Story
Jarrod is a 5–6ish month old Mixed breed puppy who’s in the thick of his puppy stage and loving every minute of it! This goofy, growing boy is full of energy, curiosity, and mischief. He’s smart, playful, and always on the lookout for fun (even if it means chewing a shoe or two along the way). Jarrod is still learning the ropes when it comes to manners, so he’ll need a patient and active adopter ready to guide him with positive training, structure, and lots of playtime. He’s a blank slate with tons of potential and will thrive in a home that can match his enthusiasm and shepherd smarts. **We will be requiring adopters to send up for training before taking the boy home.

Story
We have Zeus Alexander here! He is 5 years young. High energy dog who loves to be outside. We are looking for a new home that has ample space outdoors for him to enjoy and someone who also loves the outdoors. Zeus is such a good boy indoors and he has never been destructive. He’s not the biggest hugger but will be at your feet while you sit down or chill. He tends to stay close to his owners throughout the day or while we shower, he stays and lays by the door. He knows his basic commands but like any dog but there is always room to improve. Overall, with a heavy heart we recently found out our son is allergic to Zeus and to not keep them separate all the time, we have decided to rehome Zeus and we are looking for a family/owner that has the available time that likes to be outside so Zeus can live his best life. Story
To adopt please fill out an adoption application. Summer is a beautiful 2yo female white German Shepherd Dog who was rescued as a stray in Memphis.  Friendly, well socialized, never meets a stranger!  (be sure to watch her video!). Good with kids although recommended for older kids just due to her size and enthusiasm!  Fine with other dogs.  Not recommended for cats because she likes to chase them.  Playful with moderate activity level outside and settles down quickly in the house. Good house manners. Housebroken but not crated because she doesn’t need to be. Obeys basic commands.  Loves to be with her people.  When she first came to us, Summer had heartworms, but she was treated without complications and cured and is now ready for adoption. Healthy and fully vetted, current on shots, spayed, weighs about 80 pounds. AWESOME young GSD will make a great companion (and jogging partner) for an active family who loves the breed. Here’s a note from her foster mom.  This is Summer. I found her running in traffic in July. She was nothing but ribs and hip bones when I found her, clearly she’d been on the streets alone for a while. I couldn’t leave her there. I took Summer to the vet, she had heartworms but she was treated and cured. She’s dog friendly but a little too active for my 2 senior dogs who just want to sleep all day! But she is dog friendly.   Last month we were harassed by 2 stray dogs during our walk but Summer never fought back or showed any aggression and we were able to just hurry away. She’s very friendly with people, even strangers.  And good with kids. She’s somewhat obedience trained and knows some verbal/hand commands.  She has mild separation anxiety and doesn’t like being left alone and doesn’t like it when people yell.  Summer’s ideal Adopter should have experience with GSD's, be patient and willing to work with her separation anxiety, be able to spend a lot of time at home and enjoy an active lifestyle. Summer is a wonderful young dog and anybody who loves shepherds would be very happy with her. Story
Rodney is a happy and energetic German Shepard mix. Rodney loves to play with other dogs and wants to be friends with everybody! He loves to play fetch outside with sticks or balls and he loves to play in water. Rockets favorite thing is playtime with his doggy friends and would prefer a home that has a playmate that can match his size and energy. Rodney lives with cats in his foster home and he doesn’t try to hurt them but he likes to chase them once in a while. He loves children but he is clumsy so he would do best in a home without small children.

Story
Looking for some light in your life? Consider Hardy! This gorgeous, big boy is absolutely stunning with a big, bubbly personality and an even bigger heart. His joyful, playful energy is guaranteed to light up your days. He was off to a rough start when he was found on the streets of Houston with a broken shoulder. But those sad days are behind him now. We had his shoulder surgically repaired and he is now happy and active and ready for his forever home! He’s making great progress in learning leash skills and is picking up a few basic commands with ease. He’s very smart and responds well to guidance. He soaks up being doted on and will lean in for more pets. He loves being with people and has an adorable affinity for toys. He displays all the qualities that will make him a fantastic companion – loving, attentive, intelligent, loyal and playful (with a goofy side to keep you smiling). He enjoys belly rubs and give him a toy and he’ll entertain you as much as he’ll entertain himself. If you are looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin, consider this lover boy. NO CATS. Hardy is neutered, up to date with vaccinations and micro-chipped. He's estimated to be around 5 years old and weighs 105 lbs. If interested in this amazing boy, please email us for an application at adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org Please note we are always in need of foster homes for our dogs. If interested in making a difference in a dog's life, we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent. Foster homes greatly increase the chances of speedier adoptions and you'd be making a huge, positive difference in the life of an animal who needs you.

Story
Meet Rocky, a lovable one-year-old Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and a sweet disposition! Rocky's journey began when he was abandoned with a group of dogs in a remote area in central Arkansas. Fortunately, a kind family took pity on the dogs and welcomed them into their home. The family is now fostering Rocky until he finds his forever home, with the help of our rescue group. Rocky is fully vetted, including vaccinations, neutering, heartworm prevention, and microchipping. He thrives on attention and loves to cuddle in your lap, making him the perfect companion for cozy moments. Rocky is very food-motivated, which makes him easy to train, and he adores treats. He loves both dogs and people, but his compatibility with cats is unknown. Rocky is incredibly sweet and deserves a loving family of his own. Transport is available from Arkansas to New England, and his adoption fee is $350, covering the cost of transport. Residents of Arkansas have a lower adoption fee of $175.  If you're looking for a cuddly, trainable, and loving companion, Rocky is ready to bring joy and affection into your life! For questions, you may text us at 501.289.0894, and visit our website at arkanpaws.org. Adopt Rocky and give this sweet boy the loving home he deserves!   2/2         4o ##2130195##
