Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Rudy is now in NJ. Rudy came from the Wolf Pond Sanctuary in rural Mississippi. Wolf Pond Sanctuary is closing and all of the remaining dogs need a place to go asap.  Rudy was been at the Sanctuary for his whole life in an outdoor kennel with a concrete floor. He has never known the inside of a house, the warmth of a fireplace, the comfort of his persons bed until now.  Rudy will need a gentle, patient person willing to put some time and effort in to teaching him the joys of being a pampered pet. He will need to learn housebreaking but crate training will be a breeze. He will need to learn to trust humans as Rudy is a shy, timid boy who was never properly socialized. Rudy is a flight risk based on his nature and lack of socialization and will require special precautions (martingale collar, leash to collar and harness, caution around doors and when exiting vehicles).   Rudy is dog friendly. He used to live with Tinsel who is in our care here in NJ. Rudy did well on his cat test. Based on his timid nature, he will likely do well with and find comfort in other animals. No small kids for Rudy and a quiet home would be best. Rudy is fixed and up to date on vaccines & microchipped.   Rudy tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $300.    How to Adopt Me! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Stevie is a sweet, beautiful girl who is looking for a home. Stevie is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ on our next transport. We offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters. Stevie is described as shy but she warms up with affection. She is calm and has great manners. Stevie is currently in boarding which was done to save her life. She is shy with other dogs and seems to prefer the company of volunteers that come to care for her. Stevie was a stray who went to a very crowded, old shelter and then to boarding to spare her life. Her whole world turned upside down. When she first went to boarding she dug a hole to hide under the building. She may struggle with a new transition but we believe in Stevie and we know she deserves a second chance. She shouldn't be left outside by herself in her new home. Stevie is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She completed treatment for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.   How to Adopt Me! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Winston James is a very handsome boy who is looking for a home! Winston James is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters! Winston James was at a rural shelter in Louisiana with no budget for vaccines let alone major medical care and due to an old injury, this boy needed FHO surgery. Our rescue friends reached out since they couldn't bear for this boy to be put to sleep and of course we said yes! Winston James is having his surgery this week and has a wonderful foster home lined up for his recovery. He can come to NJ in May.  Winston James is dog friendly and also good with kids.  Winston James    is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He tested negative for heartworm. Once he recovers from surgery we do not expect any lasting effects from his injury. His adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. Story
Hi! I'm the loving and exuberant Gracie! I'm a really good girl. I'm super smart, energetic and love to chew on bones, play with toys, and go for walks. I love to show my belly so you know I am the goodest girl in the whole world.I love children. I am a good girl who knows my manners when there are little kiddos running around.Since I'm still quite young, I could benefit from some basic obedience training. I have a lot of energy and a lot of love to give. I'd really love a home that will care for me and play with me, forever and ever! Are you interested in meeting me? Stop by the shelter between 1-4p. I'll be here eagerly waiting!!!

Story
I’m Luna a 6-year-old German Shepherd weighing 64 pounds of true to my breed beauty. I may be a tripod, but trust me, it doesn’t slow me down one bit! An active home that allows this playful girl to play with toys, run in a yard, and show off her fetch skills would really help me thrive. While I will for sure bond with my family in time, new faces do make me a bit wary, so slow introductions will help make this loyal lady feel comfy. Soon you’ll be over the moon in love with me! The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!
