Story
Meet Mother Goose! 🐾 After 322 days stuck in limbo as part of a cruelty case, this resilient senior shepherd is finally ready to write her next chapter—with a loving home of her own. 💛 Goose is a sweet and spunky gal who’s been through a lot, but her zest for life is nothing short of inspiring. She’s got the heart of an adventurer and the soul of a snuggle bug, all wrapped up in one devoted companion. 🌟 Here’s what makes her special🌟 🚗 Loves car rides and will hop in happily, ready to go wherever you are 🌳Enjoys a good stroll in a quiet neighborhood or a woodsy trail 🐶 Crate-trained and sleeps peacefully through the night 💖 Velcro dog alert—she’ll be your loyal shadow, always nearby 🧸 Big fan of toys, especially balls and squeaky ones (treats required for toy trades!) 🏠 Doing great in her foster home—she’s learning routines and figuring out how to just be a dog 🍗 Will do just about anything for rotisserie chicken Goose is looking for a quieter home where she can be the only pet and soak up all the attention she’s been missing. A fenced yard would be her dream, but it’s not a must—what matters most is having a patient, understanding human who will love her for the brave, goofy, loyal girl she is. 👑 No other pets so she can be the center of your world and soak up all the attention 👫 Adult-only home preferred 🐾 Experienced, dog-savvy home where she can thrive at her own pace This goose is ready to fly the coop—straight into your heart. 🥰 Ready to be her happily ever after? Story
Meet Crush — a gentle soul with a worried heart who`s still learning how to navigate the big, confusing world. He’s not your typical dog; in fact, he’s still figuring out what it even means to be a dog. Crush needs patient, understanding people who can give him space, go slow, and most importantly, respect his boundaries. If he says “no thanks,” he means it — and we’re looking for a home that will listen. He’s not ready for touch, cuddles, or the usual expectations that come with bringing home a new pup. What he needs right now is a safe, calm place to just be, with people who are okay meeting him exactly where he’s at.That said, Crush has given us glimpses of something really special. With time, consistency, and trust, a few dedicated staff members have seen his sweet and sensitive side begin to peek through. A little sniff here, a curious look there — it’s all progress, and it`s proof that Crush wants to connect, he just doesn’t quite know how yet. He’s looking for a soft landing, a quiet home, and people willing to walk beside him without rushing the process. If this sounds like you, come in and chat with our staff today.

Story
Frida is a sweet and silly 7-year old German shepherd looking for her new home! She loves going on leisurely walks and romping around outside with her favorite toys and people! She may take some time to warm up but when she is comfortable she will show you her silly, playful self! Frida came to us needing surgery after she ate fabric that she found in the home, so it will be important to manage her environment so she doesn’t get herself into trouble again! Frida has a good history living with dogs who are more low-key, so she could do well in a home with a calm dog friend who respects that she wants to keep her toys to herself. We don’t know her history with cats, but we think she could do well with a slow introduction! She could also be a good match for children who give her space when she has her favorite toys. If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog that’s a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they’re interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.

Story
I am looking to rehome my puppy Odin he was born in November of 2024 so he is still a baby. His dad is a German shepherd and his mom is a husky pitbull mix. He is a very good boy. Very playful. Very energetic. Needs a home willing to train him and looking for someone who has the time to spend with him and or a backyard for him to have ample outside time. I need to rehome due to unforeseen medical circumstances where I will be taking care of all 4 of my kids two of which are disabled and also my husband full time alone. Just looking for a great home for a good boy!

Story
We adopted Diesel 5 years ago and is truly a wonderful dog. He is potty and obedience trained. He is good with people but horrible with other dogs, he has to be an only dog. He is energetic and truly a wonderful dog, but we have had too many run ins with our neighbors dog that is it no longer enjoyable. He gets along with our black lab and they have been together since day 1 of Diesel’s adoption, but with smaller dogs, he likes to be a bully. We truly love him.
