Meet Bella. She is one of the newest members at Rescue Ridge. Her name means “beautiful” in many languages, which fits her perfectly! Bella is a very social and affectionate girl. She appears to be a full German Shepherd. She is estimated to be between 3-5 years old and currently weighing in at 77lbs, but she needs to gain weight. She is instantly friendly to everyone she meets. She has such a loving nature which would make her a great addition to any family, even one with slightly older kiddos. She has no guarding issues around food or toys. This beautiful girl deserves a loving home and will make an extremely loyal, loving companion! Please apply to adopt Bella today at Rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match a volunteer will contact you. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 12, 2024, 1:05 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Rudy is now in NJ. Rudy came from the Wolf Pond Sanctuary in rural Mississippi. Wolf Pond Sanctuary is closing and all of the remaining dogs need a place to go asap.  Rudy was been at the Sanctuary for his whole life in an outdoor kennel with a concrete floor. He has never known the inside of a house, the warmth of a fireplace, the comfort of his persons bed until now.  Rudy will need a gentle, patient person willing to put some time and effort in to teaching him the joys of being a pampered pet. He will need to learn housebreaking but crate training will be a breeze. He will need to learn to trust humans as Rudy is a shy, timid boy who was never properly socialized. Rudy is a flight risk based on his nature and lack of socialization and will require special precautions (martingale collar, leash to collar and harness, caution around doors and when exiting vehicles).   Rudy is dog friendly. He used to live with Tinsel who is in our care here in NJ. Rudy did well on his cat test. Based on his timid nature, he will likely do well with and find comfort in other animals. No small kids for Rudy and a quiet home would be best. Rudy is fixed and up to date on vaccines & microchipped.   Rudy tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $300.    How to Adopt Me! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jeremiah is an adorable pup who is looking for a home. Jeremiah is with our partner rescue in Louisiana but can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved applicants. Jeremiah was found as a stray and brought to a dead end shelter in rural Louisiana. This shelter does not have any budget for even basic vaccines. He was on the euthanasia list which happens every week since they only have 14 dog kennels but thank God our partner rescue saved this boy! He is doing great in his foster home and already rocking the housebreaking and kennel training. He loves kids and loves dogs and is super smart! His foster mom says he is a velcro pup! Jeremiah tested well with cats. Jeremiah is fixed, microchipped and up to date on rabies, DHPP and Bordetella vaccines. Jeremiah tested negative for heartworm. His adoption fee is $550.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Winston James is a very handsome boy who is looking for a home! Winston James is now in a NJ foster home! Winston James was in foster in Louisiana with several other dogs and in NJ with one other young, playful dog. He is full of energy and loves his family and loves to play! Winston James is a great dog who is doing really well with his foster family. He is housebroken now and barks when he needs to go out. He was great with the kids in the LA foster home too.   He is crate trained and great on the leash. It seems like he is best with dogs his size and energy level and may be too much for older, smaller dogs. Winston is not a fan of cats. Winston James is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. He had a hip injury and a knee injury that were surgically corrected and he recovered wonderfully. He jumps around and runs like it never happened which is exactly what we want to see. Winston James completed treatment for heartworm and is now negative. His adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.
