Story
Tatum is a gorgeous, shy German Shepherd Dog who had a rough start to life. Tatum is hoping to find an adoptive home who has experience with dogs, and understands their body language. He is wonderfully sweet and curious once he makes friends with new people. Tatum has a great nose and loves long, sniffy walks, and exploring. Tatum is affectionate and happy with people he trusts, and walks fairly well on a leash. He will bark at new people who move quickly towards him, and likes to make friends by just hanging out and going for walks without being the center of attention. Tatum is very gently curious about other dogs, and may be able to live with another dog who can approach him calmly. At this time he is looking for an adult home, and may take a few meets before he is ready to go home with an adopter. This great boy will make a wonderful friend for an adopter who is willing to go slow, and build his confidence. If you are are interested in meeting Tatum, please head to our website at worcesterarl.org and fill out the Dog Adoption Inquiry to request a meet with Tatum. All adoptions are by appointment, thank you!

Story
Sammy is super sweet! This boy enjoys long quiet walks, and has grown to adore the staff who cares for him. When meeting new people you will definitely see Sammy's shy side. Sammy is a gentle pup who doesn't like to be rushed into making friends. He prefers to take his time and let you show him that you can be patient with him. Sammy make take more than one visit at the shelter to get comfortable with new folks, but once he does, you will have yourself a best friend. Due to Sammy's shyness, we will be looking for a home without children, and a home without lots of people in and out. Sammy may enjoy living with other dogs, but they would have to meet first. If you are viewing this dog's profile on Adopt-a-Pet and are interested in adopting, please head to our official website at www.worcesterarl.org to fill out a Dog Adoption Inquiry Form, which will be located under the dog's profile. That is the first step! All adoptions are by appointment, thank you!

Story
Handsome, smart and athletic Wiley is looking for adopters that will enjoy his clever and energetic personality! This beautiful German Shepherd mix pup likes to meet new people, but needs a home without other dogs or cats. This pup is super smart and energetic. Access to green space and outdoors would be best for him, as well as home experienced with dogs that thrive with training and lots of attention. Wiley can't wait to learn new tricks and bond with people who appreciate his love for outdoor activities and adventure. If there are to be kids in his new home, they should be older as Wiley bounces around and hops up on people excitedly and is a strong guy who could knock little ones over. If you think Wiley would be a great fit for your home, please head to our website worcesterarl.org click on Wiley's bio to fill out the Dog Adoption Inquiry Form. That is the first step. Story
Niko is a 4 yo german shepherd. His birthday is 2/2/18 so he's almost 5. I got him right before Covid so he was not socialized as much as he should've been and has some social anxiety when other humans come to his home or are around his humans. He is extremely protective of what's his and will give ample warning to those who are a threat by barking and pushing them back with his nose. He has to be medicated when he goes to the vet to calm him. With the right training and time this can be corrected. He's extremely intelligent and willing to learn new things. He's a working dog by nature. He loves walks, playing catch with his tennis ball, squeaky toys and lots of attention. He won't leave your side or run away. He's house trained and food driven. I lost my husband to suicide a year ago and due to financial reasons I cannot keep him. I am heartbroken and desperate to find him a loving home asap.

Story
Meet KIWI Rescued: 3/17/2023 Age at the time of rescue: 3 days old Current weight: 40 pounds Born in an abandoned home to mom, Patsy who is also up for adoption. They were living in the ruins of an old house in the jungles of Puerto Rico. Their days were numbered and helping this family in need has been our absolute pleasure. It's now time to find them all amazing homes and we hope that you can help. Kiwi is best described and fun, goofy and playful. She loves playing in water and when it rains, she couldn't be happier! Kiwi is currently being fostered in a loving foster home in NH. This is the first time in her life that she's been in a home. She is very gentle, affectionate and sweet. She really feels her happiest with friendly, playful dogs. She will probably be best in a quieter home, with a fenced yard, and a friendly canine sibling or more to show her the ropes. She will need a patient owner who will support her fears of the new world. She does not have a mean bone in her body! This girl is a gem of a dog that deserves to be loved!
