This very sweet 2 year old husky mix will steal your heart with one look into his eyes. Lovo has lived his 2 short years outside and it shows, but we are healing his body and soul one belly rub at a time. He currently weighs 67 pounds, but should weigh about 75 pounds. He loves to eat so it should not take long to reach his goal weight. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. Lovo is learning that crates aren’t so bad and that singing is only for special occasions. He’s been kept on a schedule and has had no accidents (so far) in his foster home. He loves other dogs and would love to have one to play with between belly rubs. If you are interested in adopting Lovo, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. Xena is quite a character, and loves to run and play. She has lots of energy and will need a family who will be able to commit to walking daily and giving her lots of playtime. Xena is crate trained, and sleeps in her crate at night. She goes potty on command and has a regular feeding and potty schedule. She knows basic commands, plays well with other dogs and is people friendly. She is 61 lbs, on a regular flea-tick-heartworm-parasite preventative, is spayed, and up to date on all shots. Xena does get car sick, which is fairly well managed with anti-nausea meds. She really is a great girl! We're looking for a great family to love her. Xena is microchipped, and will go to her new family with her leash, collar, a few toys and a 5 month supply of symparicatrio (her current flea, tick and heartworm preventative).

i have fostered the role for temporary caretaker of this very sweet boy recently from a babysitting job. started my travel veterinary career shortly after so i don’t spend as much time with him as i want, and feel he deserves a better life with someone who can give him his undivided attention. he’s 3 years old, medium sized boy and he’s literally the best dog ever! he’s good with kids, dogs, and cats and loves to go for walks/hikes and dog daycares. i am strongly against surrendering him to a shelter since he probably will panic and risk euthanasia there and i wont feel good doing so AT ALL. i want him to go with a nice family who’s caring and possibly has another dog/cat or kids to make him feel even more welcome! since i do want him to be in a good home the dog bed, toys, leashes/collars and food chess will all be included.

Scooter is a very sweet boy, good with children and cats. He does not react to deer, golf carts, walkers, bikers, or small dogs when out walking, but does show reactivity with large dogs by barking and pulling. In the home, he is so lovely, calm, and friendly. He is a very laid back and relaxed dog. He is extremely responsive with treats on walks and his reactivity is easily managed with the use of food rewards. He still needs a bit of distance from larger dogs (20-30 feet) to be able to stay calm, but has done really well when this strategy is used. He has worked with a trainer and would benefit continuation to build social confidence. Scooter becomes very attached to his family. He loves with his whole heart! He has done fine with little dogs.
