This lovely girl is already here and looking for a place where she can lay her head down every night to rest and dream. If interested in adopting, fostering, or fostering to adopt Sadie please fill out an application here http://www.bestfriendsforlifeanimalrescue.com/ Sadie I'm thinking maybe we could rest and dream This world in not enough for me Sadie This may sound crazy but I don't always dream I just can't fall asleep without you I'm counting down the days since I've seen your smile, your face- from 'Sadie' by The Bunny The Bear. Sadie is a sweet 2 year old Shepherd mix weighing 55 lbs. She is already house and crate trained and is working on improving her leash manners. She can be a little shy at first but quickly resumes her sweet loving affectionate demeanor. She is good with other dogs. She has not been around cats so we are unsure how she would react to them. She made the road trip from a Kansas shelter to our rescue in CT quite well. Sadie is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. All she needs now is her very own forever loving family and home where the world will finally be a good place. Will you be the one who will give her a wonderful life where together you can rest and dream? Will you be the one who will always come back to Sadie?

Story
Looking for some light in your life? Consider Hardy! This gorgeous, big boy is absolutely stunning with a big, bubbly personality and an even bigger heart. His joyful, playful energy is guaranteed to light up your days. He was off to a rough start when he was found on the streets of Houston with a broken shoulder. But those sad days are behind him now. We had his shoulder surgically repaired and he is now happy and active and ready for his forever home! He’s making great progress in learning leash skills and is picking up a few basic commands with ease. He’s very smart and responds well to guidance. He soaks up being doted on and will lean in for more pets. He loves being with people and has an adorable affinity for toys. He displays all the qualities that will make him a fantastic companion – loving, attentive, intelligent, loyal and playful (with a goofy side to keep you smiling). He enjoys belly rubs and give him a toy and he’ll entertain you as much as he’ll entertain himself. If you are looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side through thick and thin, consider this lover boy. NO CATS. Hardy is neutered, up to date with vaccinations and micro-chipped. He's estimated to be around 5 years old and weighs 105 lbs. If interested in this amazing boy, please email us for an application at adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org Please note we are always in need of foster homes for our dogs. If interested in making a difference in a dog's life, we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent. Foster homes greatly increase the chances of speedier adoptions and you'd be making a huge, positive difference in the life of an animal who needs you.

Story
This is "Jasper", a 10 month old German Shepherd. He is 1 of 4 puppies Connecticut born on August 6, 2024. Jasper came to us with his 2 brothers and 1 sister, "Jessie", "Woody" and "Maple". We are happy to say that Jessie, Woody and Maple have all been adopted! We are sad to say that Jasper is now all by himself without his 2 brothers and his sister. Jasper is now waiting and hoping he will be as lucky as his brothers and sister to find a good home and a fun and loving family to be with. Jasper is very cute. Oh did he love playing with his brothers and sister! They would run and run playing and chasing each other. They sure had a lot of fun and they were fun to watch! We are looking for Jasper's owner to be someone who does not work full time; a couple of hours a day would be okay. Jasper needs some help and someone's patience with "potty training". That is why we would like someone to be home with Jasper. Also, in Jasper's new home, children must be 10 years old or older. You must own your own home. No condos. No apartments. Jasper got neutered and his shots are up to date. To adopt from us, you MUST have a veterinarian reference in your own name. We will not place any animal without a veterinarian reference. We get a veterinarian reference from your veterinarian which is a history of medical care administered by your veterinarian to your present or previous pet or pets. Please do not contact us if you cannot abide by our adoption rules. The adoption fee for Jasper is $300.00 which includes his neutering and shots. No credit cards. If you are interested in Jasper, please email us at feline55keeper@gmail.com. You can meet Jasper on Saturday at Petco located at 201 Union Street in Waterbury during our adoption hours from 12:00 to 3:00. His tail will be wagging waiting for you! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE STRESS THAT IN ORDER TO ADOPT FROM US, YOU MUST HAVE A VETERINARIAN REFERENCE...NO EXCEPTIONS!

Story
If you are looking for a gorgeous boy who is the perfect combination of intelligence and brilliance, you’ll surely fall in love with Laramy!!! This adorable guy was found roaming the streets looking for a friend! He was so sweet with everyone he saw and when animal control picked him up they just knew this boy was something special! He went to the pound where he proceeded to make friends with everyone! He was amazing with every dog and person, and was even timid with the cats! Fortunately volunteers all fell in love with him and knew this guy needed to make it out and on to incredible parents who would cherish how amazing he is! This boy is a perfectly petite size of 40 lbs. He may fill out a little bit more but he’s pretty much full size and amazing! He’s about 18 months old and a complete ham. He’s since had his vaccines completed, deworming, microchipping, heartworm tested negative, he’s current on preventative and now neutered! He’s got a clean bill of health and ready to begin his next chapter!! In foster care this guy is doing incredible! He’s great about going potty outside and is doing wonderfully on his routine. This big truly is the ultimate ham! He’s sooooo handsome, and has a heart of pure gold! He’s sweet with every person he meets and is fabulous with other animals! He plays beautifully with dogs of all sizes/breeds/ages, he is great with cats (he’s a little scared and always gives them space!). Laramy appreciates a fun road trip, a hike, a nice walk, play dates and parks, bbq’s, new friends, dog siblings, and his favorite is snuggling! He’s happiest when he can cuddle up on the sofa with his foster parents, and is extra happy is he can snuggle in bed! He has a phenomenal temperament with everyone he meets and is very adaptable and adorable. He’s very intelligent and is happy to learn anything you’d like to teach him. When he meets new dogs he is adorably submissive and always following their cues, and enjoys the confidence he can get from friendships! Laramy is ready to be a super devoted companion, the kind of guy who can take everywhere, socialize with whomever, and always loves to snuggle with you at the end of the day. If this super handsome sweetheart is your dream pup, please visit www.greatdivideanimalrescue.org and submit an application for adoption today!!!
