This handsome boy is a 4 year old German Shepherd with a big heart. He is very obedient, loyal, and protective. Loves being outside, going on walks, playing ball, and running free in a fenced yard. He’s a big baby who loves to cuddle. He does best in a home with teens or older children. He has never been aggressive but has shown discomfort when approached by younger kids, so we feel a child-free or older-child home is best. He is trained on an electric collar and responds well to commands. This is a heartbreaking decision, but we want what’s safest and best for both him and our family. Looking for a responsible, loving home where he can thrive.

I’ve had inside he was 12 weeks old. Listens very well, very smart and playful. My current living situation is not allowing me to keep him and I want to make sure he goes to someone who will love him and be patient with him. He’s the best dog I’ve ever had.

Story
Rusty is a 2-year-old mixed breed (around 45 lbs) I adopted from a rescue this summer. He came from a stressful shelter environment and has made huge strides since. He’s house-trained and has been trained professionally since I got him, and he's good at commands like sit, down, place, and wait. Rusty is affectionate, snuggly, goofy, and loves being outdoors. He's at his happiest hiking, exploring, or just running zoomies with a canine friend. He does have isolation anxiety, so he’d do best in a home where someone is around most of the day or where he has at least one other calm, confident dog to keep him company. He bonds deeply and wants to be part of a pack. Rusty is gentle, eager to please, and happiest when he feels secure and included. As a single dog-dad in an apartment, I can't provide for the things he needs to thrive. Please help give Rusty the kind of companionship and stability he deserves.

Duke is a good boy! And quite a stunner too! Duke has come a far way since he came into our care, but is still learning! Duke needs a bit of space and guidance to explore things around him productively! We would love to see Duke go to a GSD savvy home, without small children (due to his size). He likes other dogs, but is still working on learning his social skills! Duke is an active boy, but settles down well. He loves his walks and following other dogs around. In foster, Duke hasn't had any accidents in the house nor has he chewed anything. Duke also does well left alone at home uncrated. Fill out an application at www.maggiesmissionrescue.org

Callie is a total cuddle bug, sweet and loyal! Callie looks at her people with the most loving eyes. She is ready to cuddle all night or go on any kind of adventure. She is brave and curious about the world around her. Callie likes to chase a ball or is happy to play by herself or lay down to chew a bone. Good for car rides, bathes and grooming. She has the softest coat with the cutest crimped hair on her ears and between her toes. Callie fell in love with her foster mom and dad at first sight but can shy / timid when meeting new people. Callie would be best suited for a home with dog-savvy children over 12 years old. She can get a little mouthy and jump when excited but is continuing to learn how to engage in appropriate playtime.
