Koda is a 5-year-old Border Collie/German Shepherd mix with a gentle spirit and resilient heart. He came to us after his previous owner, facing serious medical challenges, could no longer care for him. Though mostly blind from pannus, Koda has proven incredibly adaptable. Pannus is a lifelong progressive disorder requiring ongoing care.He navigates his home with confidence, manages stairs easily, enjoys toys, and is well house-trained, clearly signaling when he needs to go outside. Koda is deeply affectionate and loves cuddles and close companionship. Because of his vision, he may gently jump up to sniff your breath as his way of saying hello.Koda would do best in a calm, predictable home without young children or other pets, as close quarters can make him uneasy. He has done great with a 9 year old before! He’s not reactive to dogs outdoors and would enjoy relaxed walks. With patience and love, Koda will be a loyal, devoted companion. What a fun combo for a dog! He gets super excited when he sees me getting my tennis shoes on, or my ball cap because he knows it means we're going hiking. He's 100 pounds of lean handsomeness. LOL. He does well as a couch potato and is calm in the house on a normal quiet day. He is house trained, crate trained and does well with other non dominant dogs. He loves playing fetch with any ball, and if you don't have time to play, Buck plays by himself. I'm looking for a home without young children because Buck does have herding/guarding tendencies. Buck is looking for someone who loves the big boys, and can handle them. Bucks adoption fee is $200, and includes all up to date vaccines, neuter, microchip, flea and heartworm preventative, and endless love and appreciation from BUCK! I have not met a more social pup than Sahara! This girl is all about having a good time with her humans and doggies :D She greets you with a jump or a hug. If you lower your face to hers, she thinks nothing of lathering your face with kisses. She also loves to randomly hug you. She is adoringly affectionate! Sahara is the same with dogs. She loves all dogs. She gets into crazy plays with them. She has been known to shape shift through openings in fences or gates to play with the neighborhood dogs :/ She has a love for exploration. She must be a Sagittarius 😊She has a mostly reliable recall so that’s a huge relief! On walks, she pulls initially because she is so excited to be out and about, but she does calm down minutes into the walk. She loves her walks. This girl is a natural explorer. She is a curious girl. Sahara is indifferent to toys. She prefers to be engaging with her humans and doggie friends. She gets excited when you get excited even though she has no idea what the excitement is about. She hops around like a crazy girl because you are happy about something :/ Sahara takes treats nicely. She sits and waits for them. Sahara does well in a crate. She keeps a clean crate. Sahara is about 2.5 years old, 60lb GSD mix. She is looking for a semi-active family with a playful resident dog(s) that she can be besties with.
