PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Hunter! Hunter is approximately 1.5 year old, 47 lbs currently and he may have some Shepherd in his mix. He was found as a stray running loose at a wildlife refuge in the south. In his southern foster home, he is doing great with his important life skills like house training, crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with other dogs, dog-savvy cats and kids 10+.His foster says, `Hunter is a wonderful pup!! He loves attention and getting petted! He thinks he’s a lap dog.He loves to play with the other dogs. He does not care for an overly playful puppy. But he does very well with a bigger dog that’s older. He needs a fenced in yard as he loves to be outside with all the pup toys and sun himself! We spend a lot of time outside and he loves that. Hunter is learning all the important stuff like potty training, crate training, keeping 4 paws on the floor, and leash training. He does have an accident from time to time but is almost potty trained. The crate training is going well. He sleeps in the crate at night with a night light. I think he might be a little scared of the dark. He will bark a little bit but settles down after a few minutes. He is still learning to keep 4 paws on the floor. And for that reason I think he would do awesome with a 10 or older kid! He might accidentally scare a smaller child. He loves to go on walks and does very well with the leash!! He also does well in public. Very good at vets office and he’s been to Tractor Supply a few times and loved it! He’s getting used to car rides. He just lays in the seat like a good boy! He has been around my cat and chases him for fun. So he would do well with a dog savvy cat! Hunter has been a joy to foster! He has a lot of love to give and will make a great addition to someone’s family.`He is available for adoption on January 2nd in N Dartmouth, MA. Gracie is approximately 5 years old, 65 lbs currently and she may have some German Shepherd in her mix! In her foster home, she is doing great with her house training, crate training and leash walking. She could go to a home with kids and other dogs. She has not been exposed to cats.Gracie currently takes thyroid meds and has a heart murmur, but it doesn`t impact her quality of life! Her foster says, `Gracie is one of the best fosters that I’ve had in the 3 yrs I’ve been fostering. She loves everyone she comes in contact with. She will sit, shake and catch snacks. She has her rubber chicken that she loves playing with. She will put it in her mouth while walking around making it squawk until someone will play with her. She likes to be queen sitting on the sofa with you. She goes to the door when she has to potty. My husband has been sick (flu) and she has been laying on the floor beside him. Sometimes she would put her head on his lap. Like saying”I’m sorry your sick daddy”. She has been checking on him while he’s been sleeping. She has a great heart.`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on January 2nd. Creed is approximately 1 year old, 26 lbs currently and he might have some Lab or Hound or German Shepherd in his mix! In his foster home, he is working hard on his house training, crate training and leash walking. He could go to a home with kids, cats, and other dogs. His foster says, `Creed is a precious boy! He loves to play with our kids and other dogs. He also loves a good cuddle session with his people. Definitely a gentle, submissive guy! He is learning the leash and crate and doing well with both. He’s had a few accidents in the house, but mostly due to humans not getting him out quickly enough. He’s also learning to keep his paws off the counters and quickly figured out “Sit” and is learning a few other commands. He would make the most amazing addition to a family with other pets, kids, and has somebody home more often than not. His new family is going to be so lucky to have him!`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on January 2nd. Story
This stunning boy is Cooper Manning! He's about 10 months old and weighs in at around 50ish pounds. He still has room to grow! Cooper Manning is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, on preventatives and neutered. Cooper Manning is good with other dogs but doesn't appreciate puppies in his face. He will give them a warning. He LOVES children but please remember he is still a puppy and may knock them down! We took this amazing boy to an event - his FIRST event. There were people drinking, kids running around, other dogs and even a live band playing! It was LOUD and chaotic but he did fantastic! He is housebroken! He's great on leash. He knows the sit command. He's VERY gentle with all humans! He would make a PHENOMENAL emotional support dog. Cooper Manning NEEDS to be with his people. He wants so badly to bond with someone. He will need a family member to be with him at all times. He does not like to be alone. Story
Introducing.... drum roll please....dadadada... BACON!! This energetic, fun-loving boy will always keep you moving. Bacon is a German Shepard mix that we rescued a couple of years ago as he was at a high kill shelter and we know how that goes for so many loving pets. With intentions to rehome him sooner after saving him, he has just been so much fun and a wonderful friend to our other rescues, but now with a growing family we just don't have the time to give to Bacon with all his boundless energy and hoping to find that loving home that can give this boy a run for his money....literally run run! Bacon always loves to play ball and fetch with any kind of ball you can find, especially a nice football or soccer ball, that he will likely POP!. Bacon just looooves to chase little animals, including little dogs, so he is suited for only medium to larger dogs if you have other dogs at home. And of course he is such a snuggle bug on the couch, and he will happily take over your entire bed!!
