Story
This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions. Say hello to Sydney, a 3.5-month-old, 20 pound German Shepherd / Australian Shepherd mix who’s all heart with three legs! This playful pup is ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and lots of wagging tails. Despite having an amputated rear leg and part of her tail, Sydney doesn’t let anything slow her down. In fact, she runs better than she walks and has no problem keeping up with her four-legged friends. Sydney has a medium energy level and loves nothing more than playing with other dogs. Whether she’s getting bowled over in a game of chase or splashing around in water, this little trooper is all in. She’s also a fan of toys, chew sticks, and a good scratch behind the ears. Housetrained and crate trained, Sydney sleeps through the night and is learning commands like “sit” and “come.” While she’s still getting the hang of leash walking and car rides, her gentle, loving nature makes her a joy to have around. Sydney would thrive in almost any home, especially one that’s mindful of keeping her at a healthy weight to support her single hind leg. If you’re looking for a loyal, resilient, and playful companion, Sydney is your girl!  Interested in adopting? Take the first step and complete an adoption application on our website: http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-apps/ If you have questions that are not covered in the profile, visit the Pet Inquiry Form: http://aarf-tn.com/contact/pet-inquiry-form/. THIS PET IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE! We do list and adopt our pets nationwide. Typical transport cost to the Northeast is $180. Due to interstate adoption regulations, we are not able to adopt to RI and MA state residents. A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first! Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption. September 16, 2024, 6:41 pm

Story
Tennessee is the embodiment of your ideal furry companion. A striking blend of Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd, he's just 2 years old and bursting with energy. Tennessee thrives in a dynamic environment, making him the perfect fit for an active household. Despite his boundless energy, he possesses a gentle nature and remarkable intelligence. If you're seeking a trainable partner, Tennessee is your perfect match. Beyond his exuberance, he knows how to appreciate moments of stillness and enjoys cuddling up with his favorite humans. His luscious black sable fur requires regular brushing to maintain its health and stunning appearance. Tennessee is well-versed in basic commands, walks gracefully on a leash, and has excellent recall and boundaries. While he's tolerant of other dogs, his lack of exposure during his formative years means he's still learning proper pack manners. He's not one to bark unnecessarily, reserving his vocalizations for when something seems amiss. Tennessee is kennel trained, although he's not shy about expressing his dissatisfaction with confinement. Nevertheless, he can be trusted to behave responsibly when left alone at home. Plus, he's up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, neutered, and fully housebroken, making him the paw-fect addition to your family.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 15, 2024, 10:51 am

Lavagirl is ready to go go go! Lava is a smart girl in a petite package who is eager to show you what she knows and learn more. She would love someone who is active to be her new companion. Lava has beautiful form as she trots along beside her handler. She is neutral to others on her walks and has been good playing with some males. No female pals, small sassy dogs, or kitties for Lava, please. She wants to be the queen of the castle. Lava has high drive and is motivated by food as well as praise. She would be a great hobby sport dog or just an active companion.

Story
Meet Freya who needs your support and compassion! She is 8 months old (DOB 12/7/23), a SPECIAL NEEDS dog who will be up for adoption. Freya has an ectopic bladder, a congenital abnormality in dogs where the ureters, which carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder, don't connect to the bladder in the normal position. She does have issues with urine leakage, so I'm training her to wear panties. She will be having surgery for her condition (no date on that yet) & we are hopeful that it will correct the leaking, but it's no guarantee. Char-Wills German Shepherd Rescue is asking for donations to help with Freya's surgery & care. If you would like to donate towards her surgery you can mail it to Char Wills German Shepherd Rescue, 2 E Railroad Ave, New Ringgold, PA 17960 (make a note it's for Freya's surgery)

Story
Update: Diamond was just sent to our Prison Socialization Program today, 9/3/24, and will not be available for adoption for a month. Once she's back at the rescue and ready to go, we will give more information on her! Diamond started out a little shy here but it is amazing to see how well she plays with certain male dogs; she is relentless. A smaller female she can dish it out and still keep things under control. She is, needless to say coming out of her shell with the assistance of other dogs it is hard to know about their past lives with humans but she is showing her skills in the dog world. She's smaller in shape and size and is definitely holding her own and then some... more to follow.

Story
Xena is an absolutely beautiful female German Shepherd who was brought to the shelter by the police on July 25th after responding to complaints regarding a dog locked in the rear of a property. After getting in touch with her owner, they decided to surrender her to the shelter. The officers speculated that she was being kept outside and noted that she was emaciated. They remarked that she was "wonderful, gave them no issues, and despite her condition was a "strong puller. With the proper guidance, this lovely lady will be a shining star! She knows sit and is eager to please especially when treats are involved. Due to some eagerness to eat treats, she would do best in a home with kids 10 and older.
