Story
Hello, Blondie! Estimated Birthday: 2/17/2015 Breed: Shepherd mix Size: Large (66 lbs) Crate-trained: Yes House-trained: Yes Blondie is a sweet girl. She may be a senior, but you would never know it. She loves getting love from her human family, nice brushing, or just playing with her toys or fury friends. She is crate trained, potty trained, and just a sweet overall companion. She enjoys her doggie friends (males only) and is cat friendly as well:) Blondie has really come out of her shell in her time with C2CND. She came in the rescue nervous and not used to household noises to now happy go lucky dog ready to play. Blondie is a good guard dog as she will let you know when Amazon or UPS are there, but you don't have to worry about her barking other times as she will be quiet, enjoying time by herself. She likes treats and enjoys playing with toys. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Blondie is $256 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!

Story
Meet Millie May! Quick Facts: Breed: German Shepherd X. Estimated Birthday: 12/11/2022 Size: 65#+, this big girl already weighs in at 52#! Sweet Millie May was found running around at a Dollar General by a good Samaritan who took her home to help find her family. After several weeks with no luck, Millie May entered into the rescue world in hopes to find an owner who will do their best to reduce her Dollar General escapades in the future. ;) In true puppy form, Millie May loves being in on all the action. She enjoys playing with all the toys, her foster sibling and hanging out with her humans. She loves a good car ride, chewing on bones & has recently discovered the art of swimming. She is a goofy girl, but maintains her sweet nature while proving how incredibly smart she is through training! She is very food motivated & we encourage her adoptive family to utilize this to perfect her training. She does know "sit", "down" & is working on "stay". Millie May continues to work on her jumping habit, leash walking, not eating her foster sibling's food, and general boundaries. She does well with other dogs, but usually barks initially to audibly let you know just HOW eager she is to play with a potential new friend. That being said, her manners need some tweaking and she can be a little exuberant in her love and play style that can be too much for the elderly crowd or those who are too grown for annoying puppy antics. She can be protective of her favorite bone with other dogs in the home, but is easily redirected with another bone or toy she likes. She has done well with the cat in the home and doesn't pay him any attention, though she has been overly interested in meeting the cats she has seen outside & the fact that they don't want to meet her makes her want to meet them SOOO much more. She has not met a child, but is a big puppy with lots of energy to burn. She sometimes knocks things over & sometimes her feet forget how to feet, and that may include bulldozing children who are less on the durable side. Millie May does well on a leash, but does pull a little when she gets excited. She is working on house training (and may have an occasional accident in the house), and is crate trained, but will 100% let you know how much she hates being in it. Puppies require training, so Millie May is no different. Expect to work to potty train your newest addition as well as work with them on their basic obedience. We highly encourage enrolling your new addition in training courses to teach obedience and socialization skills. Please remember puppies are A LOT of work and are a commitment for life. This puppy may be mixed with pit bull - we do not know. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Millie May is $308 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Due to our thorough adoption process including home visits, we limit our adoptions to local families in the greater Charlotte area. - If you have any additional questions, email us at dogs@c2cnd.org and we will respond as soon as possible!

Story
Quick Facts: Age: 1.5 years (born June 28, 2022) Size: 70lbs Breed: Purebred German Shepherd Lovo came to the rescue at 5 months old after he suddenly lost all movement in his back legs and was set to be euthanized. Lovo has been with us for over the past year, and through the tireless work of his foster mom, he has made amazing strides. Lovo has also been recently diagnosed with Addison's disease. While Lovo is still unable to walk, he does use a wheelchair, and you will see that cute, rambunctious puppy come out! He loves Balls. Squeaky toys. Squeaky balls. Just the Squeaky if you let him. Playing with dogs. Wheelchair walks. Getting the mail. Due to his medical condition, he does have accidents from time to time. He loves other dogs but doesn’t realize how big he is. Lovo also would love to chase and play with cats, but thankfully, he cannot. Lovo is also your on-call fake guard dog… He barks but is a giant baby… sometimes even a rotten baby. One of his fun tricks is spilling his water just for funsie. He actually picks up the bowl and pours it on himself. He thinks he is the funniest dog since AirBud and Marley (Marley and me). Special Needs: He does have a sensitive tummy and requires prescription food. He will need daily prednisone and monthly shots at a vet's office. He currently goes to physical therapy, and continued physical therapy is expected of his future family. Lovo is a truly amazing dog with so much heart, but not for the faint of heart. He will require that very special and patient family. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Lovo is $308 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Story
My name is Bella Mia and as you can see, I am a beautiful golden girl that smiles and welcomes everyone I meet with an open heart of friendship.  I am a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix that is obviously going to be large and just bigger to love.  They say I was born around February 11, 2023 and for sure I am still very much a puppy even though I weigh 76 pounds.  They whisper behind my back and say that “she is a very smart girl” and that makes me want to be even smarter.  I try to keep my sweet personality showing out there 24/7 even though I am competing for attention from my other large and in charge siblings.  I am learning things but my foster family is busy and they are just maintaining good care for me and my large siblings.  I have energy to burn and I need a fenced yard to run in and someone that will focus on teaching me.  I need a loving and training oriented family who loves to bring a dog from A to Z status.  I survived a very tough start in life and am one of 12 siblings.  Only six of us survived.  I like fun, lots of activity and the hustle and bustle of family.  I need a fenced yard that is 6 ft. tall and it would be best to have me with children who are over 8 years of age because of my large exuberant size.  I am a well-rounded girl that will make your home much more Fun and loving.  If you are interested in making me a part of your life, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm

Story
Easy Ryder is like his name, an 'easy'  two year old German Shepherd boy that would love to join Peter Fonda on a motorcycle ride.  This boy loves to go, go, go and he's a ton of fun and a super  playful boy.  He is good with children, other dogs, but no cats unfortunately.  He’s a great car “rider”, loves his walks, and he loves hiking into the mountains.  He’s 70 pounds of all muscle, great health and good hips.  No issues whatsoever with health or dog habits and is UTD on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, HW prevention. He’s one healthy lover of a dog. Please contact ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.  He's in Tennessee but can transport north.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 23, 2024, 4:30 pm

Story
Active Axel is a handsome golden male German Shepherd/ Great Pyrenees mix who was born on February 11th, 2023 and is still a puppy in every way. He is one of six siblings that survived from a litter of 12. Our guy Axel weighs approximately 90 lbs, and is very GSD smart loving to be next to his humans.  This huge puppy is full of energy and he will fit perfectly in a home where there is a lot of activity, a fenced yard and people who love the BIG DOGS! He really likes walking, hiking, and just a ton of fun with activity. He also loves water and treats the water trough as his own personal spa. We recommend a home with a fence that is a minimum of 5 feet tall.   We do not suggest he go to a home with small children, or farm animals simply because he has no experience with them.  He hangs with his siblings and does well playing with them and also just enjoying their company.  He does need to eat separately for dinner as he protects his food from the other dogs due to early starvation. Handsome Axel is fully vetted, neutered and microchipped and he is kennel and crate trained for quiet time.  This boy needs some time and attention from a caring and dog savvy owner.  He would love to cuddle with you and be your adored companion.  He has such potential…..such love and such a need to grow and evolve into a fine companion in life.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in this big baby!  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 23, 2024, 4:30 pm
