Story
Poor Buckeye came to us emaciated, anemic, and with a large amount of hair loss from a severe flea infestation. It took some time for us to get Buckeye back on track medically, and it took him a little bit to feel more like himself again, but Buckeye is finally feeling all better, and even though he's a senior, he's looking for a fresh start! Buckeye has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and has tested neg. for heartworm which is included in the adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this dog, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays)

Story
Zella has been our baby since she was born—we own her dad also. She’ll be 8 yrs old in October & unfortunately she was diagnosed a couple years ago with hypothyroidism. With 2 kids & another on the way along with me not being able to work, we can no longer afford her medications. I’d love for her to be in a home where she can get the proper care/meds she needs so she can keep living a high quality life. She’s such a sweetheart, very good with kids (we have toddlers), other dogs & cats. As bad as it breaks our hearts to even write this post, we just want her to have a better life than what we are able to give right now. **She does have some fur loss from missing medications unfortunately (you can see a bit on her chest in last pic) but with her meds (thyroid pill + med shampoo) it will be back within just a few weeks.

Story
Sigrid has lived in one home her whole life. My wife raised her from six weeks old, and at 5 she's what that gets you (house trained, crate trained, stays off of furniture, walks well on a leash. She has been great with our 8 year old and new born baby. Good with other dogs but I've never seen her interact with a cat before. She's very playful and loves exercising and needs an outlet that she's not getting here. We're moving somewhere with a breed restriction so unfortunately we need to find a new home for her. She was spayed June 2026, vaccines current. She'd be great with a big family or anyone who wants to walk and work a smart dog.

Story
Hi ! My name is Wilbur and I was found at the County fairgrounds , I am a very large Male German Shepherd . I have had time to decompress and I am starting to come out of my shell. I walk very nice on a leash I do not pull. I am very treat motivated. I know sit and paw. I am not sure just yet how I feel about the other dogs here. As I am still just trying to fit in around here. Every day I am getting a little more comfortable in my new surroundings. So, If you are interested in me please put in a adoption application With my name at the top. "Wilbur" The Dog Shelter's adoption fee is $64 (cash or check). All dogs come with DHPP and Bordetella vaccines, microchipped, a current year dog license, and a certificate to be spayed or neutered (The Dog Shelter pays for it). If it is an owner surrender dog, more vaccine information may be provided. Our hours are Monday thru Friday 10AM-12:00PM and 1PM-4PM and Saturdays 10AM to 2PM. You must be present to adopt and have a current approved adoption application.

🚨 URGENT — HER LIFE MAY DEPEND ON FINDING THE RIGHT HOME 🚨❤️🐾 German Shepherd Girl Looking for Her Last Chance 🐾❤️Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue & TNR may be a cat rescue, but when an animal’s life is hanging in the balance, we want to do everything we can to help. This beautiful German Shepherd girl was born in December 2021, and right now she desperately needs a very specific, experienced home — one that could quite literally save her life. Her family has spent nearly two years trying to make their home work for her, including living with a strict rotation schedule to keep their animals separated. Unfortunately, she has serious aggression toward other animals. She has repeatedly attacked another dog in the home and recently attacked a cat.Because of this, there can be NO exceptions: she MUST be the ONLY animal in her new home. No dogs. No cats. No other pets. Her family has reached the heartbreaking point where, if an appropriate home cannot be found, euthanasia is being considered. 💔We are sharing her because we desperately hope there is someone out there who understands German Shepherds and is willing and able to give this girl the environment she needs to succeed. This is NOT a dog for someone who simply loves the breed and wants to give her a chance. She needs an experienced, responsible German Shepherd owner/handler who understands behavioral management, structure, boundaries and the seriousness of her history. In the right home — where she doesn’t have to share her space with other animals, where her days are predictable, and where her person understands exactly what she needs — we are hoping she can finally have the stability she has been missing. Please, no judgment toward her current family. They have spent years trying to manage an incredibly difficult situation. Right now, judgment won’t save her.A SHARE MIGHT. ❤️Somewhere out there may be the person who has the experience, the right home and the willingness to become this girl’s last chance.🙏 PLEASE SHARE — especially with German Shepherd owners, trainers, breed-experienced homes and rescue contacts.📞 SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY: Please call or text Purrfect Haven Cat Rescue and TNR 330-338-6151They can put you directly in contact with her owner. Her safety — and the safety of the people and animals around her — must come first.🐾 Help us help her. The right person seeing this post could literally mean the difference between life and death. ❤️

Please contact for any questions Pepper has not been around young children so we do not know how she would do with them Pepper is a good girl who loves her people. She is protective of her home. She has lived with two golden retrievers and got along well with them for many years. She just would not do well with dogs she does not know that would growl at her. She is a happy-go-lucky girl and enjoys playing with her toys and having and giving love and affection with her humans.
