Story
*THIS POST IS FOR 2 DOGS* My dogs are brother and sister not spayed or neutered they will be 7 in july i believe. They have papers. They are great dogs they do have a tendency to chew stuff up sometimes when left alone. They are crate trained and find there crates to be their safe place they have been house broken and are let out twice a day. The male excitement/nervous pees sometimes. They have never growled or snarled at me or my son ever. They are great with guests once they know they are wanted guests. Best security system ever. They shed a ton of hair. And require a special kind of food soy wheat and legume free food. They will run if let loose I use tie off cables to let them out. They are amazing dogs I am expecting a child and cannot keep up with the dog hair. One of them needs to be fixed because at all costs they cannot be aloud to breed together. They really are amazing but need someone experienced who can keep up with them please help me find them a forever home.

Story
Meet Renee Renee is one of our absolute staff favorites — and we can’t believe she’s still waiting for her person. She often gets overlooked because she seems scared and unsure in her kennel. The shelter environment just isn’t her comfort zone. But the moment you take her out? It’s like meeting a completely different dog. Outside the kennel, Renee transforms into a total lovebug. She’s a lap dog at heart, soaking up affection and bonding quickly with her people. She’s also an adventure buddy through and through — always ready to explore, go for a hike, take a car ride, or join you on whatever fun the day brings. Renee is incredibly smart — honestly, a little too smart for her own good! She listens beautifully, picks up on cues quickly, and truly wants to please. With her fantastic listening skills and eager-to-learn personality, she would thrive with someone who enjoys an active, engaged companion. Renee just needs someone to look past the shy kennel exterior and see the amazing, loyal, fun-loving dog she truly is. Once you do, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without her.

Story
Please contact Sheri (sswank1@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.  Buck is a 2 1/2 year old DNA tested pooch, and guess what!?! He is exactly 50% GSD and 50% Great Pyrenees. What a fun combo for a dog! He gets super excited when he sees me getting my tennis shoes on, or my ball cap because he knows it means we're going hiking. He's 100 pounds of lean handsomeness. LOL. He does well as a couch potato and is calm in the house on a normal quiet day. He is house trained, crate trained and does well with other non dominant dogs. He is the best with smaller dogs honestly. He loves toys and playing fetch with any ball, and if you don't have time to play, Buck plays by himself. I'm looking for a home without young children because Buck does have herding/guarding tendencies. Buck is looking for someone who loves the big boys, and can handle them. Bucks adoption fee is $200, and includes all up to date vaccines, neuter, microchip, flea and heartworm preventative, and endless love and appreciation from BUCK! Please fill out our non-obligatory application at pawsandprayers.org if you would like to adopt him!! Please email sswank1@gmail.com with any questions. This pet qualifies for the Pets for Patriots program  https://www.petsforpatriots.org/veterans/  January 20, 2026, 12:25 pm

Story
Duke is a good boy! And quite a stunner too! Duke has come a far way since he came into our care, but is still learning! Duke needs a bit of space and guidance to explore things around him productively! We would love to see Duke go to a GSD savvy home, without small children (due to his size). He likes other dogs, but is still working on learning his social skills! Duke is an active boy, but settles down well. He loves his walks and following other dogs around. In foster, Duke hasn't had any accidents in the house nor has he chewed anything. Duke also does well left alone at home uncrated. Fill out an application at www.maggiesmissionrescue.org
