Story
This handsome boy is a 4 year old German Shepherd with a big heart. He is very obedient, loyal, and protective. Loves being outside, going on walks, playing ball, and running free in a fenced yard. He’s a big baby who loves to cuddle. He does best in a home with teens or older children. He has never been aggressive but has shown discomfort when approached by younger kids, so we feel a child-free or older-child home is best. He is trained on an electric collar and responds well to commands. This is a heartbreaking decision, but we want what’s safest and best for both him and our family. Looking for a responsible, loving home where he can thrive.

Story
Pepe was rescued from a situation where he was crated with an unknown number of other Shepards. He is a sweet boy but can also be quite vocal. He is very loyal, and very protective. He gets along best with women, but takes a little time to get used to men. He loves his belly rubbed, and also to lay across the entire hallway when sleeping. He’s not much of a cuddler but is also quite clingy when he wants to be. He’s is approximately 6 years old, and has not had any major medical concerns as of date.

Story
Duke is a good boy! And quite a stunner too! Duke has come a far way since he came into our care, but is still learning! Duke needs a bit of space and guidance to explore things around him productively! We would love to see Duke go to a GSD savvy home, without small children (due to his size). He likes other dogs, but is still working on learning his social skills! Duke is an active boy, but settles down well. He loves his walks and following other dogs around. In foster, Duke hasn't had any accidents in the house nor has he chewed anything. Duke also does well left alone at home uncrated. Fill out an application at www.maggiesmissionrescue.org

Please contact No Pawz (nopawzleftbehind@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  This is a courtesy post for No Pawz Left Behind. Please use email listed to request an application to adopt this well deserving senior dog. If you are looking to add a new dog to your family, and would be open to a friendly older guy that loves playing with other calm dogs, Jake may be your guy!! Jake is 9 1/2 years old, and found himself homeless after his loving owner passed away, and this left Jake and a female pitbull alone in the home for a week to fend for themselves. Jake has adjusted well in foster care but he originally did have anxiety when left alone. He will need a family that will be patient with him for a bit while he learns the routine of a new home. He still loves being very close to his foster mom or dad. He does fabulous with other calm dogs, is playful, and wrestles with his friend dog. Jake listens well, and is the typical intelligent GSD. We would like Jake to go to a home with a fenced yard but owner will need to walk him on a leash in that fence until he feels bonded. Jake has met children and was friendly to them. His adoption fee is $150, and includes neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer, microchip, and endless love and appreciation from Jake. Please email for an application at nopawzleftbehind@gmail.com January 21, 2026, 1:13 pm

Story
Please contact Sheri (sswank1@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  Buck is a 2 1/2 year old DNA tested pooch, and guess what!?! He is exactly 50% GSD and 50% Great Pyrenees. What a fun combo for a dog! He gets super excited when he sees me getting my tennis shoes on, or my ball cap because he knows it means we're going hiking. He's 100 pounds of lean handsomeness. LOL. He does well as a couch potato and is calm in the house on a normal quiet day. He is house trained, crate trained and does well with other non dominant dogs. He is the best with smaller dogs honestly. He loves toys and playing fetch with any ball, and if you don't have time to play, Buck plays by himself. I'm looking for a home without young children because Buck does have herding/guarding tendencies. Buck is looking for someone who loves the big boys, and can handle them. Bucks adoption fee is $200, and includes all up to date vaccines, neuter, microchip, flea and heartworm preventative, and endless love and appreciation from BUCK! Please fill out our non-obligatory application at pawsandprayers.org if you would like to adopt him!! Please email sswank1@gmail.com with any questions.
