Story
He's the sweetest soul; his pretty brown eyes will make you fall in love. A friend of the family had given us Kobe. He is just about a year old. His birthday is January 5, 2025. He has been crate trained, however we have a very busy schedule and he can benefit from a family that can get him obedience training and have the time and ability to play with him and burn some energy. He's an intelligent dog. He needs to be socialized a bit more with other dogs. He is not violent, but is very curious and likes to sniff people and other dogs to get to know them.

Story
🌟 Foster Needed for February: Meet Tabitha, Our Special Senior German Shepherd 🌟 Tabitha’s story is nothing short of miraculous. She was saved from a heartbreaking area where dogs were often shot for sport. One day, she stumbled upon the right home—a kind person who refused to look away and contacted someone who came to save her. From there, Tabitha found safety at a roadside rescue network and began her long journey toward a better life. For the past few years, Tabitha has been living at the rescue headquarters. During that time, she completed much-needed heartworm treatment and is now healthy and ready to take the next step. Tabitha is a true gem. She loves stealing toys and hiding them in her crate, a playful quirk that melts the hearts of everyone who meets her. She adores being walked by visitors, is crate trained, and is good with other dogs. Her best friend is a male named Winston. However, she isn’t cat-friendly, so her foster home will need to be feline-free. Her salt-and-pepper face tells us she’s a senior, though her exact age is unknown. What we do know is that she’s full of love and deserves a warm, safe place to call home. We’re looking for a foster for February. Can you be the next stop on Tabitha’s incredible journey? If you’re interested in fostering Tabitha, please reach out! Let’s give this amazing girl the love and care she so deeply deserves. We will provide everything you need! 📩 info@bigwavedogrescue.com Foster 🎾 https://www.bigwavedogrescue.org/foster Adopt 🦴 https://www.bigwavedogrescue.org/adopt

Story
THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN A FOSTER HOME WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE OF OUR KENNEL IN WOBURN, MA. ONCE A POTENTIAL ADOPTER IS MATCHED WITH A DOG AND GOES THROUGH OUR REFERENCE AND INTERVIEW PROCESS WITH AN ADOPTION COORDINATOR THIS DOG WOULD BE AVAILABLE FOR YOU TO MEET BEFORE ADOPTION. IT IS OUR GOAL TO GET ALL LOCAL DOGS TO THEIR FOREVER FAMILIES WITHIN 7 DAYS ONCE MATCHED. **Please read Coco Rosie Spring's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Coco, a cheerful, affectionate, and playful 1 1/2 year-old German Shepherd mix (about 40 lbs) who is ready to be someone's most loyal companion. She's the kind of dog who will worm her way into your personal space just to give you love. Once she's comfortable with you, she is an absolute delight. Coco's journey started in the mountains of Puerto Rico, where she was found as a stray before making her way to New England. She was adopted locally, but a home with young children and a lot of household activity turned out to be a bit overwhelming for her, and she's now in foster care looking for her perfect second chance. She thrives in calm, peaceful environments where she can truly settle in and be herself. Her crate is her safe space, and according to her foster mom, she's been sleeping in it every night and doing really well. Once she's comfortable, Coco is pure joy. She loves other dogs and would thrive with a canine companion by her side. In her first home, she made plenty of friends at doggy daycare and has always gotten along warmly with people too. Outside, she absolutely comes alive, especially in the snow, where she goes all-in on a good game of fetch. And after burning off that energy? She's a champion napper. This smart girl has completed two levels of obedience training and has mastered sit, stay, down, and come. Her recall in particular has blown her foster mom away - she comes when called reliably and eagerly. She's learning great leash manners using a harness and is house-training well. Everyday life with her is genuinely easy and rewarding. Her foster mom immediately connected with Coco and her sweet nature. She is always sneaking over to get close and soak up as much love as she can get. Coco is healthy, happy, and ready to bring so much sunshine into the right home. If you're looking for a loyal, gentle companion who will love you with her whole heart, Coco just might be your girl. Story
**Please read Sky's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application. Thank you!** The sky's the limit with this one! Meet Sky, a 5-year-old German Shepherd mix, weighing 70 pounds (as of 1/25/26)! This happy-go-lucky lady was found as a stray on the streets of Tennessee but hopes to liven your darkest days with her heroism and smile! This sweet girl is very smart and very trainable. In fact, she's preparing to join the Avengers on their next mission so Sky will need an active home where her owners will have time to work with her and take her on long walks or even hikes. When she's not fighting the forces of evil or saving helpless civilians, Sky is constantly on the search for her next job whether that's walking, being a hiking buddy or a cuddle buddy! Sky is eager to please her person and truly loves everyone she meets. While she doesn't have any experience with kiddos, we think she'll be fine since she loves her people. Sky has also lived with dogs of all sizes! She does tend to chase cats so she'd probably be good in a home without them. Sorry kitties! No hard feelings. Sky is great with leashes but isn't as fond of crates (it's basically her Kryptonite) but her foster says she doesn't need a crate as she does great and behaves well. Sky hopes to learn commands at her future home so she can fight against the forces of evil! The only thing Sky asks from her future family is patience as she adjusts to your home. Sometimes she'll pace and do laps in the yard when she first comes to a home, but she'll eventually settle down (which is common in German Shepherds). Think of it as her scoping out the area for any bad guys! Also, loud noises such as the vacuum will make her pace and be on the alert. Who needs a security system, when you've got Sky right at home! Sky does have a little stub of a tail due to it being amputated, but it just makes her that more adorable especially when she wags it! This girl's a fighter and she's happy to show off her battle scars. All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.
