Rusty is so sweet. He is timid and shy. He is a gentle old soul that is good with other dogs and cats. He needs a calm, foster or adoptive home where he can feel safe and come out of his shell. He seems to be housebroken and he loves to go on walks. Rusty is very gentle. We are only listing him as needing a home with older children because he is timid and may be overwhelmed with young children screaming and running around. Story
This sweet, lovable girl is Sophie and she’s looking for a home to call her own. She is a 7 month old, mixed breed pup who will be about 60lbs full grown and is the most lovable girl. She just loves lick and love on her person! Her favorite pastime is chewing on Benebones and her treat filled kong. She is very treat motivated which has worked well for obedience training and grabbing her attention. Sophie’s forever home should be one with the time and consistency to continue obedience training as she is still a puppy and learning how to be a great family dog. She would do best in a house with bigger dogs as she likes to play tough and bigger dogs are better suited for her play style (also no cats). Its recommended potential homes have older children as she still jumps. Sophie is house trained and sleeps through the night in her crate without making a peep! Is Sophie the missing piece to your family? Fill out our application form here: www.coldnosewarmheart.org/apply-now.html

Story
Meet Zengo! Zengo is a 7 mo german shepherd/ great pyrenees mix looking for his forever home. He is a sweet and gentle boy who loves long walks, being outside, playing tug, and scavenging for the perfect stick. In addition to being exceptionally cute, he is also a quick learner. He is potty trained, crate trained, and has mastered most basic obedience commands such as "sit", "down", "come", and "leave it". He loves working on obedience and is eager to learn new things. He has also been working on loose leash walking and is quickly becoming a pro. Zengo was unfortunately diagnosed with endocrine pancreatic insufficiency, a condition in which his pancreas no longer produces the digestive enzymes needed to digest his food. Because of this he requires enzyme supplementation with all his meals so he can absorb the nutrients from his food. This condition causes him to be malnourished and makes it difficult for him to feel full. He is currently in the stabilization phase from his illness and his current family is still working to find a feeding regimen that works for him. Currently he is on a diet of chicken/egg/rice, but is slowly being reintroduced to kibble. Zengo would do best with a family who has time and flexibility to help him through his illness. He would do well in a home with other dogs. He seems to have a high prey drive so would do best in a home without cats. He seems to have some apprehension around males, but does warm up with time. He has not spent any time around young children. www.coldnosewarmheart.org/apply-now.html @cnwhnj @coldnosewarmheartnj

Story
EMMIE is just a darling, 1 yr old, 48 lb Shepherd Mix.... she is mostly full grown. Still quite puplike....a lot of fun. Emmie asks we convey, "TOYS are MANDATORY wherever she goes!" She loves car rides and is learning leash wallks are pretty cool too! Emmie was in a prior home with Panda (also posted for adoption). Emmie loves all the dogs in her foster home and will be fine adopted to a new home without Panda. They will both be ok separated.... even though they do love each other very much. Previous owner surrendered them because he was being evicted an could not take the dogs to his new place. Law enforcement was called on the guy because he was leaving the dogs without shelter or food for days at a time. As this is terribly sad, these two seem non-affected..... they are adjusting very well in foster care. Enjoying their food and treats. We are moving them forward..... never to look back. Emmie will make some luck Family so very happy. Emmie is currently in West Tennessee (Gleason). Contact Lisa at 731-499-0739 or oatsvall973@yahoo.com. Adoption fee is $200. Transport in addition is $175 if needed.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
This remarkable dog was discovered abandoned in a rural area where he had endured exposure to the rain for an indeterminate period. Concerned passersby initially suspected he was injured, but upon my arrival, he eagerly hopped into my car and indulged in an entire box of treats. He's proven to be the most entertaining, affectionate, and intelligent companion I've ever encountered. His teeth bear the marks of neglect rather than age-related wear, and we estimate his age to be around 4-5 years. He adores car rides, and walks, and remains a loyal, dependable companion who never strays far. He is fully house-trained, adept at using a pet door, and gets along famously with other dogs. One of his ears has a distinctive appearance due to a past illness or injury that went untreated, but our vet has addressed it, and it appears to be in good condition now, although it will retain its unique appearance. If you're interested in welcoming Knuckles or any of our Funny Farm friends into your home, please visit funnyfarmpets.org to learn more about our Tennessee-based rescue, the adoption process, the comprehensive vetting procedures these pets undergo before they come to your home, and to submit an adoption application. The adoption fee for this pet is $325, and an additional $200 is required for transport. Currently located in a foster home in Tennessee, this pet will be transported to a northern location after the adoption process is finalized. For details on meeting locations and the transport process, please visit the transport tab at funnyfarmpets.org.
