Paddington Estimated Birthday: 6/26/2021 Breed: GSD Mix Adoption Fee: $265 Meet Paddington the golden bear with the grinch paws. Paddington is eagerly waiting on his forever home. He was adopted as a puppy and was returned due to not getting along with the other dog in the house. For this reason, Paddington wants a home without any other dogs. This handsome boy is Incredibly sweet, smart, and food motivated. He loves belly rubs and treats, so much so that the minute he makes eye contact with you, he’ll instantly roll over to show you that famous golden Pooh Bear Belly. Because of his love for treats he is a bit chunky and is working hard on losing some weight. He’s a very quick learner, mostly because he’s SUPER eager to get that treat. His calm personality makes him the most perfect boy, he’s happy just chilling with you, watching your favorite movie Paddington is currently on 100mg of Carpofen/Rimadyl daily for his hips Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee is $265 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Story
Meet Millie May! Quick Facts: Breed: German Shepherd mix Estimated Birthday: 12/11/2022 Size: roughly 80lbs --===================================== Meet Millie May, the girl who has it all - funny, friendly, athletic, curious, and smart! (They do say that variety is the spice of life.) Millie May is a happy, healthy adult dog who loves to play, explore, and make new human friends. Whether it's playing with toys or finding the best spot for a tummy rub, Millie May is always game. She is the ultimate boating buddy and could spend HOURS out on the boat. She loves water and would make the perfect lake dog. If you're looking for a fun-loving, curious, and cuddly companion, look no further - Millie May is the girl for you! Here's to many happy adventures together! Millie May loves a good car ride, chewing on bones & has recently discovered the art of swimming. She is a goofy girl, but maintains her sweet nature while proving how incredibly smart she is through training! She is very food motivated & we encourage her adoptive family to utilize this to invest in obedience training. She does know "sit", "down" & is working on "stay". Millie May has done well with the cat in the home and doesn't pay him any attention. She has not resided with a child, but is a still a big puppy at heart with lots of energy to burn. She sometimes knocks things over & sometimes her feet forget how to feet, and that may include bulldozing children who are less on the durable side. Millie May would do best in a home as an only dog. Millie May is crate trained and house trained. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Millie May is $265 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Story
Adoption Application: bit.ly/C2CND_App Quick Facts Breed: German Shepherd mix Age: 3 years old Size: Currently 50#, but slightly underweight - could stand to gain 5-10#. House-Trained & Crate trained -===== Poco, a mixed breed boy who landed himself in the pound when he was seized from his ”home”. Now his home was the local pound and he was on death row which means he could be killed at any moment likely due to lack of space. (Let me remind you this is NOT the fault of the shelter workers, or volunteers - this is the fault of the trash that treated him like he was nothing more than worthless property). Poco was severely neglected and nearly starved to death. He weighed under 30 pounds when he first entered the system, he was skin and bones. Poco is visually impaired but we don’t know to what extent he can see and we don’t know what caused the issues with his eyes. We brought him into our rescue reassuring him that he is safe now and we will find him the most wonderful family who will treat him like a king. We could tell he was leary and almost a little shut down but we are here to help him overcome any obstacles. -Poco is visually impaired. Do not know extent. - He is learning the outdoors in a fenced yard. He requires a fenced in yard in his forever home due to his visual impairments. -He is currently learning steps and loves to be outside in the sun with his person. -We are currently in the process of introducing to different dogs and is doing great so far! -He does walk on a leash, the use of a halter with a grab handle is useful. Due to his vision impairment the handle halter helps to guide him safely. -He just needs sufficient time to settle into new surroundings. -He has not been tested with Cats. - Due to his previous life, he would do best eating separately as he may steal other dogs food. -He is a gentle soul that simply needs time to bloom. But he is worth every effort! Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Poco is $265 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers appropriate shots, microchipping, heartworm testing, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Our application process includes: a virtual home visit, veterinary record check (please call vet to release current/previous pet records), and a rent check (to make sure pets/breeds are welcomed). Please allow 5-7 business days to finalize the application process. - Local adopters only. Due to us finalizing adoptions at adopter's home, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!

Story
I have had Hadi since she was a puppy, she was rescued from Cincinnati Animal CARE rescue. She is 3 years old and 70 pounds. Hadi can be very shy at first with new people but becomes affectionate once she gets familiar with you. She is house-trained and crate trained and knows basic commands such as sit, down, stay and go place. She walks very well on a gentle leader leash that we will provide, she doesn't pull and is a joy to walk with. Hadi does take Prozac 40mg daily because she doesn't like being away from people and this helps treat her anxiety. Since taking this, her anxiety is well controlled. Hadi would do very well with a large family or someone retired who can spend plenty of time with her. She definitely would need to have a yard to play in or frequent walks throughout the day. Most of her day is spent sleeping in her bed or gnawing on her favorite toys or playing with her ball. She is GREAT with other dogs.

Story
We are so excited to show the world this exceptionally happy and handsome German Shepherd boy that everyone loves instantly upon meeting him.  There are just some dogs draw you in make you want to hug them and reassure them and spend more time around them.  This boy is named Maverick and he is 4 to 5 years old and weighs 65 pounds with a need to probably be a good 75 pounds or more. His past is actually unknown, except that he was astray that came into a shelter in Middle, Tennessee and Critter Cavalry Rescue soon learned about his incarceration.  You can see in the pictures that his eyes look a little runny, and they are because they have some problems that are being medicated now.  Soon they will clear up and soon there will be good healthy weight put on this boy and he will be ready for a new start that he most certainly deserves in life. Maverick is great with meeting new people and new dogs.  He seems to be housebroken and is able to be crated, but prefers not to if you'll allow that.   He is the typical Shepherd energy, where he moves about checking things out and with curiosity.  He is quite obedient and smart.  He was a dream dog while the vet poked and prodded in inspected teeth and ears and drew blood.  He was at ease at the vet's office when entering the lobby and being in a place with lots of dog smells.  Maverick is a strong boy, both in physical strength and interpersonal acceptance of what events come his way.   He has show great trust in new people as he was transferred. from multiple cars and meeting different people who were helping transport him to his foster home with Critter Cavalry.  He meets strangers with a friendly smile and a seemingly awareness that they just want to help him.  He readily jumps up into a new car when asked to do so, which proves he has no hip issues or movement problems whatsoever for such a big boy.  He is handsome now, but soon very soon, he will be stunning once his coat improves with good food and grooming.  This boy enjoys being brushed and will be fun to do as you watch the loving results of your effort produce even more good looks.  Maverick is easy to love and he will readily love you back.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you want to know more or to receive an application for adoption.    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 27, 2025, 7:54 pm
