You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This handsome guy is Dante. He is a young husky/shepherd mix (born June 2024), and weighs about 50 pounds. Dante is very smart, playful and full of personality - but we are not going to sugar coat it- he’s a handful! He is friendly, has had obedience training, loves to work for treats and knows plenty of commands- but will pick and choose who he will listen to and when he will listen. A dog like Dante is frustrated in a kennel environment. We cannot meet his mental or physical needs. He needs a home- someone with the skill, time and patience to work with him. We are looking for a special adopter- the one who can see his potential and wants to help a dog in need. A potential adopter for Dante must be an experienced dog handler, who can establish and maintain leadership from the start. He will challenge his handler- so this is an absolute must! A fully fenced in yard is required. We believe he would do best in a home with one or two adults. He has the potential to live with another dog. (But of course a meet is a must). Dante has bonded with some of our volunteers, and can be very affectionate. We believe he has the potential to be a great companion- but only in the right hands. This sweet survivor was found with her sister by animal control and was at risk of euthanasia simply due to lack of space. Thanks to a kind-hearted couple and our rescue community, Gloria got the second chance she so deeply deserved — and she’s made the most of it ever since. Gloria is a joyful, affectionate girl who is incredibly people-oriented. She bonds easily and deeply with her humans and truly thrives on connection. Once she chooses you, she’s all in — a classic “velcro dog” who wants to be near her person, soaking up love and reassurance. She’s happiest when she knows you’re close and feels safe by your side. Because of her strong bonds, Gloria is still learning that alone time is okay and that her people always come back. She’s making progress, but she’ll do best in a home where someone is around often and can continue helping her build confidence with gradual, gentle departures. Meet Lillie! She was adopted from the shelter when she was much smaller, but then was brought back and 5 months later because she had gotten to big. She is 9 months and is about 45 lbs. She was set to be euthanized and was just to sweet and deserves better. She is typical german shepherd mix size. She is so sweet and very well behaved on the leash. She is great in the car and knows how to sit on command. She is great with other dogs and kids, she has not been tested with cats yet, but can be if you are interested in her. She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and dewormed. She is hoping you put in an application soon!

AL is only 10-11 months old German/Dutch shepherd mix puppy who urgently needs a foster home. He has been living in a crate in the shelter for way too long and that is no life. We would like to pull him in our rescue so that he has a home and space to grow into a amazing that he could be. A foster home would provide just that. AL should be learning about the world through positive experiences, guidance, and safety. Instead, he is growing up in a shelter environment that is loud, chaotic, and overwhelming and scary, which is having a profound impact on how he presents. At the shelter he is missing out on the essential socialization, consistent training and reassurance that puppies need to grow into confident adults. AL is smart dog who walks well on the leash and knows basic commands. He is leash trained and housebroken. He is sensitive, and cautious around strangers and appear unsure at first but when approached slowly and respectfully, he allows handling and begins to relax. Once he feels safe, he leans in for affection, enjoys touch, play and clearly wants connection. With patience and positive reinforcement, this is something that can absolutely improve over time.
