Rusty is a 2-year-old mixed breed (around 45 lbs) I adopted from a rescue this summer. He came from a stressful shelter environment and has made huge strides since. He’s house-trained and has been trained professionally since I got him, and he's good at commands like sit, down, place, and wait. Rusty is affectionate, snuggly, goofy, and loves being outdoors. He's at his happiest hiking, exploring, or just running zoomies with a canine friend. He does have isolation anxiety, so he’d do best in a home where someone is around most of the day or where he has at least one other calm, confident dog to keep him company. He bonds deeply and wants to be part of a pack. Rusty is gentle, eager to please, and happiest when he feels secure and included. As a single dog-dad in an apartment, I can't provide for the things he needs to thrive. Please help give Rusty the kind of companionship and stability he deserves.

Sniper is an intelligent healthy affectionate loyal 4yo German Shepherd, who still has his puppy energy. He is very sweet and never aggressive, even under stress (like small dogs off leash nipping at him). He loves cats. He gets along well with other dogs, though he typically is disinterested in them. He is looking for a very active home with somewhere to run every day. This is the most important thing for him, a very! high energy home where sniper can get the constant attention and activity he craves. Sniper needs 3+ hours of high energy stimulation per day. He is house trained and knows basic commands like sit, stay, down, and gentile. He has some leash training as well and stays by your side on walks. He is very loved, which is why we hope he can find a home that will better help him live to his fullest doggy potential, with all the space and time to play he could ever want!

If you are looking to add a new dog to your family, and would be open to a friendly older guy that loves playing with other calm dogs, Jake may be your guy!! Jake is 7 years old, and found himself homeless after his loving owner passed away, and this left Jake and a female pitbull alone in the home for a week to fend for themselves. Jake has adjusted well in foster care but he originally did have anxiety when left alone. He will need a family that will be patient with him for a bit while he learns the routine of a new home. He still loves being very close to his foster mom or dad. He does fabulous with other calm dogs, is playful, and wrestles with his friend dog. Jake listens well, and is the typical intelligent GSD. We would like Jake to go to a home with a fenced yard but owner will need to walk him on a leash in that fence until he feels bonded. Jake has met children and was friendly to them. His adoption fee is $150, and includes neuter, up to date vaccinations, dewormer, microchip, and endless love and appreciation from Jake. This is what Ashland Shelter (where we got him) was told originally by previous owner, and the test confirmed it. What a fun combo for a dog! He gets super excited when he sees me getting my tennis shoes on, or my ball cap because he knows it means we're going hiking. He's 100 pounds of lean handsomeness. LOL. He does well as a couch potato and is calm in the house on a normal quiet day. He is house trained, crate trained and does well with other non dominant dogs. He is the best with smaller dogs honestly. He loves toys and playing fetch with any ball, and if you don't have time to play, Buck plays by himself. I'm looking for a home without young children because Buck does have herding/guarding tendencies. Buck is looking for someone who loves the big boys, and can handle them. Bucks adoption fee is $200, and includes all up to date vaccines, neuter, microchip, flea and heartworm preventative, and endless love and appreciation from BUCK! I have not met a more social pup than Sahara! This girl is all about having a good time with her humans and doggies :D She greets you with a jump or a hug. If you lower your face to hers, she thinks nothing of lathering your face with kisses. She also loves to randomly hug you. She is adoringly affectionate! Sahara is the same with dogs. She loves all dogs. She gets into crazy plays with them. She has been known to shape shift through openings in fences or gates to play with the neighborhood dogs 🤦 She has a love for exploration. She must be a Sagittarius 😊 She has a mostly reliable recall so that’s a huge relief! On walks, she pulls initially because she is so excited to be out and about but she does calm down minutes into the walk. She loves her walks. This girl is a natural explorer. She is a curious girl. Sahara is indifferent to toys. She prefers to be engaging with her humans and doggie friends. She gets excited when you get excited even though she has no idea what the excitement is about. She hops around like a crazy girl because you are happy about something 🤦 Sahara takes treats nicely. She sits and waits for them. Sahara does well in a crate. She keeps a clean crate. Sahara is about 5 years old, 60lb GSD mix. She is looking for a semi-active family with a playful resident dog(s) that she can be besties with. Older children who like to engage with her will make her very happy. Sahara is an ideal family pup.
