Story
Diane is a sixty pound, one years old, German Shepherd mix.  Diane is a love bug and a princess. If you give someone a hug Diane will come out of nowhere and want to join the hug. Diane loves to just hang out with her person and is usually very docile. She listens to commands and is crate and house trained. A smart very loving dog, Diane loves affection, is well mannered. Mature kids twelve and over would be best with Diane. Diane will do best in a female household.  Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all of our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.June 6, 2023, 4:20 pm

Story
Lilly Rose is an eight-week-old, German Shepherd and Australian Shepherd mix, weighing about eight pounds.  Lilly Rose is good with kids, good with other dogs, and good with little kittens, big cats, and ferrets. What can we say about an eight-week-old puppy except she is adorable, loves to be around people, sleeps through the night, and her foster says Lilly Rose is improving on house training too! Lilly Rose doesn't like being in crated, but she does have to go in it at mealtime because she can get a little growly when other dogs are eating with her.  Lilly Rose is a commitment of a lifetime. We will provide basic initial vetting including spaying the dog at five months. Puppies require patience, time and commitment so consider all this before you apply. No small kids unless they have grown up with a dog. We cannot predict Lilly Rose's size, but she could be over 45 pounds. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply to completed applications only, not to calls, not to emails, not to instant or private Facebook messages. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We prefer a fenced yard, but this is not required for all our dogs. We transport by land or air whenever possible.June 6, 2023, 4:20 pm

Story
Kate is a nine-week-old, six-pound, German Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog mix.  Kate is good with other dogs, mature kids ten and over, and with cats. Kate is a sweet natured puppy, expected to be around twenty-five pounds when fully grown.  Kate was picked up by a local shelter wandering the street and never claimed. Kate has gorgeous markings. Kate loves to play so if you have a companion dog, she would be very happy! Kate will need house training since she is a young puppy. We will spay Kate as our contract states, provide deworming, a chip, and puppy shots. You will need excellent vet references, a home visit, and a commitment for the life of the dog. Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls, no emails. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog’s description. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media.    Mason is a five-year-old, thirty-seven-pound, German Shepherd and Beagle mix. He is good with dogs and mature kids ten and over, and cats. This sweet and very gentle dog is the perfect family dog. He is easy going, sort of lazy, well-mannered in the house, and about 75% potty trained. He loves Xylitol free peanut butter treats, inhales every meal. He also loves ear and chin rubs. Mason does not like quick moves, he gets scared and will pull back and shy away so no small kids. He is great with other dogs and he doesn't mind cats, just thinks they are interesting. This dog will follow you around the house and wants you always in his sight. He only barks when he does not see you, so a home with someone around most of the day would be ideal. Mason prefers his indoor playpen to a crate but is not destructive in the house so you can leave the crate door open. He is smart and learning sit and down; he doesn’t really leave your side enough to learn Come yet! This little guy travels well in the car, just lays down in the backseat and enjoy the current of air from an open window. A wonderful companion for a homebody or family! Apply at crisisdogsnc.org. We reply only to completed applications, no calls, no emails. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible. Unless there is definitive documentation our breed assessments are based on visual appearances.
