him.
