Story
This very sweet 2 year old husky mix will steal your heart with one look into his eyes.  Lovo has lived his 2 short years outside and it shows, but we are healing his body and soul one belly rub at a time. He currently weighs 67 pounds, but should weigh about 75 pounds. He loves to eat so it should not take long to reach his goal weight. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. Lovo is learning that crates aren’t so bad and that singing is only for special occasions. He’s been kept on a schedule and has had no accidents (so far) in his foster home. He loves other dogs and would love to have one to play with between belly rubs.   If you are interested in adopting Lovo, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **  January 11, 2026, 12:55 pm

Here’s a little more about this wonderful 5-year-old:Kyng walks great on leash and enjoys time outdoors. He has excellent leash interaction with other dogs during outings. He sleeps in his crate at night and has not been destructive when left outside of the crate. Potty training is still a work in progress, but he’s making steady progress with guidance and consistency. He’s a sweetheart during baths—smiles through it all. Kyng knows sit and responds well to cues. He is very friendly with people, a true lover boy who enjoys petting, hugs, and cuddle time. He has done great with kids he’s met during outings. He is a sweet, affectionate, and perfect companion for a home that enjoys cozy cuddle sessions.Kyng is a remarkable companion who thrives on companionship and affection. If you’re looking for a cuddly, well-mannered buddy who loves people, baths, and a good snuggle, Kyng could be the perfect addition to your family.Very smart boy. A little bit of energy so I would say no small kids for now, but he is very smart and very treat motivated.He also:- Knows sit, down and come.- Wagged his tail the entire time- Very food motivated- We worked on sitting while other dogs passed and he quickly learned that would get him treatos. After the first dog he would automatically look at me and sit. - Great walking or running buddy- Positive body language towards other dogs- Such a fast learner! We were working on `crate` and he caught on in 5 minutes. - Loves belly rubs and a good bone - Has never met a stranger
